This is one of the few games that I gave up playing as a kid. I really tried hard to beat it but I would get stuck and die and I'd have to restart from the beginning. It got to the point where I thought to myself, "Normally when this happens, I at least have fun playing the parts that I already know how to beat. But I don't have fun replaying this game for some reason." So I gave up. And now as an adult, I'm watching someone beat it so damn easily it's making me question my cognitive abilities
I could never get past this Carnival level either. This game seemed sooo difficult Back then Ah, memories of me as a kid playing my big bros Genesis. Nostalgia. Bliss.
It's funny. There's a glitch on the second deconstruction zone level where, if a certain rotating platform kills you on its' way down, it passes you through to the next level. As a kid that was the ONLY WAY I knew how to beat that level. I couldn't figure out how to kill the boss so I just figured he was unkillable and the glitch way was the only way to beat the level.
I never knew about that until I checked it out now. I still remember the first time I played it, the rail level in the circus felt impossible because I didn’t know how to - or even that you could - swing from web to web, so I had to time my jumps over the carts on the on the bottom track, took forever to get through it that way.
@@chrisgibson1992 The details are a little shaky, because I haven't played this game since I was maybe 7 or 8 years old. If you stand on one of the rotating platforms, or stand near it as it's rotating, it hurts you. If you time it so it kills you, but also doesn't knock you OFF the platform (Spidermans corpse should land on the platform, and should be descending along with it), for some reason it passes you to the next level. As I recall it only works with one of the towers. One of the more central ones, but I can't remember exactly which one, or if there's something I'm missing. I think there was another video somewhere on YT of someone beating this level a similar way (where they die to pass through quicker), but it looked slightly different than what I was doing.
7:33 - 7:44,look at Scorpion. Notice how his tail wags during the tempo of the music. I hate this level's music but something about webbing his tail and him slamming his tail back and forth makes this all the more enjoyable and hilarious. Lol

Same here. I beat it on my first try, but tried beating the game again and got sent straight to the bonus stage. Lol I was 15 at the time and I remembered thinking now who the fuck is going to figure this out?
