    Thanks for the detailed instructions! It took us 3.5 hours as complete novices, but with time and patience it worked out well.

    Great vid, BUT note that the connector to the oem camera does not have the be removed, only the other end has to be removed. Spent over an hr removing the harness only to find out the AJ harness does not require the oem harness that’s removed.

      Thank you for the extra info! That is true however we advise removing it so it is not just dangling in the hatch. Neither way is right or wrong to your point.

    • @vagabondzen
      @vagabondzen Месяц назад

      Agreed... it was a pain to try to remove it, so I said forget it... it can live in the dangle and if we ever need to re-use the oem camera we can just switch connectors.

    Is there an updated version of this or is the original still good to go? Thanks in advance

    I have a 2013 SR5 that had the basic non touch radio, it has no back up camera at all. Does Toyota still run the factory wires and plugs but only install the camera assembly on whatever models?
    I installed a gracenote OEM touch screen from another model with needed adapters but now need to install a camera.

    Is there any way to convert the wiring so that I can run it as a second rear cam? I have the Sony xav-9500 which allows me to run a rear cam and 2 additional cams. I have my front cam for extra cam 1 but my guys at the shop replaced my ream cam with your high mount. I want to use my stock rear cam for reverse and your high mount cam for extra cam 2.

    Any tips on getting the wire fished along the side of the hatch? I can’t seem to get a fish tape alongside there to pull the wire down

    Make sure you get a good connection with the T Tap on the green positive cable. I had to go back and strip the wire after putting everything back!

    • @project_poor_runner
      @project_poor_runner Год назад

      I had the same problem, the T-tap didn’t penetrate enough. Had to go back and strip it just enough to make contact.

    Do you have a troubleshooting guide somewhere? I installed mine following this video step by step, but after installing all of my cameras stopped working. I checked 5 times every step and every wire. When I switch back to the original camera everything goes back to working, but as soon as I switch the wiring to the new camera I get no visual.

      Hello. You stated “all your cameras”, do you have the panoramic or 360 cameras?

      @@aidenjamescustoms Yes, I do. It's the 2022 TRD Pro 4Runner. I got your kit from Dirtcom with my trail swing as a package. Are you telling me they sent me a wrong product and it's not compatible with my system?

    • @aidenjamescustoms
      @aidenjamescustoms  Год назад

      @@gmkhach1100 the panoramic 360 requires the canbus system to talk to the camera and we are working to create the kit that works with the canbus. Currently, it does not so yes, you don’t have a compatible kit. Let Dirtcom know if this message and we will round back with them as well.

      Is this while putting it down? If so, you did not run the harness around the outer “tracks”. Give us a call and we can walk you through checking it. 714-852-3859

    Anyone know why my camera works fine and then switches the image upside down. It keeps flipping the image every week or so.

    • @aidenjamescustoms
      @aidenjamescustoms  Год назад

      Hello. Check to make sure the white loop isn't sporadically making contact and closing the loop causing the image to flip.

    • @JR-rn9ih
      @JR-rn9ih Год назад

      I have the white loop intact and the green loop cut, per the instructions this should have removed the gridlines in the rear camera, but they are still present in the image. I have notice when I move the green wire (cut) and the white wire (intact) the image flips from right side up to upside down. This was a recent purchase for the 5th gen 4 runner if that helps. Thanks and any advise is appreciated.@@aidenjamescustoms
