As our Dad always said "better safe than sorry". Cold and stormy here in Ontario Canada too. Love seeing your bison in the snow, they just go good together lol stay warm and stay safe down there.
Love to see the snow on the bison fur.....so well insulated that their body heat does not melt the snow. Built for the weather of the plains.

Smart birds finding a safe roost for the night. It's bitter cold here in MO- not much snow, just blowing stuff. Next 3 days are going to be brutal, then up to 20 on Tues-- Yikes a heat wave (ha) Moved here 30 years ago and in Feb. the first 2 years the daffodils bloomed. It's never happened since. Hope the Bison are okay. Been a rather fast change in temps for them. You all stay warm and safe.

We're expecting an ice storm over the next 24 hrs too, here in the WillametteValleyofOregon. A 1/2 of ice coating everything can make for power outages. We need to keep everybody going through these storms in our prayers.
Snow is a dirty 4-letter word; beautiful while falling but terrible to get around in! Remember the days of trudging to the barn to milk ole Pet, our Jersey milk cow! So glad you don't have to milk your big, beautiful bison (bet they would kick you to middle of next week)!

Crazy weather!!!
We had 12 inches of snow on Sunday, then a wicked high wind and rain storm Wednesday night that melted the snow and flooded the coastal towns from the ocean storm wave surges here in Maine.
Another massive rain storm this weekend followed by 20 below zero on Monday 🥶

Stay safe everybody! We may not get a lot of snow in Oregon's Willamette valley, but when we get ice, it's usually along with east winds sucking cold air out of Canada and the plains through the Columbia gorge. It's nasty! Anyhow, empathise on the ice. Looks like just about every place in the US is getting hit with something!

I drove a truck for 37 years and the only time I ever shut down because of icy roads was on I 35 in sulphur Oklahoma

I am in Barnsdall Oklahoma and I know what you're talking about and it is windy as heck right now and cold I am up an hour from Tulsa on the west side of Tulsa and I don't like the ice and I don't like the snow but I'm used to it because I am originally from Illinois

In Pennsylvania we are more prone in the northeast part of the state to ice ….we don’t get snow like we use to.
We are an hour north of Philadelphia….we had snow last Saturday 3 inches gone by Wednesday after sun was out .

When you see a cow or horse or bison with a thick coating of snow, it means their fur is a good insulator.
