@@csdrywallhawaii good morning I am in the market for a drywall sander and was wondering what do you think about the Flex Giraffe. Also my criteria is I want the best with a light if possible without a crazy price. Lol
That open sanding pad is available my man! I just ordered mine from Circle C Country Supply. I believe it's DWE7802. Like your videos as always. I went with the Dewalt 8 gallon wired dust extractor to avoid buying flexvolt batteries for the one you have there. I like it though! Seems to perform great for a cordless
Thanks to your review bro I just got my dewalt drywall sander, might retired the porter cable now. Now I wills be buying the dewalt vac. Always been wanting it and was hoping they would come out with corded and battery version. Memo. Thanks for you vids! And time making them
Thanks for the info! I think I'm convinced to take the dive and invest in the dewalt sander. Alot of the walls that I finish usually get textured, so I think I can make good use of it. Appreciate it bro.
Awesome, no problem brother thats were this cordless sander shines in my opinion especially if you can make dust. Rip right through a house in an hour.
If the vaccum isn't too heavy, I think a good mod is to find a way to attach the vaccum to your back like a backpack. This way you don't have to drag it around the ground getting stuck on cords, debris, and etc so you can move easier Love your videos bro
How is the vacuum heavy when it’s on wheels and your pulling it around with u I use a festool sander and vac and I where stilts when I sand ceilings The vacuum isn’t heavy when your pulling it along with u
you mentioned using the sander in this video as a 2nd coat for the walls that will be smooth... Would you recommend using this tool for your final sanding coat? I normally only do 3 coats when I mud. So my 3rd coat is the final coat. Normally when I pole sand, I use a 120 grit. You mentioned if one has never used a machine sander before, go with a higher grit that you normally wouldn't go with. In this case would you suggest going from 120 to 220? Also where do you buy that specific sanding paper from? Do you have any links for it you can share? Thanks
Been watching a few of your vids since I ordered a DeWalt sander the other week. So far, I've only used it for scuffing, but finish sand is coming up. I'm new to auto Sanders and looking for tips so I don't destroy my work. Do you have a detailed video on everything someone should know? If not, maybe you have some tips? I have 120 and 150 grit and seeing you with 220 has me worried lol Eg suggested grits, suggested paths/patterns to sand, swirl marks (do they show through paint or do I need to pass the pole over everything after), any do's and don'ts, and any other important tips to save me from recoating. Much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching brother pretty much just keep it flat and keep it moving. I use 180 joest sandpaper the extra padding is great for fine sanding. As long as the finish isn't gouged the paint will cover everything especially if the painters are good and back roll the coats.
@@csdrywallhawaii I don't know what union wages are, not much of that around here. But if someone wants me to help hourly, I get $45.00 an hour. For straight go house, board and finish its $2.25 per foot. Thats not window returns, most closets now swing doors, so bead is minimal. by the way, seen your older clip about putting on a belt clip for your router, just did it on mine, thanks
Mirka is king for fine finish level 5 smooth. Dewalt for everything else. Overall I think the dewalt is going to handle more of a beating since we do alot of texture.
Love ur videos bro, no crpas always on point. I was thinking about dewalt sander and dust extractor, I don't mind to invest in dewalt platform. Do u think I can use these bad boys as my main sander & vacuum if I have enough batteries (we can make dust here in Australia so I can use the sander only if it's necessary) How long do u think a 12AH battery will last on the vacuum? Thanks for the great job u r doing bro.
Thanks for the support brother I hoping the 12ah gets atleast 75min. If I didn't have the flexvolt batteries I won't buy them just for the vacum since two 12ah will be around 450 plus another 400 for the the vacuum. That's 850 for a portable vac, yes but not nearly as strong as the cheaper corded hepa vac options out there.
Nice,..! I am gonna save up for that sander. Would it be possible for you to give us an idea of how much you charge for a job..? I know probably depends on the job or the sqf area. I'm gonna star my small dry wall business, I need some tips. Thank you.
I know you were going for irony in the title but I think it's a little confusing. I thought I was about to watch a review on a bad dewalt product but was very surprised
@@csdrywallhawaii they even have dewalt pan and knives i own a set just as good as the usg brand. Might have to get the sander for sure the porter cable one gets heavy lol
I just turned 23 and I got my first set of Dewalt tools When I used to work for a modular moving company paid through $20 each check,Now I’m investing in electrical lawnmowing equipment so far I’m OK with my Dewalt lawn outdoor power tool equipment! I love watching videos like this to learn!
Awesome video! Thanks for sanding a room with out the vacuum system hooked up so you can see the difference which was huge!💪🏻
Yup shure is thanks for watching 👀

