I haven't had the og maker's mark in years. Maybe I should grab a bottle....
Weird. My comments got deleted or never posted. Anyway, Dillon should have gotten the Evan Williams right. And I think the bourbon are all so distinct that most people could probably pick it out. Remus vs makers would be so different in terms of flavor and mouthfeel that there is no way you can confuse the two. Evan Williams has that slight tanic and sour note.

I gotta get a Makers again, it's been awhile, the Evan has is the same issue that McKenna has there's too big a variance between barrels, it's like they don't even make an effort to have a more limited flavor profile with-in the single barrel line, when they're good they're really good, otherwise they can be so marginal.
Props to Dylan's palate.....even though he wasn't very deferential.

these videos are starting to be suspect. Way too often someone nails the distiller/ brand too easily
Pretty easy to ID Makers with this line up. The wheater sweetness amongst rye should be distinct. Surprised Dillon couldn’t get Evan Williams which has that sour flavor. MGP is tough because they have so many mashbills but I think these guys only drink Remus. I think they should do Calumet and Tote picks to make it difficult. Throw in some Turkey.
I haven't had the chance to try any Remus yet. We have a bottle of the og Maker's that my wife uses for cocktails, so I poured some while watching this. ...And damn if it isn't really tasty stuff!
It's easy to grow a bias against the standard-issue cheap stuff, but really it's a classic for a reason.
