In the conditioning mask, there is an ingredient (behentrimonium) similar to silicones in third position (a lot!!!). For information, in France and in organic, quaternary ammoniums are prohibited. Except for some labels that allow some despite all, such as BTMS (Behentrimonium methosulfate, an emulsifier). This substitute for silicones is very present in the conditioners, so it must be avoided for its negative effects (occlusive).

You and your channel are so inspiring & beautiful. I have fine thin hair and am so happy to have found you & your honesty with styling & treating thin hair. I’m so fed up with the bimbos on other RUclips channels always pretending to have thick hair but have extensions 🙄 and all their lies. You are breathtaking
Only natural oils are the best! I have thin hair and was loosing a lot a couple of months ago, since I start to do it “old fashion” like my grandma my hair is looking great again 🥰 Recipe: coconut oil, argan oil, castor oil (excellent for hair loss) avocado oil, rosemary oil. Put then all together in a bottle and apply ones at week on your scalp with massage and in the length, leave it during night, be patient, tight your hair up or in brides always for sleeping and I asure you, you will see and feel the difference.
Thank you Violette, I love Briogeo! I have fine thin hair too and really like the Blossom and Bloom range as it doesn’t weigh my hair down and it’s leaves it feeling thick and shiny and healthy. Great to have the discount code to stock up!
I'll have to look into these products :) Could you please do a video talking about your updated skin care routine and the products you definitely recommend people use if they have oily skin? I have oily skin that has been really dry lately, and I want to invest in products that work.
I don’t find Briogeo to be anything special, and their products, like the mask, do contain a very similar ingredient to silicone. I almost wonder if it’s a marketing tactic. Btw, applying any mask to dry hair is basically a waste of product because it won’t penetrate the hair like it would if the hair were damp. But honestly most products do contain some type of silicone, even professional brands, and it’s ok if you’re not overdoing it with your products from wash to style. The real problem is the cheaper brands that contain filler and waxes that coat the hair to make it appear shiny, but what they’re really doing is causing build up and weighing down the hair.
Natalie Jeanette great points about silicone... but actually you can apply a mask/conditioner to dry hair it all depends on the texture and porosity of your hair. I apply a deep conditioner on my dry hair before I wash and it’s helps to protect my ends from drying out during the washing process and I’ve noticed a HUGE difference in my split ends being reduced. But everyone’s hair is different, so what works for one may not work for someone else 😊😊😊
thagirlb You can absolutely apply product to dry hair, but if you’re applying any type of conditioning treatment (excusing oils) it’s best to apply on damp towel dried hair because it will help the ingredients that are made of smaller molecules in the product soak up into the hair. Even hair that is extremely porous will benefit more from that bit of dampness. I think the type of hair, thickness and texture will best dictate what type of haircare routine would best suit someone. Like the dry method would probably work best on natural, thick, and tightly coiled hair. Also, if the conditioning mask does contain any silicones or ingredients of that type, all it’s doing is coating the hair, which in turn is blocking products from fully penetrating the hair during the washing process. It really comes down to buying the correct products for your hair type and obviously the better the quality would be best.
ingrid I’m happy it works for you! However, while Garnier is probably one of the cleanest brands at the drugstore, it’s still full of fillers. That’s why it has that price tag. I’m actually a hair stylist, and when I see clients that have been using products from the drugstore, I take my scissor on its edge, scrape slightly at a downward angle, and people are blown away by the waxy buildup that comes off, that they had no idea was there. So just keep that in mind when you’re shopping for products, always look at the ingredients, and try to purchase clean products. Ulta always has really great sales on the professional lines they carry if you decide you want to invest in that. Also, because professional lines don’t contain those ingredients, they’re much more potent and you don’t need to use nearly as much product, so you actually end up saving.
You’re the cutest coolest French girl! Love this! I’ve been following your tutorials for my makeup and I love your hair! - I have similar texture but mine is straight (I curl mine the same way though)! Think I’m going to go try this out! Merci Beaucoup Violette 💋❤️
Violette, I too am ALL about scalp care, to exfoliate and then cleanse, etc. I haven't tried the Briogio yet. I use DPHue Hairproducts. They are apple cider vinegar based. Detoxing my scalp has ALL the difference!
J’adooreee ton contenue ! Je trouve que tu fais des video à ton image et totalement différente des autres influenceurs ! Félicitation pour ton bébé! Tu m’inspires beaucoup et tu es life goal ! Et bonne année !
I love these informative videos, Violette! 😍Could you please show us what you do when you get pimples or your skin is a mess? Although it seems that your skin is always super healthy and clear!
A shampoo that will actually exfoliate is something with a salicylic acid or a tee tree oil but no exfoliating brush cause that will damage erupt the scalp and hurt. Chemical exfoliating is better than physical exfoliators.
I've heard of Briogeo but I've never tried it. It's one of the brands recommended for the curly girl method. I'm using the Shea Moisture brand now. I'm originally curly haired, just that my hair is super damaged from years of straightening it. Im trying to get my curls back by using these silicone and sulfate free kind of brands. It's a long process though. I use a hair mask deep conditioner, but I don't do it overnight. I wash my hair first, then add the deep conditioner, then put a cap (a heated cap) on. Heat will make the hair absorb the moisture even better. After 30 minutes I rinse.
I love your natural hair and the investment that you make for your health! Your uploads are one of the highlights of my week! The only thing that i would do different to your hair is cut about 3 or four inches off....but to each her own. Thank you so much for who you are! Bien Merci!
Violette!!!! This was amazing. I bought the shampoo and conditioner and love it! It’s so incredible. What do you do for hair care on the days in between cleaning? Do you use any product on your hair other than the oil?
First, I love your shoes! And also hair oils are miracle workers, they seriously make a difference when it comes to hair care but, like you said, we have to be aware that many products are full of silicones.
I love your videos, I feel like I can relate to so much of your effortless take on makeup, the no-silicone haircare (mine is also thin and wavy, with dry ends) AND your colours - eyecolour and skin colour. I actually first dared to use ANY eye makeup colour other than neutrals/browns because of you! I'm wearing my organic/clean makeup version of your khaki liner look today actually, it always makes me feel good about myself=) Donc merci pour tout l'inspiration et félicitations à toi et ton baby daddy;)) Bisous

