I love how the shooting style is still similar to the japanese car videos from 2000s and 90s. Always feel at home because of that.

コンフォートが一番いいという土屋さんの意見で、以前ガンさんがコンフォート性に重きおいてインプレしていた事を思い出しました。どれだけスパルタンにパワフルになっても安定してタイヤを路面に接地させることがやはり大事なんですね。

他の方も指摘されてますが、跳ねる跳ねないは走り方の違いも大きいんじゃないかと思います。映像で見ても実際ぴょこぴょこ跳ねてますから。
極端な言い方をすれば、ある程度勢いを持って飛び込んでダーンとブレーキングして向きを変える土屋さんと、手前でブレーキングを終わらせて立ち上がり重視の谷口さんの違いというところでしょうか。タイムを競う企画では無いので走り方が合う合わないが大きく出るのだと思います。
何人かのレーシングドライバーの隣に同乗走行させて頂いたことがありますが、ドライバー同士コンマ何秒の違いでしかないのに走り方は大きく違っていて驚かされたことがあります。その中でも一番印象的だったのはドリキンさんですね。上記のように激しい。FRが好きというのも頷けます。
あと、いつも「固い」「跳ねる」と言われていたJ'sの車高調が好感触だったのが意外。バネレートだけ見ればF16kgf/mm、R18kgf/mmと相当固そうなのに。
マジで最高すぎな車だなぁ

Civic Type R has been on my list of potential 2nd car i ever own. Watching this video helped me to get a good look at how it handles. another great video.
Can tell Honda set the suspension up for cup 2 or better tires knowing people will track the car hard. Ps4s can’t handle it.

最近の車は電子制御と喧嘩しないように車に合わせた乗り方しないとタイム出ないというのが、見てると良くわかりますね…
電子制御もなんですけど、積極的過ぎる（ブレーキングとアクセルで向きを変えようとするのは）現代のタイヤと車作り的にには合わなくなってきてますから、そこも大きいですね〜

Best looking honda in a long time. They have a nice presence irl, and the interior is wonderful as well. I have a new integra but I definitely want one of these haha. Too bad they're so hard to get outside of Japan
And I still remember the day everyone booing it for looking dull compared to FK8.

@@ShaiyanHossain For me I'd like a balance. I agree that this one is too bland, but the previous one was overdoing it by a lot. But at least I'd say the design is going in the right direction. Hopefully it improves again for next year.

ゆっくり丁寧な操作の方が速いんですよ。
雑な操作は見せかけだけのスポーティですから。
ドリドリが跳ねるって感じるのは、もしかしたら谷口さんとのお尻のお肉の付き具合の差が影響してるかも？
なんたって御年67歳ですし、70歳近くになればお尻のお肉も徐々に減ってくるはず。
あとドリドリのライン取りが縁石を目一杯使ってるので、縁石降りた後も細かい振動が残って余計に跳ねて感じるのかもしれないですね。

Honda must be spewing they went to all that effort on electronic suspension just for Dorikin to prefer Comfort Mode
DK is always harsh on cars suspension lol, he called the new 2.0 Mx5 dangerous.
But in reality Honda engineers stated that they want +R to be crazy mode. It’s a lot of fun in +R lol.

ドライビングスタイルの個性からくる相性も多少ありそう、元々ドリフト走りからの限界走行に昇華したスタイルだから荒っぽい野性的な感じだし、
サイドが欲しいって何度も言うのもその辺が影響してそう。

毎回fl5の企画で、今までのタイプRと違う！って言ってる人多いけど、続くだけ良いと思うけどね…

Sad to realise that we are living through last days of the gasoline cars. EVs and autopilots are taking over the industry. At this point I just want to go back to the 90s and drive a brand new r32 down the hill with the boys 😢
I don't own a car yet but I definitely don't want my first car to be an EV/autopilot one. Those are soul-less and not what I like or would want. But the prices of the 90s Japanese cars that I like are insane or way over the top o, and then there's the GR Yaris which isn't available in the U.S. 😒🤦♂

honda focus their powerband in mid. when they tune it on mid powerband, it give a lower torque as well. honda know nissan always focus their powerband on mid - having power band toward mid give you better track time as well as divisibility. mid power give you excellent out of corner acceleration and youre always on the peak powerband at all times. having tune for higher end powerband usually your never on peak power since your mostly at lower rpm. although, i like higher powerband since your car is always screaming.
Pretty much everyone tunes for mid ramge torque now with direct injection turbo engines

Good potential for "light-tune!" Modified FK8 is still faster at the moment, but I wonder if FL5 will catch it with 295 tires.

I remember years ago in Top Gear they've achieved fastest lap time in Golf GTi (or was it Golf-R) also in Comfort mode

I really like the new Civic Type R, the interior and exterior look cleaner compared to previous generations. It just seems like the car is a bit too large. Also, thanks for the subtitles!
Spiritually I consider it more like an Accord Type-R due to its size. But it's still a great car!
Safety regulations are very strict these days so there's nothing you can do about that. But as you may have seen in many reviews, it's still one of the best performance cars you can get out there.

Modern cars are way to stiff. The fact they made a stock civic that was to stiff for a race track just takes that point home.
