I agree 100%; the e-brake has helped me quite a few times in the past. Seriously, when you push an FF to the limit... not being able to make your rear end swing can be a problem !

メガーヌR.S.トロフィーR との比較を望まれている方が居ますが、標準車同士の比較なので今回の動画でイコールコンディションだと思います。
トロフィーRは2名乗車にしてまで軽量化してオーリンズの車高調まで入れており、シビックに同じことしたらここからさらに速くなりますよ。
発売されたままの状態でニュルブルクリンクのタイムアタックに参戦しているという点で揃えるならばメガーヌもトロフィーRでないといけないように感じました。
273ファイナルエディションは発売されたままの状態でタイムアタックを行っていないので、その点において比較するならばトロフィーRのほうにすべきだと感じました。(以前のシビックvsメガーヌではトロフィーRでしたし)
あなたの仰る標準車の定義がわかりませんが、
シビックタイプRはニュルブルクリンクタイムアタック用に設計開発され、ハッチバックやセダンに下ろしています。273ファイナルエディションより軽量です。それに対してトロフィーRはR.S.をベースに後追いで発売されているので、2シーターやオーリンズを持ち出すのは論点が違うと思いました。そのへんのコンセプトはホンダの意向ですので。
あと細かいかもしれませんが、オーリンズはフロントのみ、車高調ではなくダンパーです。
新型シビックRとメガーヌRSトロフィーRのバトルを見たかったです。

@@lolol4129 Trophy R cost 52.9k vs TypeR 54.9k... The carbon wheel pack increases to 63k... and the Nurbur specification with carbon ceramic brakes, straight feed dynamic intake and 390mm discs... yeah that cost 72k... a endurance hot hatch...

I own a 2020 civic si as well as a 1998 civic hatch (ek4 replica) and i miss the hand brake so much the button is stupid in my opinion
Everyone hates that button handbrake. But the car sells to rich people and for them that looks cooler. They dont care about car people anymore just profits

Finally we got the english subtitle, the new type r is absolutely amazing car, too shame that most of the hot hatches now are all wheel drive and not front wheel drive any more
Why is allwheel drive a bad thing?
Because they're heavy and need evermore power, and the front wheels can't convert the energy to forward motion effectively. The FK8 is the first civic since the EK9 that I like haha. I would have to Strip the crap out it, and k24 NA swap it. As torque is the enemy of front wheel drive, Therefore turbos are a bad move...
@zOOrich_ ... because it's the step before rear wheel drive, without any of the dynamic driving experience. That's leaving out the extra weight, and more importantly responsive because the rolling weight- resistance. Also the manipulation like lifting the engine to fit the front driveline slightly higher center of gravity, and plus the fwd limited steering lock lol
@@markay_ Yes weight a lot more and the mainteinance is more expensive. Very important if you make lots of track days.
Their comments on both cars are dead on. I actually own the FK8 and previously owned the Megane 275 Trophy. I would like to see a comparison of the new Megane Trophy R to the Limited Edition Type R with Cup 2 tires. Mine is running on Cup 2 and the grip is tremendous, much better suits it.
True, and this is the old platform... the RS4 is faster than this Civic in many other channels... Your 275 is a beast keep it for colector.
Great episode. Civic Type R all the way! As an owner of a FK8 Civic Type R I agree 100% with the comment about the manual hand brake. The Type R should have come with a manual hand brake and not a push button electric one. Other than that I LOVE the way the car looks, and I love the way the car drives. At first I was not a big fan of how quiet the exhaust is, but I have grown to appreciate it especially living in a neighborhood with other people. I do LOVE the engine sounds coming from under the hood. It is a sweet sounding engine despite the quiet exhaust note and there is no droning to give me a headache in highway driving.
i think they gave it an electric one because they wanted to cut some cost and assumed most of their 10th gens would be cvt/auto anyways so no point of giving a manual handbrake which sucks
@@ShaiyanHossain manual is better and so is a manual handbrake. I mean you can still add a manual handbrake and bypass he government rules by putting another calliper on the back.

As for the torque steer, this is the problem with the modern car becoming heavier, these are not really hot hatches because there the size and weight of performance cars, without the substance. Torque is the enemy of front wheel drive, which is why Hondas always dominated because they were naturally aspirated- along with VTEC- and the more linear- progressive power band converted the energy into forward motion more affectively. But Honda has gone in the same direction as Europe, where everything is a distraction to performance potential.

The megane trophy like dk said it has no rear seat, the rs has rear seat, thats why they compare it with the type r, if the type r doesnt use the rear seat it would be faster than the trophy r

This Megane RS is what they should have compared the old FK2 to - you can't compare a completely stripped out, track spec Megane to a normal Civic hot hatch. Thanks for the subs as well, nice to actually know what they're saying :)
