I shipped books back from a trip I took. I used UPS 3 day. It arrived in perfect timing on day 2 of arrival home. No hassle! I use small packing cubes and number them for the days. I roll pants, shirts, undies and socks all together. I just pull out the specific cube for the day. As days go on, the used cubes go into the bottom of my backpack. I carry plastic bags to put dirty clothes in and they go back into the cube. I have traveled extensively. This method evolved over time. Simplicity!
Your outfit considerations are exactly what I follow when traveling as a woman (1-2 weeks with one backpack half yours' size). Thanks for putting this info on the web!
I'm dressier than you when I travel (especially thru the holidays) but I definitely appreciated your principles and thought process. (Altho nothing to stop you from bringing a patterned scarf - provided it goes with most of your outfits, can go along way to add variation and chique to your wardrobe; and you can wear it on the plane so no problem. I'd also add a hat for same reasons). Personally I don't see any reason to take a laptop on a holiday, but you probably need it? FYI, RUclips isn't letting me like this video so that's something you might want to look into. As a creator you should be getting your due likes; and I would like to see more videos like this achieving popularity (vs so many of the extremely impractical and unrealistic packing videos that are out there)
You can do it. I did 7 weeks, carryon only, Canada, winter. It's doable. (I've been looking at the cheap flights in Europe that are personal item only and it's so tempting I'm challenging myself to make that work. FYI I'm Aussie - we never travel abroad for
Packing all your pants in one cube, all your tops in another cube and undies in another cube means you have to dig out three cubes to dress. Rolling pants, top, undies and socks all in one means you only have to access one cube for the day.
I think this was reasonable for winter. San Fran gets pretty cold. Personally I'd have taken less outerwear and packed some thermals, but we all travel different and have different fashion styles

Love packing videos. I also did a personal item backpack packing video.

Looked extremely comfortable to me

@@susie9893 Yes, I think everyone has their own formula for what works for them! Thank you ☺️ Glad it was helpful!
I like how you showed what all of the clothes would look like while wearing them, not very many people do that
thanks! glad that helped :)
I want to travel like this 🔥🔥🔥
you can do it!!! 😄
Good ideas!
thanks for watching! :)
Why does no one talk about space saver vacuum bags. They save so much more space then packing cubes. They are cheep and you have so much more room.
They save space but not weight. And weight is becoming an increasing issue with airlines these days (even in the States).
I’m going to travel for four weeks and four days with only a carry on!! Wish me luck!! 🍀
good luck!!

Space is important, but weight is key.
Hi do you know how much it weighs?
Hi I am not sure as I didn’t weigh it, but I don’t think it was more than 20 lbs!

But that restricts you to that particular outfit. A lot of us find we like to mix things up
Great video :) What backpack is that?
Thanks for watching and hope it helped! It’s a Timbuk2 :) I’ve had it for like 7 years and it’s still holding up
@@palomaexplores thank you! Keep up the great vids :)
Dresses are a good option too
That is so true! I think that's what I'm missing 🤔
Is your backpack 30L ?
I certainly don't think more than that. I'm guessing 25?
Paloma: 5'3" 110 lbs
Me: 6'5" 280 lbs.
Think I'll check a bag...or two.
5'5" - 220 lbs me, would be OK with a tad bigger bag maybe...
No shoes?
Oh good, thought I'd missed it. I'm guessing she only took the pair she wore on the plane.
Personal item only requires ruthlessness
Still a bit too many clothes
I'm sure I could have packed even less ;)

Not form fitting - i hate tight clothes!!
Pack what you feel comfortable wearing :)
