Some of the more mid youtubers might stretch what would be a good 20 minute video into 40 minutes of fluff or start repating themself to stretch the runtime, or it simply just gets to boring to finish the video in that length. It's very dissapointing to me some youtubers are needing to make hour long vids to the please the algorithym when they were making very good 20 minute or less videos.

Sonic Generations; self-aware, making fun of the ‘too many friends’ thing, while actively drawing attention to Eggman’s losing streak Sonic Boom (like you said) Lost World and subsequent entries lacked direct fourth wall breaks, but continued to poke fun at the characters and continuity. It only ‘stopped’ starting from TSR, and Frontiers is basically a return to form. TLDR; the ones at the beginning of the 2010s mostly, the rest except TSR were fairly meta as well.

Quite the opposite, they hate side characters. We haven't had a game with playable side characters since like 2008. Sonic and the Black Knight had some I think. Before that it was Sonic 06 which had 3 well functioning ones, and then 6 intentionally weak side characters that were barely useable, 2 of which have a high rate of suicides (Knuckles and Blaze) It's unfortunate but that this is what killed the series for me, no side characters and too much 2D.
Everyone's talking about how difficult it was to find voice actors for Vector and Esper, but can we just mention how Jehtt had to find *two more* talented voice actors to voice Sonic and Shadow just for a couple of seconds?
A lot of meta jokes aren't funny but this video is gold because it just keeps getting more and more meta, I was half expecting it to end with live footage of me watching the video.
