    Thanks for the video!
Please make one more video about the topic of using filters. 🙏🏼
I'm super confused about which filters I should use when making espresso and which ones when making regular coffee.
In addition, I would like tips and tricks on how to use the machine in such a way that I want to make regular coffee and espresso alternately? Should I always reprogram the double dose water quantity and after that reset all settings back?
Also, what grinding levels are the best for regular coffee and the espresso for latte?
I would be super thankful if you will teach me in this field.

I love my new machine I’ve only had it a couple of days ….Yes- these are great questions. I’m confused by the filters, so I just use the non pressurised one. My partner likes a long black & I like a cappuccino, so I think there’s no way to store the two settings. Every time I make our coffee’s I press for 3 seconds so am reprogramming the machine every time. I don’t know if there’s some other way, or if what I’m doing is correct.

      Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.
Here are some tips for the filters that come with the EGF03.
      1. Single Shot Filter: This filter is used for making a single espresso shot. It typically holds about 7-9 grams of coffee. Use this filter when you want a smaller, single-serving espresso.
      2. Double Shot Filter: This filter is for making a double espresso shot. It holds around 14-18 grams of coffee. Use this filter for a standard espresso shot or when you want a stronger coffee.
      3. Pressurized Filter: Some models come with a pressurized filter designed for less experienced users or for pre-ground coffee. It helps create more crema and can be used with a wider range of grind sizes. Use this filter when you need a bit more help with crema and consistency.
      4. Non-Pressurized Filter: This filter is for those who grind their own coffee and prefer a more traditional espresso experience. It requires a finer, more consistent grind and proper tamping to achieve the best results. Use this filter for a more authentic espresso shot.
For lattes we recommend using a fine grind, almost like table salt. Espresso requires a finer grind to ensure a good extraction under the high pressure of the machine. For lattes, you'll want a grind that helps create a rich, concentrated shot of espresso that pairs well with steamed milk.

Once it saves the memory setting for Americano how do you switch it back? Thanks for the vid!

      Hello,
      Thank you for your comment!
Once you've saved the memory setting for an Americano on the Smeg EGF03, switching it back to the default setting is pretty simple. All you need to do is reset the machine to its factory settings. You can do this by holding down the desired drink button for several seconds until the machine beeps or flashes, indicating it has been reset.
Alternatively, you can manually adjust the amount of water or coffee for the Americano setting again to your preference.
      Glad you enjoyed the video!

      HI John,
Yes, the amount of coffee ground and dispensed can be customised for every function.
Section 4.7, page 10 of the manual advises how to do this.
Please see a link to the manual below

How to make a hot chocolate? :)

    • @SmegUKOfficial
      @SmegUKOfficial  13 дней назад

      Hello,
To make hot chocolate with the Smeg EGF03, follow these steps:
Prepare the Milk: Heat milk on the stove or in the microwave until hot, but not boiling.
Add Cocoa or Chocolate: Mix cocoa powder or chopped chocolate into the hot milk. Stir until fully dissolved.
Froth the Milk: If you have a milk frother or steam wand, use it to froth the milk mixture for a creamy texture.
Use the Machine: Pour the hot chocolate mixture into a cup. You can use the machine's hot water function if you need additional hot water to adjust the temperature or consistency.
Serve: Optionally, top with whipped cream or marshmallows for a finishing touch!
      Enjoy your hot chocolate!
