Biggest problem with this mower is the blade the combo blade that side cuts collects and mulchs are fine for the yanks for us here to mulch you need a mulch blade to collect it has to be a high lift
@@TKG im next door here in ireland mate them blades dont work for us here the bog the engine in heavy damp grass if your collecting with that mower put a hi lift on it the rear opening in that mower is fine its just the grass is been held in the deck to long
Absolutely spot on. They've ruined their main benefit, i.e great collection, by fitting a ridiculous multi purpose blade. For years we've praised Stihl mowers to anyone who would listen but these latest ones are rubbish.
Long time user of Sithl mowers (Viking before that) and a big fan of them. Until now. These latest ones are trying to be a jack of all trades and they just don't work. The main reason to have a Stihl mower has always been the fantastic collection even in very wet conditions but they've now lost that ability by trying to do everything. These latest mowers are poor. We won't be getting another one and I'm sure we won't be the only ones who feel that way.
yes, for a domestic mower they have been fantastic in the past, we bought this one because cutting long wet grass is doable with the old 448 as long as you take the box off and lift the flap, I assumes (wrong) that a side discharge would do the same. I think the emissions and low noise may play a factor in the new engines. not sure.
I have no idea, the only way I am going to know is to return it to where it came from, which is a 3 hr drive, if I take it to my local supplier, they may charge for checking it out if there is nothing wrong,
I use adobe to endhance the audio to try and clean it up. I guess it thought I said something then, I will hopefully have my local supplier look at it, under warenty
Goodness your voice is very quiet so I am at full volume, until the pipes come on.. Do you have ideas about why it gives you troubles? Are the wheels slipping or the drive belt? Are you cutting very low and the chassis is touching the soil? I hear the govenor kicking like it is strughling to cut.
sorry about the audio, without a dedicated mic its hard to get right. not sure why the mower is struggling, I have had a few times where it just wont start. its not slipping, just lacks power, I have never had this with my old 448 which is slightly less power, not cutting low,
EVC 300 engine 2.6 kW/3.5 hp supposedly more powerful than the 448? when I get chance I will go to my local supplier and hope they will take a look I got the mower from sam turner, really don't want to travel 3 hrs to have them take a look.
I nearly bought the battery version but when they kept putting the date back and lying to me over email I decided I’d avoid this company altogether from now on. I’ll buy from rivals and happily do so.
@@Karl-p6h I thought that, the 448 we have used for years, in fact it was my first mowe, domestic yeah, but good enough for smaller lawns, if I want a battery version I now have to get yet more batteries and charger
unfortanatley these mowers are all underpowered wether it be a honda sthil sthil hayter all set to a factory standard you need to take it to a mechanic get it tuned up like a remap for a car there is hp in that engine but just need to tune it up to its full capability and power but as for drive dont know havent owned a sthil mower
Hello, I'm thinking about buying this product, but now I'm very unsure, so far I've only heard good things about it, is it really weak? really isn't it?
I could have a bad machine, I use it daily and for most its fine, just unlike my old 448t it lack the power when going up a hill, but as I say it could be my machine
We’ve been very pleased with the Etesia pro 46
Expensive, but you get what you pay for, they have very good reviews

I always try to improve myself and my work, always moving forward

I think your right, it does tend to drop the grass, and over the pond their grass is much courser (as far as I know)

Looks like your going too fast for long grass 😂
nahh the thing just struggles up any slight incline no matter how long the grass

Was that a big burp at 5.58 ? 🤔😁 that engine could do with turning up a bit. I have a Loncin 139cc on Masport that needs speeding up a bit.

how do you speed up lawn mowers?
