When my son first brought his, now wife, home to meet us, for the first time, with her 4 year old daughter, it was love at first sight for all of us. That little angel has now graduated college, and I thank God that his plan brought both of them into our lives. I feel your story, in the heart. Thank you! This video is not about me and my Mom's life, but the story is very close to our life. This video had me crying. Mom and I should tell our story on video. She has been asking me to do it for years. When my first born, a boy was born, I could not stop looking at him and my heart was taken by this little person....it was love....
I had a child at 16 , unmarried , and was blessed to find a man who loved me and my son unconditionally. Weston looks like a blend of you and Daniel. My son looks like my husband. God knew what He was doing.

Ppl swear I am the birth mom to 1 of my kids lol. We gave up yrs ago, really doesn't matter to us either way. I helped raise her since before age 2 and she has now given me 3 healthy happy grand's!

Thank you for sharing. I too got pregnant in college, twice. I raised my two alone. It is not easy. I admire you for being a single mom for some years and now telling your story. I’m sure it will help younger single parents. Well done D J. Now I have 8 grandchildren. My kids turned out great and I was not a perfect mom either.

Having young parents is a blessing when Weston is in his older years and you and Daniel are still alive. I thank god at my age of 62 that my mom is still here.
I was you in 1986. Same situation. There is no love that compares to the love a mother has for her son(s!. I have been blessed with 2. Our youngest will be entering the Police Academy in the fall. This is the second time in a month I've found myself wiping away tears at one of your videos. The other being the buy dirt video. You guys did not need to explain anything to anyone. But I am very thankful you share your life with us as it has helped me through some dark times and reminded me to be thankful for the things I've been blessed with.
I know the feeling I was 16 when I had my first it was hard and I loved every minute of it as a single momma! I'm now 49 have a 33 29 and 28 year old sons and a 17 year old daughter but definitely never pictured myself being a single momma to all of them but I have been and wouldn't change it for the world! I'm so inspired by you two so glad you found each other at the right time in your lives! Keep being you and the amazing family that you are!! 🥰
You should never have to explain your life to anyone but thank you for an insight into how your wonderful family begun. Daniel has and always been a dad to Weston because he may not be his biological parent doesn't make him any less a dad. My son married a young woman who had a son 10 years ago. At the time they got married the boy was 4 years old. Together they had another son. So now I have two grandsons, one 14 years old and one almost 10 years old. I love both of them very much and am so proud of my son and his ability and choice to be willing to see beyond the fact that my now lovely daughter-in-law already had a child. As you said God had a plan.

OMG, I had to take three crying breaks to get through this. The most touchingly honest podcast of what it means to be a mother. I remember talking with my son one day when he ask me what was one thing in life that I have no regrets about, I replied " That's an easy one, you son ". Much respect to you for sharing your journey on the important things in life.

I’m sure Weston has heard your story before and realizes what a huge blessing he is in your life. I teared up when you said he was the first person you ever loved, because I don’t think there is a greater love than for our own child. You did a wonderful job raising him and I agree with your song choice, Daniel is a very special person because so many men don’t step up and he seems like it came naturally.

My daughter had twins out wedlock.Our church reached out to her in so many aspects,no one ever judged her.She is now married to twins Dad ,they were almost 3 when they got married. They are 14.They are still married and have daughter age 10.God is so good !

I was very much in your situation. 21, pregnant, and he wasn't there. I was terrified, and was afraid I would be outcast. I now have a beautiful 23 year old daughter, and did get back with her dad and have 2 more beautiful babies. God always has a plan. And I was accepted at my church and my family. You have a great family..i have 3 sons i raised on my own, their dad was there for them but he passed away when my boys were very young., they are the greatest men in my life. My oldest was very quiet like Weston and he did not talk much until he had kids of his own so Weston may come around and even have his own channel one day. Great to see Weston! ..Weston, it all boils down to ~You are very special ~. ~ You are surely loved~. ..~ You are blessed~. Two wonderful, God-loving parents, who have supported you all your life. Most accidents I know are blessings beyond comprehension! My story is similar...but we tried nine years for a child, adopted 2 over 4 year time. We had our family..a girl then a boy. Then both of us at age 34, were so surprised when the doctor informed me I was pregnant.... we added to our precious gifts, a baby girl. What a blessing God gave us, three beautiful children. Now as a widow in my senior years this event is still blessing me as they now take care if me. God had a plan and His plans are always the very best! God has a plan for Weston too.

Yep, along w rattling off their full given name when they do something wrong or scarey lol. My only problem, which isn't really, is remembering that my oldest ,who is trans and only changed her name 2 yrs ago, hates her dead name. But she has been my oldest brat for almost 42 yrs now, so I just tell her she is a spoiled princess when she upsets me lol.
You put the most important parts of my life into words. Remembering makes me cry too. Living my faith made it beautiful. Thank you.

Your story is so simular to mine minus I didn't get married. I have a beautiful daughter now 37 and two amazing grandchildren. 1 boy 1 girl and it was worth every ounce of hardship. My daughter is the most beautiful woman and mother I know and that is proof enough that I did a great job as a single mother.
