Yes I’d like to know the weight of your pack too. I usually take an international sized carryon with wheels. It’s hard to get it down to 7kg, (I’m Australian and our carriers have a maximum weight limit of 7kg), although I can do so by strategically packing some stuff in my small backpack. Well done on a great packing video. I think pack slightly heavier than you. For a winter trip I usually take 4 tops, 3 bottoms, 3 layers, a nice blouse for dinners out, leggings and an exercise t-shirt and a swimsuit (hot tubs). I also take 1-2 extra pair of shoes. The overarching principle of packing light is to get rid of everything you don’t need and you have demonstrated this very well. Great packing! Enjoy your trip!
Thanks so much 😊. The backpack has about 6kg (with the water bottle being empty). I was in Australia just last year 😀. That’s handy when you can distribute it between your carry-on and personal item bag. My bag actually counts as personal item 🙂
Great colour palette - and one of my personal faves too (incl. orange). It helps to be low-maintenance in the make-up/cosmetics department and I like to pack this way, as well!
Thank you for watching 😊 Yeah, that’s kind off my fall/winter colour palette, in spring/summer my colour palette gets a bit more colourful or at least the colours are similar but a bit more vibrant 🙂
I actually almost never wear makeup in my daily life but I usually do take a minimum of makeup when I travel, bcos it can elevate an outfit so that I don't have to take a whole extra outfit. That and a pair of dressy earrings 😃
I love your colorful mix and match wardrobe. I travel very lightly too but usually limit myself to black, gray, and white so all your wonderful colors are inspiring me to mix it up more on my next trip.
I am so glad to finally found minimal backpack winter travel. I am always make my travel simple and planning to go travel where it is very cold now. Hope I can do close to what you did . Cross the finger
If you tried merino wool, you could pack only 1 extra pr of socks and my base layers are great beneath clothes and are awesome to sleep in since they are warm. Your video was really interesting and thorough. Happy trails
This makes me feel a lot better about my packing choices. I've been getting down on myself a bit for doing 'carryon only' in severe cold. But you took more than I did and much milder weather. Have you considered bamboo joggers instead of those massive happy pants? I realise you love those pants but bamboo joggers are much more versatile (get the right 1s and can even wear to a restaurant) and SO much more comfortable
Thank you for watching 😊. I only wear flip-flops in the shower when I stay at hostels, on this trip I mainly did housesitting and a few nights in hotels, so I didn’t need flip-flops. They’re a must on a summer trip though 🩴☀️
I am so impressed! I am definitely not a minimalist when it comes to travelling, but I still learned so many tips from you. Thank you! Also, what brand is your day bag?
Thanks so much 😊. A few years ago I would never have imagined either that I’ll travel with such a small bag in winter 😅. I recommend your first minimalist packing trip to be in summer, it’s easier and once you see the benefits, it gets easier for winter as well 🙂
Kindred trilogy by Octavia E Butler Ikea are bringing out an electronics bag Can you do a video on how you matched your outfit colours? I've started using a Scrubba bag. So I want to change my wardrobe to be able to be warm but have things that are easy to handwash too.
@@sunlight8299 thanks for the recommendation, I’ll give the reading sample a try 🙂 Haven’t been to IKEA in ages! You’re not supposed to have a personal item in Australia. The guidelines say a carryon bag plus a small handbag but after the pandemic and airlines losing bags, there was no way I was going to check a bag. I checked with my travel agent and she said a small backpack would be fine. The airline weighed my carryon and didn’t bat an eyelid about the backpack. Some people had bigger bags than mine. They didn’t seem to worry too much as long as it was a size that could go under the seat in front. It wasn’t weighed.
The personal item in Europe is basically a backpack that can go underneath the front seat. So it sounds like they’re just using different names for the same thing if I’m not mistaken
You sure made a lovely video. Wondering how you got through security with your liquids all mixed in with other stuff. Those places have very mild winters.
Thank you 😊. Yes, you’re right. My plastic bag broke so I need to get a new one next time at the airport, they usually hand them out for free and it doesn’t take long to quickly throw all the liquids into the plastic bag. Yeah, Barcelona and London have quite warm winters. But I would dress the same in Austria in winter (that’s where I’m from). Haven’t really been to any places colder than that 🫣
@@marysusansusan Luckily I always had a very short period. Since this video I had to change my contraceptive for medical reasons and now I don’t get a period anymore at all, so now I don’t even take these period underwear anymore
I use a razor where you have to swap the whole head and not just a single blade, I’ve taken it on numerous international flights and I never had a problem with it, I usually put it in my liquids bag so it’s clearly visible. My boyfriend has traveled with a razor with single exchangeable blades and this was also not a problem. And tweezers should always be fine anyway.
I am curious about your boots? What brand are they? If I am not mistaken, they are barefoot boots and do they have a removable felt liner?? They look like excellent boots for travel! (& I really like your videos plus tips for vegan eating while travelling.)
Thanks 😊. Yes, they are barefoot boots, I added the felt liners separately since my feet were still a little bit cold with the liners that came with the shoes. I sprayed them once with a water resistant spray thingy and so far my feet stayed dry. The shoes are from xero: xeroshoes.com/go/Veganderlust
It’s from ZERUM, an eco-friendly Austrian company. Unfortunately, they’re not available internationally. They have stores in Austria and they only ship to Austria and Germany

I love your wardrobe & color scheme. It's so nice to see something that isn't all beige, white and black.
@@sdelacour3 thank you 😊 yeah, I love to wear colourful clothes 😀
This was the first minimalist packing video I've seen that had a colorful wardrobe (love) and that wasn't completely unrealistic for me to attempt. 💙👍

I agree 100%! Am so tired of the beige brigade... shows a capsule wardrobe does not need to be dull and boring 😊
