Hey ive been watching you since the boat days and whenever I watch your videos its just helps me through everything im going through, you've helped me for years jake and I hope one day i can have a life like yours where I choose how I live
that shock is bent.... and the rubber bushing is supposed to have a metal sleeve around the bolt to prevent over-tightening... it looked like it had fallen out....
Hey buddy, I hear if I’m early to the comments I can get some love? Haha, jeeps looking great ! Check grounds if battery is good, do a big 3 ground setup!! awesome edit & video, I must say you have come along way in knowing what works best for you two on the road, the bike is a nice addition. Keep it up brotha. Cheers
Man i am loving the new rig. Its easy traveling around in a new vehicle but not much of an actual adventure. This might be frustrating but adds to the experience. Nothing like putting an old classic back to work. Keep up the great videos. Hopefully kenzi and you can deal with each other for the long term in such a small space.
Thats the upside to buying a new modern vehicle....generally far more reliable and computers tell you what's broken. I loved my old Cj7 back in Hawaii....but it left me stranded way too many times. I still loved it though. (love hate lol)
At 2:52, the shot where you covered the Rainbow along with the ocean was just so AMAZING!!!!! Sending you lots of love and positivity all the way from India!!
Not too bad Jake, check your engine to chassis or battery ground for that weak starter before changing it out. Im building an old wagoneer as well at the moment. Keep the vids coming, love your stuff.
JAKE, My first Jeep was a 1977 CJ7 genuine certified POS basket case. The engine was literally in the back in a basket in 1000 pieces. It had run out of oil & grenaded under load. I replaced that engine. I spent the next 14 yrs laying under that SOB most every weekend. In 2003 I found myself in a position to be able to purchase a brand new Wrangler TJ. I sold that old POS to an unsuspecting young woman. I was surprised when she did not return it & demand her money back or threaten to sue me!! BOY! What a world of difference trailing a new Jeep!! I got my weekends back! I no longer had to set aside most of my spare $$ for repair parts!! We drove that TJ for 9 yrs until the straight 6 needed replacement & we traded it for a new 2012 JKU. We are now lusting after a what? A Gladiator? Or a Bronco ? Old iron is sure easy on the wallet to acquire, BUT, the cost in time & money to keep them going sometimes is more than payments on a new one. See You on the Trails!! !
Alright alright alright breaking out with da tools... I'd checked wiring as well... I was on a trip 3 weeks ago and thought I needed an alternator but turned out some wires had worn through but I didn't see them until I replace the alternator.
Headers always leak and constantly need resealing. The negatives far outweigh the positives. Get rid of them immediately. They're cooking your starter and making it very difficult to get to at the same time. Dependability is what you want. Good to see you back!!!
the jeep luck thing is just down to maintanance or lack thereof before you left, if you have left, on a trip that big you should buy new suspension new fanbelts power steering belts radiator hoses heater hoses change out all the wheel bearing basically go over the car from head to toe check all bolts and if they look even the slightest bit worn change them out ,, I went on a big trip 7 years ago and thought my 97 toyota was fine until i started really looking found all types of things that werent up to a big trip around $3000 in changing out bad parts i didnt realise were that bad until i started really looking, never missed a beat on that trip no breakdowns no lose bolts money well spent for peace of mind ,, unless you like doing road side work on your car and tow trucks
So glad to see you back man. I really like the new to you jeep and it definitely fits the lifestyle better with more room and everything. As always great video!
I have 30 years of experience with headers, and what I have leaned is that eventually exhaust headers always leak. The best thing to prevent leaks on them is to use the expensive cometic multi layer aluminum gaskets, they last the longest, but will eventually fail also. Also the stage 8 locking header bolts help keep the header bolts tight, which also helps the gasket last longer. Also ignore everyone who says get a Toyota, they are overrated for dependability. My 05 Tacoma trd pro. Which I in affectionately called the TURD Pro, was the second biggest piece of junk I ever owned. The engine and trans never broke down, but everything else did. It was only beaten out by my wife’s 89 Chevy lumina for the worst car we have ever owned. That how bad that Tacoma was.
JAKE, RE : HIDDEN GEMS... All parks & campgrounds are hidden gems. Be they along the great lakes, or in the desert, or in the rockies, or the southern swamps or where ever. Nature is the BOMB!! !
@4:00 hardware stores won't carry a header bolt . Best to pull two out of the header because they can be two different lengths and stop at a Napa. And see if they have a header wrench for header bolts not Exhaust manifold bolts
It was obvious that water was cold, Kinsey! That's not a bee hive, that's a hornet's nest! Should knock it down now before it gets big and holds a lot of hornets. They'll gang up on you!
This dude is basically a bum, that lives off of Patreon support. Admittedly he is good at editing videos and making content. But he’s still living off the kindness of others.
You know I've been thinking the same way. My idea, IDK if I'd ever go for it, would be to get my own Pilot Truck (for oversize loads, I do it rn anyway lol) and do it that way. you're always headed somewhere new so you take a job to X, it covers all the expenses there and back, and you're already there so why not explore until the next job comes up!
If you want to live like that then get skills. Know how to fix things by yourself. Learn something to do online. Maybe you can travel and sell things. If you can document yourself then be honest.
Nacho, Tricka, and BackPack I agree with you 3. I'm not hating on the guy. Once in a while I'll watch his vids. I'm just a little jelly of being able to go be carefree with a beautiful (and smart) great girl. I just wish I was rich..... you know that dream many of us have to not have to worry about finances. My landlord is loaded and he'll give me (a ton of) money to start my own business, but my pride and ego won't accept it. If I make it, I want to do it myself. Again... I bear no I'll will to Jake, girl, doggy, or the Jeep. I'm just a little jelly atm.
I always pack water for my trips no mater what, because you never can guess the quality of water at camp sites. Plus most of my time is spent away from camp sites, so it has turned into a routine of bringing my own.
I'd check the terminals on the battery and starter first. Given its still turning over it might just be getting low voltage. Make sure the battery terminals are tight as with the one on the starter, hopefully a simple fix. Im an apprentice auto electrician not just a RUclips know it all, granted with out actually looking at it i can't be sure

