Great video and answered several questions I had. One particularly around the colour of the wall behind. Currently mine is white and I have been thinking of painting it a dark colour for the reason you mentioned. Your advice has helped me make the decision to paint it. I think the effort will be worth while. This is my first attempt at this and I am a DIY novice but have high hopes :-) Thanks again for the video (y)

So does the gap between the existing wall and the new wall create a sound barrier or help with insulation on an interior wall that that the other side is exterior.
The pallet wall is an exterior wall there's brick on the other side
Are you sanding the surface at all? I want to do this in my livingroom
I did a couple, but that was only ly to change the color, but I imagine it wouldn't be too hard it you wanted to sand the whole wall. Keep in mind I can't stress how awesome old fence picket are. You can make them different widths and help out by adding longer ones to your wall. Really make it random. Thanks for the question
Are you using an 18g brad nailer or a 16g to attach the pallet wood to the studs?
On this job, I used 18 gauge. Either will work.It's justt a bigger hole with 16. Hope that helps. Thanks for the question
Turned out awesome. I’m getting ready to do a wall about that size myself. Do you have a rough estimate of how many pallets you used?
I don’t remember exactly but just guessing I would say 20-30 pallets. We also used old fencing that was same type of pallet wood just longer slats. They worked nicely too to give some different lengths to the boards. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck!
Please be careful on ladders. Dont try this at home. One bad fall & you can get hurt badly or even die. I'm disappointed this video is not showing safe ladder use. No I'm nit exaggerating
