I got caught out one time with white smoke. It was brake fluid leaking into the booster and down the vacuum hose and into the inlet manifold/engine. Pump the brake pedel and the shop would fill up with smoke.

Hi there I've got a 2002 316 2.7 cdi 150bhp van that went down with white smoke on motorway. Mechanic had plugging his code reader and said it might be the diesel pump. The codes came up '' NO SYNCHRONISATION BETWEEN CAMSHAFT AND CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. and LOW RAIL FUEL PRESSURE'' wonder if it's the pump that need replacing, or its an injectors. Van cranks over but won't fire up? Thanks
"Hard starting, white smoke, and low power in your 2005 Ford Everest could be caused by issues like a faulty glow plug system, a problem with the fuel injectors, or a leaking head gasket. I'd recommend checking these components, as they could be letting coolant into the combustion chamber, causing the white smoke and difficulty starting.
I am learning something new everytime I'm watching your videos 💪