And who cares what you think? He knows what he is doing
😆😆😆😆😆😆😊😊😊😊😃😃😃😃😃
JAAAAAKKKKKEEEEEE!! Replace that shock if u haven’t already guy! That shaft is 110% bent. Also, looks like you might have a pinion seal leak! (Just based off of looking at the amount of oil on the leafs and axle housing and stuff) just a heads up! (Again, if you haven’t addressed it already! 😉) glad to see you’re well!
You look good like this!! The beehive: it's the queen, starting a whole new hive. It's gonna be bigger and bigger. She does the work now, than breeding new bees and than they will do the work and the queen stays in from that point, making baby's.. lot's of them...
6.30 reminds me of a funny experience many years ago. During a very hot heat wave, here in the UK (about 1974), a team of us were working in excessive heat and very dehydrated. One person was sent to get some water for all of us, from a cool water source, with a small bottle, a few hundred yards away. When he returned, and when we all lined up for some of that water, (in one container/bottle), he said, 'I went for it, I get first drink'!.
I've been with you for a few years, and I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. But simple stuff like missing header bolts and a failing starter should have all been addressed before you left for the trip man.. I want to see you succeed but it just leaves me wondering what you've been doing during all this time? I know we're not obligated for an answer...
So glad you’re back Jake. Looking forward to the next part of your adventure
big facts bro
Agreed I think we all were elated to see them back on the road
Does Jake know what OnlyFans is? I feel like he would do well there. Make six figures easily.
Has 4Runner, drives the Jeep and breaks down, yet still confused. lol
Looks like your shock bent and broke the bolt, make sure you have the correct length shock. Have fun!
That shock shaft looked bent to me jake
Hey buddy, I hear if I’m early to the comments I can get some love? Haha, jeeps looking great ! Check grounds if battery is good, do a big 3 ground setup!! awesome edit & video, I must say you have come along way in knowing what works best for you two on the road, the bike is a nice addition. Your film production turned next level. Love your refreshed spirit
Its 2am and I'm sitting here wondering why im still awake, turns out my brain knew a new vid was comin lol
So stoked you're back my friend! Sounds like the battery was weak and not so much a starter problem.
That jeep life hahaha, love that you are back on line mate
You should do a video to explain why you were gone
think he went home during holiday time then the whole quarantine thing
Sweet jeep looking good trailer looking good heck you could add some canvas to the sides of the lid and make you a pop up on the end of the trailer
That trailer is the perfect shape for that jeep. I like this setup.
Dude the water jug scene when it was just dumping all over it made me lose it 😂😂
Thats the upside to buying a new modern vehicle....generally far more reliable and computers tell you what's broken. I loved my old Cj7 back in Hawaii....but it left me stranded way too many times. I still loved it though. (love hate lol)
Hey man.. I've seen you comment before and just wanted to say computers won't tell you that bolts are missing... I don't mean to be negative.
I had a 80’s something Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and it spent more time on a tow truck than the road. I loved it though.
At 2:52, the shot where you covered the Rainbow along with the ocean was just so AMAZING!!!!! Sending you lots of love and positivity all the way from India!!
Damn it man... marry her! I want to see that video.
It's nice to see you're back at it. Happy to see you and Kenzie are still living life to the fullest keep it up.
Not too bad Jake, check your engine to chassis or battery ground for that weak starter before changing it out. Im building an old wagoneer as well at the moment. Keep the vids coming, love your stuff.
Need new shocks also, the one with the missing bolt is bent.

Shock looks bent too bro!

