    Caught a 30lb striper on top water. My rod and reel where cracking and popping like they were gonna break. Thankfully, it held together to give me one of the best fishing experiences in my life.

      Must’ve been awesome. I’ve caught a dozen stripers over 30, and a handful over 40, but they were all deep water trolling. I can only imagine hooking into one on the surface

      I got 100 plus lb tarpon from the beach In sabastian fl during the mullet run a 2 years ago. Crazy fight I could only imagine adding 100lbs to it.

    My biggest LMB wasn’t my heaviest. 30” long, but skinny since it was caught in the dead of winter in deep water. A little over 12lbs… never caught him again, so I’ll never how big that monster really was.

    I'm an avid bass fisherman, but recently started catfishing for big cats 50+lbs. I have to say it makes catching an 8-10lb bass make you rethink a big fish.

      7ibs is a really nice fish. You got some shlaunch Smallies there, too. They’re here in Southern NH that size, as well, but i’ve only got a few 5+ and one 6 to my name if it makes you feel any better.

    I'm 55 years old and this summer was my best with multiple 10 lb fish .It's taken 20 years and it all came the same summer ,it was hard to let them go ,but I got pictures and maybe get to catch those guys again in the future.

    I had this moment back in March. I caught a 7.3 pound bass and beat my pb which was 6.2 pounds. I’m still waiting for the day I catch one in the double digits.
