- During an interview with famous psychiatrist Dr. Dorothy Lewis, Letecia Stauch brought out of one her many personalities, Maria, who she said was the person that killed Gannon. Lewis is known for working with serial killers in the past, like Ted Bundy, to get an understanding of their brains. Stauch is currently on trial for the murder of her 11-year-old stepson, Gannon. She's accused of killing him in Colorado then dumping his body in Florida.

It's a pretty sad day when a person is so much of a narcissist that after they have blamed everyone else, and failed miserably, that they have to resort to conjuring up a second, third, and fourth personality just so they have someone new to blame, because all a narc knows is that they DID NOT do it. Dr. Lewis is far too eager to shoehorn murderers into her favourite diagnosis of DID and to dismiss the much more likely possibilities like secondary gain through an insanity defense and the frequently manipulative and lying nature of people with severe antisocial personality traits. She also seems unaware of high comorbidities of unstable personality structure in criminals, leading to histrionic and borderline traits which can be mistaken for supposed DID. It is a leap for her to say that DID is linked to most serial killers and murderers. If anything, their high frequency of antisocial personality traits posits they would be more likely to feign such personalities, either for actual gain, or just for its own sake and she fails to consider the very strong likelihood that Letitia Staunch was deliberately faking having alters.
If the Hillside strangler that claimed "Steve" did the killing did not get insanity, she won't either, he was a better actor even.
I'm beginning to suspect the expert doctor may have DID.

It was an utter disgrace that the Dr could not be impartial & so very unprofessional in her behaviour. I was stunned beyond words at how she was also so Disrespectful to the Judge & courts. Not to mention, Having not Just the Defence Lawyer in the room while she was evaluating her, But also her Son. I found her lies as well deplorable. this dr is so passionate about this disorder. that’s why she was hired and that’s why she accepts lies as the disorder. she talks to her like letecia is a child and the dr is just fascinated by her. if jurors didn’t fall for amber heard, i dont think they’ll fall for this.
I think this is an insightful comment. DID is so incredibly rare, but this doctor WANTS it so badly when BPD and NPD fit so much better. Leticia is a pathological liar and manipulator who cannot/will not control her anger. None of this points to DID. She has no loss of time. People have not noticed her acting like a whole different person anytime in her life. It's horrifying that she killed her stepson and no one stopped it, but she knew what she was doing the entire time. And yes, there are more people like her in our society than we would like to acknowledge.

I fully agree. I also think her age has something to do with her naivety. I bet she was much sharper in her younger years, and no where near as naive as she is now.
She seems like a nice lady, and I felt bad for her, honestly. She just has no business testifying anymore. I imagine she will think twice *if* she is asked to again in the future.
Especially because she keeps saying nothing else makes sense. Why would she murder a stepson she loved? Well because she never loved him and this is what happens with these types of people. It never makes sense to kill a child. That doesn't mean all killers of children have DID.

Sounds like DID is the doctors life’s work so she needs it to continue to be relevant. Even if Leticia really did have DID someone killed Gannon, so as far as I’m concerned she can scream to the rafters that her name is Maria or whoever and I’m happy to go along with her, so long as she is punished appropriately and never released from jail.
Is there any way to get the jurors questions to the psychiatrist plus answers that gave her the DID diagnosis at the end of today? The judge forgot to turn on the mics.😊

That "expert" was a joke. I hope the jury was listening how she said "L wanted to hide the body because she KNEW people would think what she had done was WRONG". Meaning L was ABLE to distinguish between the right and the wrong! Lots of statements like this. She ruined her 60-year career in a few hours and put shame on the profession of a psychiatrist.

Leticia claims she doesn’t have access to Maria’s thoughts or memories, but recounts what she was thinking when she shot Gannon. Her DID defense is bs.
Insanity in the State of Colorado is not knowing what you did was wrong. I would say LSs texes, phone calls, google searches say she knew and did everything to hide what she did.
Notice how she’s willing to protect elderly people but not children? Why haven’t any of her personalities manifested in court? Multiple personalities don’t exist by the way.

I believe a lot fake it for attention or to act like they're crazy.

A woman I've know since we were 10 (we're in our 50's now) has this and she was only recently told that she has it. You can see and hear a shift in her during conversations when she's stressed out. None of them have names! She's not violent, hasn't killed anyone, but years ago in our youth, her brain cracked and she became protective of herself. She's always been able to maintain (she steals things....that's her worst crime). Talking with her is a trip. We'll be talking about one subject and then she'll change it to something else, and then when I want to go back to the original story, she doesn't remember it or even saying it. It causes friction with everyone.

I watched the doc on HBO, the courts back in 1980 told her to answer yes or no 😂 she hasnt changed
You could sell this Dr oceanfront property in Arizona. Or collude with her career money making scheme as an actor for the purpose of trial, book deals & HBO specials. DRs who just take the patients word for what's going on should lose their licenses and be charged with fraud.
Letecia had - what? - TWO YEARS to plot out these acts? Maybe only a year. I don't know when her first attorneys bailed out - I know they brought the news that the body was found. But how much longer did they 'last'? I wish we had a time-line of her attorneys' associations, and when these characters first 'appeared'. I think they are all relatively 'new' even those these 2022 interviews.