That's life mate! Don't focus on the negative things. Old Jeeps are difficult to maintain, when you have custom mods most of times is worse.
I agree with the comments below for the start up issue. Check grounds and your battery output.
Please, please wear a PFD when kayaking. Windy, cold and choppy water = dangerous kayaking conditions.
just good to see you uploading again :)
What happened to the 3rd dog?
Don’t know if you noticed yet but your shock looked a little bent there bud 🤫🤫
Time for banana pancakes.

noisey voyur this guy was supposedly a mechanic in the US Airforce smh
That shock is bent 😂
Hey Jake, next time you come through Colorado, stop by John's 4x4 in Boulder if you need some work done on the rig, we'll get ya taken care of!
I bought my supercharged dodge ram from rick bern. It was a black 01 that you guys built
WHERES JIMMY!?!?!?
Glad to see you back. We were just in Astoria and I was wondering if you were ever coming back to RUclips
Hi Jake long time no see. Good to see you back Hello to Kinsey. Half the fun with the jeep is fixing em. Stay safe and fun. thumbs up.
So glad to see you back man. I really like the new to you jeep and it definitely fits the lifestyle better with more room and everything. As always great video!
Glad to see your videos again!

considering they never made an 05 trd pro i call bullshit.
JAKE,
RE : HIDDEN GEMS...
All parks & campgrounds are hidden gems. Be they
along the great lakes, or in the desert, or in the rockies,
or the southern swamps or where ever.
Nature is the BOMB!!
!
Jake you need to hit up Chris fix RUclips channel and do a collab where he works on your vehicular needs :)
Glad to see u back on the road bud
Jake's back. Makes quarantining not so bad....
Video title should read “I have Jeeps”
Coming to the lower part at all some good wheeling on Drummond island that's right up their
Glad ur back man!!! Passed u on the hwy!!! Platteville Wisconsin in the house!!!!
2:12 "utilized it" now thats funny
You both have such laid back attitudes. Glad you found each other. Jeep on!!
@4:00 hardware stores won't carry a header bolt . Best to pull two out of the header because they can be two different lengths and stop at a Napa. And see if they have a header wrench for header bolts not Exhaust manifold bolts
Awesome to have you back buddy!
I'm so happy to see you on the road and doing what you love!

That's not a bee hive, that's a hornet's nest! Should knock it down now before it gets big and holds a lot of hornets. They'll gang up on you!
The nest appears to be a bald faced hornets , lucky y'all didn't get lit up!
RIP Jade
I'm questioning my life. I work for what? I need to find a way to get income while living like you.

I wouldn't be opposed to a sugar momma set up😁
Bet the header bolt is sheered. Not that it fell out and is missing.
That’s a WASP nest, don’t go giving 🐝’s a bad name.
Please keep making videos. we missed you!

Where’s Jimmies?
It was mentioned in the comments of the other video, Kinseys family adaptoped him! Fits the lifestyle much better!
Crazy Airborne it was just a commenter! He never said anything.
Good to see you back Jake!!! Keep safe and healthy on the road!!!
What happened to Jimmy ?
Dogs in the kayak 👍💕
That flint water 👌
Epic Rainbow shot! Living the dream, safe travels! ❤️
So glad u are back

Very glad that you are back! Love the videos!
Been a while Jake. By the looks of the do, are you not in the AF anymore? Keep on trucking bro...always enjoy your editing of your vids.
You guys should go to pictured rocks. There is a great campground by there called South gemini lake. You wont regret it!
A bug out bike with your bug out truck is a real game changer!
Didn't you guys have 3 dogs? What happened to the pug?
It was mentioned in the comments of the other video, Kinseys family adaptoped him! Fits the lifestyle much better!
Crazy Airborne yeah, this is what someone else said. He never addressed it himself.
I think you should switch it up. Time for a land cruiser.
are you thinking 80 series or 100 series?
A 60 series would probably be more his style but I think an 80 series is much more practical. And the 100 series a bit more practical.
Gay
Good stuff Jake! I hope to make it to the lakes one day.
Just in case no-one gets it. He was immediately asked (in true UK fashion!), why he didn't get a drink at the water source!
Great camping spot!
Lovin the Jeep man! I've even a few of those forsake here. Loved em since hairy and the Henderson's hahaha
Amazingly awesome video as always 🙌
That shock looks a bit bent...
Glad you're back jake!!
By the way, glad to see that you are posting again
That place is beautiful, I'm glad your having a great time!! There is always something to work on our Jeeps right? LOL
Jeez mate I am feeling for you, but I'm unsure how you manage to complain with Kinsey running around in a bikini. Must be a Jeep thing
It is so damn good seeing you back on the road..
Ahhhhh, Jeep campin on the Beach! Don't get much better. (and that bike def comes in handy) So, Keep on Jeepin!!
2:06 🤙😁👍🏼 you’re Welcome!!
If you want some real hidden gems you need to come up north and spend the time on the greatest of lakes. I can point you to a few super special spots.
It's a show!
Great seeing you guys back. I think that was either a wasp or hornet nest, not a bee hive.
Just ls swap the wagoneer I’ve had a couple and never had luck with all the smog stuff on those 360s or remove all smog and efi kit ?
