I loved this tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing. I know you mentioned sfic, what temp did you find worked best for swirling ? Your soap came out beautiful .
@@isabellegraceli5341 Thank you so much Isabelle. I don't use SFIC alot, but when I do, it's usually the goat milk and the aloe base. I've found that, for me, the best swirling temp is around 125°. I'm so sorry for the delayed reply.
This was a wonderful video for the beginner soap maker. Thank you for being so down to earth and for explaining so clearly how to go about this process.

I’m just about to make my first melt and pour soap and I’m so glad I found your video. I love the way you poured and explained everything and your soap is so beautiful.
Your soap is very pretty. I will have to try your technique to create the swirl. I just started making soap about a year ago. I'm getting lots of ideas watching videos that different soap makers are creating. Thank you for sharing.
These soaps are beautiful! 😍 My friend asked me to make her some marble/swirl soaps and I'm definitely gonna be using this process! 🤗 The tutorial was great!
I understand the waiting problem.....I have been making CP for about six months now....Patience, Patience, Patience......it is so hard to wait! Thank you for this video as I am turning my attention to MP for a spell. God Bless....
Yes I’ve been making CP for a while now too and waiting is definitely the hard part and I have zero patience….but I’ve gotten much better with that :) I’m still making MP and I still love it just as much as I ever did. There are pros and cons to both CP and MP. I plan to continue making both of them forever :)
Great video. Only just found you. Thanks for watching my melt and pour videos. Im glad they helped. I have not soaped for almost 2 years now. Hopefully I will get back to it in the future.
@@jencrazysoaplady Thanks so much. No, no soap making at all. Covid killed my business. I'm now looking after my 80-year-old mum and she can't stand the smell of the fragrances.
That was a great video and I loved how you talked and explained everything but you weren't dragging it on and on. You explained everything beautifully and I really liked how you went into describing the different bases you've used and the results you got out of each one. I agree 100% that there aren't nearly enough MP videos out there. I'd suggest videoing anything you do. There's always going to be someone who can benefit even if it's something " simple " like layering ( which isn't always that simple lol ) Can't wait to see more videos !!! Stay safe !! I'm down in south Alabama and luckily we haven't gotten "hit" with this mess yet.
I agree there are not enough melt and pour videos out there. In the beginning I had attitude about M&P not being "real" soap making (whatta soap snob!) But I pulled the stick out and can admit I love how easy it is to do and I love it! And since I've run outta time to make Christmas cold process gifts... here we go. This is by far the best M&P swirl video I've found. Thank you for this demonstration!
Thank you so much Sarah 💓 I make cold process too but I'm so glad I started out with m&p first. I love them both and they both have some great advantages.
great video, I think you did great, I think sometimes people get lost in trying to make fancy videos and lose sight of the fact that they are trying to teach. I loved how you explained and went through the process. Ill be looking for more videos! : )
Thank you for your video The soap is beautiful. I have been waiting and watching videos on melt and pour. Your's is the easy and best. I am going to try it tomorrow. Be encouraged, I am sure a lot of others have been waiting for you. God bless your hands
❤ the Darth Vader comment! Great sense of humor - keep posting! Nice job - I am a newbie, too, and not really confident with CP soap yet so watching your tutorial just gave me confidence to dive into my M&P soap making! Ty! 🙏❤️🤘
I watched Dean a lot before going in for my first swirl with 2 colors... I wrote down the temperatures and was ready to copy some of his techniques. And it drove me CRAZY that I couldn't get NEAR the temperatures he uses, before my soap starting to solidify. Now I see your video and you say that with Stephenson base, you can't go that low. So I'm glad it wasn't me or my microwave LOL. Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes, Stephenson will drive you bonkers for sure lol. It's a good base, but it just thickens up so much quicker than crafters choice and sfic. But once you find that sweet spot with the temp then you'll be swirling like crazy 🤪
I really appreciate your teaching techniques and your willingness to share your wisdom with us newbies. I am completely lost on what to do and how to accomplish swirling. I made an attempt to do swirling before I found your video and completely messed up my batch. There was no separation between my colors. I attempted to make maroon and white soap. It ended up being pink in color, but it smells amazing. So hopefully next go round thanks to your video, I will have success. Thank you.
Thanks for your kind remarks. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's definitely trial and error. You just have to practice and practice....play around with your temps as each base is different. You will get it, I know you will ❤️
