Hi @franklyn-valokeke269! We understand that managing time during the test can be challenging. The time limits are designed to assess your ability to think and respond quickly. Practicing under timed conditions can help improve your performance.
I feel all sections of IELTS Academic like listening, speaking and writing are fair and equal. But reading i feel unfair because time. IELTS should think about this and increase the time for reading section by 5 Minutes extra. Like 65 minutes in total for reading section
Hi @muralikrishnayerubandi8451, thanks for sharing your thoughts! We understand your concern, and we encourage you to practice time management strategies to get the most out of the 60 minutes. Good luck!

Hi i hav taken academic ielts got L-7,R-6.5,W-5.5,S-7. Can i retake the test again n club only writting -6.5 reading -7 how clubbing is done? My desired band is 7 overall
Hi @pradeepajambukeshwaran1770! To achieve your desired overall band score, you will need to retake the entire IELTS test as scores from different test dates cannot be combined. However, we have introduced IELTS One Skill Retake to give test takers the opportunity to retake a specific part of the test - Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking. This gives you another shot to achieve the band score you're aiming for.
We understand your concern, @Aandaza. The reading module can indeed be challenging. Practicing regularly can definitely help in managing time better and improving your skills.

Hello sir, I am preparing for IELTS exam. But right now I'm pretty nervous about my speaking section because I'm a stammer. In this situation What should I do? Can you help me !
Hi @auntusarker! We’d recommend reaching out to your test centre as soon as possible to let them know of any special requirements, including if you have a stammer. Examiners can provide you with some additional time for each part of the Speaking test. The two aspects that will be influenced by a stammer are your Fluency & Coherence and Pronunciation scores. For Fluency & Coherence, how much your score is affected depends on how much you pause between your words. Your Pronunciation score is affected as you would most likely have trouble with your rhythm and intonation. These will both be considered if you apply for special consideration regarding the stammer.
Really appreciate Ms. Andy for your helpful information 🙏
Thank you so much, @sunielm2695! We're glad you found the information helpful.
Ielts should increase the time 90 seconds is too small for a question problem solving skill
