Sabaton has so many wonderful stories about heroism and bravery, some of them unknown but I also think it depends where you lives.
You should really consider doing Sabaton reactions twice a week cause that rabbit hole are soo deep.

Its the story of the brititsh army colonel T.E Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia"), serving as a military advisor to Bedouin forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire of 1916 to 1918. Interesting story, and great song.
The history episodes are still worth adding in, as the animations just give you a summary. Still excellent on their own, but better paired with the accompanying history as you normally do. Always watch the animated stories before the history episodes though. The Yarnhub animations get better and better with each one too.
Yes i think the same, the history chapter tell the story with more depth, and in this particulary case they have 2 history episodes about this thematic, the first its directly about the song and the other its more about women in WW2
In Russia and in other countries of the former Soviet Union, the remains of soldiers who died in that war are still being found. Twenty to twenty-seven million Soviet people died then, and most of the victims were civilians. For us, this war is the most terrible and the most sacred.
The last sentence that this commissar took it on herself to find the crashside of each of 'her girls' always gets me.
Just to get things right: The animated story video is NOT the same as the Sabaton History video. The animated story video provides the information in a condensed form, while the History video is basically a 15 minute documentary, presented by a host, which provides much more in depth information and is supported with actual historical footage. So they are definitely not the same, but completely different. In the history video they usually also talk about the song itself for a few minutes, about the process how it was made etc. which is also quite interesting. Then there is also the animated music video, which is basically the same as the animated story video except that it only contains the music and not the informative parts. In other words the animated music video is an integral part of the animated story video. I'd say the animated story video and the history episode are complementary and both worth watching. Btw just so you know: there is a history video for each and every Sabaton song, but there are only a few songs which have an animated story video. Please check out the Sabaton History channel.
Wow that was AWSOME and sad at the same time.
A thing that wasn't mentioned in this, is that there were 3 flying squadrons (I think this was the only bomber regiment), and that also makes the sentence "the least skilled women" make more sense.
Why there hasn't been a major movie about this, the one thing that comes to my mind is that, just as you (and me), its not a story that have been told that often in the West, I mean after WW2 and during the Cold War, you didn't wanna praise or glorify the USSR. In Denmark where I come from we were never taught this in School. Other than that I have no Idea why.

Agree with another commenter, watch the Sabaton History as well after the animated story videos. I think there are 2 SH episodes for this song.

The most Movies comes from Hollywood and i really think that the interest of Americans doing a movie that brings forward Sovjets as heroes dont comply. The old enemies of "the cold war" thats my teori anyway

For example "Night witches in the sky" (1981), directed by Evgenya Zhigulenko - one of the "witches".
Sabaton brought so many heroes to life that we didn’t know about it, only I can add is that Canadian woman flew airplanes from Nova Scotia to England delivered the aircraft and back to bring more at the end of the war women flew where in the air more then men did…

There are several Books on the 588th available today in german, originally published in russian. Its unbelieveable what the Women in former USSR did during WWII. Im not sure if these were ever translated into english as well. If you can find one, get it!

the history episodes add more context but are not necessary in animated videos. in the animated video you get the gist of the story and a awesome song
The other story you watch and they said why there is no movie its about the Last Battle when the german army and american army fought together. But i dont really know if there are a movie about not bullet fly, i never watch that history before sabaton song 😀
They really teach you history, i wish they have this histories when i go to school (several years ago 😁)
