- Mcdoubles back again with a brand new video and today CHAPTER 2 IS UPON US!
Chapter 2 came out on February 10th for Project Ascension and in this video you'll see what I decided to do on day 1 of the patch! This patch brings some major changes to the game to push it in a truly "classless" direction by adding AP and SP scaling to ALL abilities, so now your Fireball has AP scaling and your Mortal Strike scales with SP! This could potentially already be enough to change the meta and add new, strong and unique builds to the mix.
To add to that, brand new enchants like Lei Shen's Legacy, also known as the THUNDER BEAR, have also come out with Chapter 2 and in this video we decide to test Lei Shen's Legacy from 1-60 and beyond, into Mythics and M+, in an attempt to make it work.
We'll also be looking at some new changes to the game that have happened in general. It was a LONG day 1 and overall I'd have to say that Thunder Bear was definitely worth playing.

Agreed, I love watching these way more than the 20 minute ones. Idk if we're just a vocal minority or not, you see the watch time/views of videos based on lengths better than us, but we that love watching you love seeing the longer videos. Dude, if you put more ads on the videos, it would be worth it to see the quality of tour videos possibly go up. I know how you feel about it - like you'll be a sell out, or that you'll feel guilty for making us sit through it and stuff - but you need money. Everyone does. People have made sure that you can't escape this reality. Will it stuck to get stopped by an ad every few minutes? Yes, but what that means is that you have the security and means to deal with anything bad that happens to you. What if a disaster struck your area and you couldn't make videos for a month because you needed a new computer/place to make videos? You'd run out of money quickly if you're living paycheck to paycheck right now. I know you're afraid of videos doing badly, and getting more money from the videos where you do do well will help you feel more safe. And on another point, can you take a break right now? Could you take a vacation if you wanted to? Will you be able to even try to retire at this rate? You need money. I understand not wanting to feel like you're betraying us, but you're not going to. We want to see your content, and the best way to do that is to make sure you're financially stable enough to continue doing what you're doing. You're really good at doing what you're doing. You deserve more money. I'd pay your patron if it wasn't for the fact I'm still not in the nest place financially myself. I get it's notsomething that you want to do, but we live in a game, and Money is how we keep playing. We don't want to play this game, but if we don't, we either die, or suffer long enough to regret it. Don't regret it. Please. You have to play the game. Everyone does.

As someone who's been in more than one knife fight, I just wanna say, you don't feel it go in. You're gonna have to stab that wolf 20 times and survive long enough for it to bleed out. Go for an axe or a club instead my guy. -Kurtcaine
Aslo, wolves are huge compared to dogs! And any fighter dog would beat an average person with a knife 90% of the time I think, if not more
Can confirm. I got in a fight and got stabbed about a week ago. Didn't even know i did until a friend told me after the fight. Definitely have been feeling it since the day afterwards though
Yeah, knives are like the worst weapon to use, they only really do anything if the opponent is on the ground, and even then it's just way worse than a sword (except if they wear full plate armor).
blunt force trauma is much more effective than bleeded weapons on large muscle mamals, a mace a axe a club , very very smart ideal i totall agree

Hey McDoubles, Just so you know your videos made me return to the game I first played ascension when it was basically a mess back in 2016 or 2017 x) enchant had so little impact on the gameplay back then it was just some random "Reduce cooldown of that" etc etc it wasn't so fun.. anyway I love you content, I return to the GAME because of YOU. and I thank you for that. Hey Mcdoubles just wanted to say i grew up raising wolfs and they get big. Around 6 ft. tall standing on two legs and around 200 lbs. sad part was it was one of the smaller breeds.

Last year in suggestions, I suggested a thunder bear but different, I suggested it to be a thunder lizard, and i was disappointed the thunder bear didn’t have a special form, like curse of arugal or serpent form, we need those types of REs on bears

I have had the WoW cook book for years and have made tons of stuff from it. I have enjoyed pretty much all the recipes. My cover is different then yours but if your book has Honey Lichen I totally would make that as a nice snack.

Bear is my jam. I played them from patch 1.01 to 9.1. So glad this server lets me have so many versions to flip between.
How do you get the class colors for that paladin and the grove ranger? Everyone comes up Hero Class off-yellow for me.
if you don't have a blender you can try cooking the soup until the vegetables are soft then mashing them into a pulp. I had a simular issue when I was cooking potato soup last week!