No problem brother glad I could help. Yup the dewalt is a beast so far.
Where did you get the cart to roll it around?
I'm a hanger/framer not a finisher, but that sander looks like the way to go compared to a sanding pole.
Ya bro it is drywall tools have changed alot in the past couple years. 🤙🏽

Super nice job Memo!! Great video and love the new vac, might be just the right size for the kind of work I do.
Thanks brother its a solid vac for that especially if you have the platform already.
Great video . I been wanting to grab the m class dust extractor now I’m definitely gonna get it
Has the soft pad been released yet?
Use another tstak box and make a dust seperator keeps filters heaps clean
🤔 great idea thanks brother.
how do u do that ?
I just bought this exaxt setup. Hows it held up for you?

Thanks Doug ya this bad boy is a bit to heavy to wear.
Dewalt actually has a back pack dust collector

Its been a while do you still recommend this vacuum? If not which one thats cordless
How do you stop the sander from shocking you?
Antistatic hose
Link for Tstack please, I couldn't find the one u r using.
Thank u bro
Do you have to hand sand and touch up with a pan of mud and a tight skim over the sin left behind? Or is it ready to texture a real light orange peel?
We just sand blow the walls and texture.

Can you make a video of your original dewalt vacuum please and awesome video
Do you have the link for the Amazon cart?
Yes it's in the video description above . That's for watching
hi there, how you can changer soft pad for sander ? thank you .
I just got mine in I'll shoot a video later.
@@csdrywallhawaii thank you so much.
Where can I get the sponge pad for the sander ? Thanks
I got it locally but should be able to find online.
CSR has accepted more money from me, than I care to admit. Keep up the great work brother.
Hahaha I feel ya man.1🤙🏽
Quick question, what does a journeyman taper make over there? Thanks
Union It's $44 an hour plus benefits and vacation pay. Out side cash it's $250-300 how about in 🇨🇦.

I thought you loved the mirka sander ? If you where to only buy. one sander which one would you buy mirka or dewalt ?
Mirka is king for fine finish level 5 smooth. Dewalt for everything else. Overall I think the dewalt is going to handle more of a beating since we do alot of texture.
Where did you get your bag for your sander? I've been looking for the right size any recommendation? Thanks!
I used my old festool bag but I pretty shure the hilti sander bag fits it and it's more rugged. Only thing is knid of pricey around 150.
@@csdrywallhawaii thanks bro
I have the makita... not all that impressed with dust collection. Is this sander better ?
The dust collection is similar to the feestool tool as long that it's hooked up to a strong vacuum.
Ok thanks Memo!

Pretty busy right now
Hi there ,do you think you’d damage the sander without the vacuum?
Nope do it all the time
@@csdrywallhawaii thanks for the reply 👍
I was about to buy that set of vacuum and sander
I probably only buy the sander
Vacum is great for smaller jobs and if you have the flexvolt platform if not it doesn't make sense. Corded would be way cheaper.

Can you do a review of a
TAPETECH Mudruner
And a
Columbia Throttle box
Mine just has an annoying alarm which will not turn off at all!!!
Do yo find a way to stop the alarm...i have the same problem..10x😊
You don’t use a bag in that vacuum?
No not really it cleans up pretty fast without the bag so I stopped buying after a while.

festool planex 2.... I want a review
Available to the rest of us in May some time only the select few got it before.
Why not just get the 10 gallon dewalt hepa vac . Roughly the same price
You are such a inspiration thanks bro
Thanks for the support and kind words brother means alot
Excellente! ...y que lindo ayudando a tu esposa 😏👏🏻
Grancias por el apoyo🤙🏽
you need to sand the seams first then the nails
Thanks for watching 🤙🏽 as long as it's smooth...
That dewalt sander is bad ass too bad I switched from dewalt tools to milwaukee 😎