I loved this. Thank you. I am going to check out the products. I too don't use silicone products except for hair mousse. I Still haven't found a good silicone and sulfate free mousse. I use natural oils for my scalp too before I wash my hair as my scalp tends to be dry as well as my hair. "Phyto" do amazing leave-in hair cremes as do "Living Proof". So thank you for this hair video. I want to try new hair products so this is just great 😘.... Oh..I hope I got this right, but I think I read that you expecting a bambino. Or bambina 😀. Hi Violette, You and Bella Hadid are my hair role models. Because you both have thin hair and yet you make the best of it and not only that, but it looks gorgeous! I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. The hormone replacement as well as another medicine that I am taking have thinning hair as a side effect. It's very strange how the density of my hair around my scalp is uneven; some areas are ok, but others are almost so thin that my scalp shines through. I found that cutting my hair in a long bob, with the back being shorter than the front, REEEEEALLY helped to create the effect of more volume and health. So I think the basis is to have a good cut, then the beautiful high quality products come next.
I was shocked too. I was always raised to never brush wet hair. Especially with a real hair brush, like violette did. Anyone know if this is okay for fine, thick hair?
Do it in increments. Suddenly going from washing your hair every day to not washing it for 3/4 days will take a LONG time to adjust. Once your hair adjusts to getting washed every 2 days, for example, and is no longer oily, stretch it to 3 days. And so on. I only wash my hair once a week, every Sunday, but during summer I wash my hair every 5 days (since it's hotter and sweatier weather lmao), but every September-ish I can just go straight back to every 7 days, because my hair's used to going long periods without washing (over a decade, at least), and when I do, I just use dry shampoo if I have to. Although, don't use dry shampoo if you can avoid it (e.g., if the oily hair day lands on a weekend lazy day, for example), since dry shampoo does soak up the oil and extends the adjusting period.
This is the GRWM that i wish i saw more often on RUclips. Very calm, easy going and practical👏💗
Violette, could we get an updated skincare video please! Loved this though :)

Oh wow where are those shoes from at the beginning of the video?
How did you transition from washing your hair day to day to twice a week? Did you just tolerate the oily period or use dry shampoo?