Edit: I haven't finished the video yet, so idk if you ended up getting it, but the bear skin they used in the video for thunder bear is an incarnation from the bazaar shop. It was like 4-5k tokens when I got mine a while back.

Tip for bear just in general, survival of the fittest is a must have talent as a bear tank because it gives you your defense cap for PvE(and more armor) and i noticed in your build breakdown you didn't have it. Not that big a deal in M0 and +1-5 but being crit is a big F in high keys and raids.

Not really all that amazing, but there's plague bearer enchant. It's a boring one though
I will be doing this tank full time. My two favorite things in wow, Bears and Lightning. Didn't know you could block with a shield as a bear. I will have to incorporate that into my build. -Krumbull

After Plague and Shadow bears having unique visuals I'm honestly shocked they *didn't* give Thunder Bear anything unique outside of the extremely minor lightning VFX (and that's only while Thunder Hide is active!). The spec is also definitely not for me, though maybe it's just because I'm not really experienced with baseline bear or a lot of Ascension Tanking. Might poke back into it down the line and once the bugs with Thunder Hide's recast are fixed. -Hoovesmcgee

minestrone (translates to "big soup") is an italian dish that is a vegetable long-lasting stew you can even cook pasta with it
I'm italian and "minestra" is a soup with small pasta in it. "Minestrone" is like minestra but with more stuff like vegetables, legumes and spieces.

Ayo MCdoubles, at first i love your content! I decided to try out Ascension now but i have to admit my Brain broke into Pieces last night. So much input, you got some hints for me to start my journey without the constant feeling of doing mistakes? Stay healthy mate!
Comparing a wolf and a large dog... is bad my guy. Wolves are normally way bigger then most dogs (not great danes for example). A hungry wolf will eviscerate you before you know it, because there is never just ONE wolf. When they attack you, then you can be sure that there are more behind you, and two on each of your sides.

I haven't seen anyone else use asdf and it always made me feel weird talking about my binds to people but seeing someone else use it makes me a little less self conscious
Most aoe abilities from tank are uncapped which allow for more damage on massive target aoe pulls.

I'm not sure were you live, but a number of places have fight club type gyms with training knives or other weapons.
@Mcdoubles I think that in regards to the retail tank meta a lot of people prefer tanks to do like 80% of what dps are doing at the same ilvl because tanks get extremely bored when they're doing 0 dps. And retail suffered for a long time with basically no one wanting to tank. One of the times that tanks were extremely well represented was in MoP when tanks were sometimes topping damage meters. Obviously that's not exactly healthy for DPS, but I think that's the reason retail is the way it is now.
I found that after you completed the quest called "A Future Task" you should go to the head by uldum... It's not the astal guy who is shown in the video. The head is to the right of the gate. It will give you the final quest. GL noobs!

for someone interested about leather vs plate, even without talents, dire bear has +75% armor from leather and cloth
for lvl 60 example T1 normal Plate set helmet (warry and Pala) has 521 armor
a t1 cloth... CLOTH has 367 with x1.75 is 642.25 normal leather on that ilvl would be 428 ->749 the druid tank t1 has even more with 479-> 838.25. A t3 ASCENDED Plate helmet for tanks has 788.
so no... Plate bear has not and will not be worth it over leather because even without talents you miss a lot of armor and you NEED the armor because a bear tank cannot be immune to crushing blows.
also all talents that improve the cloth+leather armor in bear are necessary anyway for all bears because they provide %stamina for Thick Hide and %all stats and crit immunity from Survival of the Fittest.
I can't wait for Cryotherapist. I mostly heal, so having new healing specs is always nice. Hopefully, this one is good. -Casualhealer

Regarding the pull you had... One some other private servers there was an issue that aoe would go through floors (e.g. if you cast blizzard, it sort of falls from sky, but through the floor above you, and it will dmg and aggro mobs from there)... It is probable that this is happening on Ascension now.
Btw, I have original cookbook, and it is great. I made few recipes from it and they were cool (I recommend Conjured Mana Buns :))

I was looking forward to this LRE so much, and then bear looks just like bear, and ontop of that thunder clap smash things radius was way too narrow, in dungeons i found myself focusing on my angle to the mobs more than i should have to in order to hit as many targets as possible.
