What a great classic game. I remember having to get up to watch this game at 2AM when I was stationed at Rhein-Main AB, Germany. I never missed a Vikings game when it was on AFN TV. When it went to OT I was getting a bit ticked because I had to leave for work at 6AM and the game was still going. Thanks for adding this.
I watched this when I was 13 in the apartment I lived in with my parents. I remember decorating the Christmas tree during this game. Being a young Bears fan, I was bummed out, ha. But I look back and really enjoy the mid 80’s to mid 90’s Bears vs Vikings rivalry. Much respect...
The 1990s had it all. Music, movies,tv shows and the 90s Vikings. Man they were fun to watch. I always thought they had some great defenses with some great, smart and bad ass defensive players.Denny put some damn good teams out there. R.I.P. Denny, sure do miss those teams.
Ah, the 1994 season. The Vikes luck out on this game, win the division title by beating a 49ers team that rested their starters during the last game of the regular season, and go out on a horrible crafted gameplan by Dennis Green to lose to this same team in the WC round.
Sebastiancanes I actually witnessed that wildcard game between the Bears and the Vikings. About a week before I celebrated my 29th birthday. But another factor in the Vikings' loss to my point of view as a Bears fan wasn't just the ill advised game plan by coach Dennis Green; it was the Vikings' choice of trading their whole playing future to the Cowboys to get Herschel Walker. That was a stupid mistake on the part of the Vikings if you ask me. And this is from a Bears fan of all people!
@@scoobycarr5558 Denny Green's time with the Vikings can be summarized this way: The offense got better every year, and the defense got worse. No question though, he could have used all them draft picks.
We remember Cris Carter & Randy Moss, but before Moss, there was Jake Reed. Jake had four 1000 yard seasons and was number 2 in receiving yards in the NFL in 96.
Lovin these Vikings videos man! Do you have 1994 Dolphins @ Vikings? (Moon vs. Marino) I remember that being a pretty damn good game, maybe worth a highlight vid. Skol!
I think I remember that game. The Vikings went up 28-0, the Dolphins came back to tie it, and the Vikes ended up winning on a last second Fuad Reviez field goal?
I watched this in my dorm room with other classmates and we lost it so bad when Carter scored in OT the RA's threatened to kick us out! I was on the verge of graduating so I walked around for a few hours in the cold Illinois night!
I was at this game. We got up to get a head start on getting to the car when the Bears lined up for the field goal. We slinked back in and got heckled after they missed 😂I saw Moon signal to Carter before the touchdown bomb… it was more obvious from the stands that the corner had no help. Once the ball was hiked and players started moving I thought ‘this game is over’. And I wasn’t the only one. People were jumping and hollering before the ball was thrown.
Any chance you’d have footage from a Jets at Vikings (November 1994) game around? The Vikings lost, but it was my first football game I attended when I was 7 years old. Would be cool to see it again.
9:07 Keenum steps in to it pass is caught diggs sideline touchdown unbelievable Vikings win it ...color anylayst be like da fauq you talking about...play by play commentator be like oh this is awkward what do I say now I'm a time travler?
ESPN actually. From 1990-1997, TNT would show Sunday Night games for the first half of the season, and ESPN would have them for the second half. Occasionally each networks had Thursday nighters. There were 15 TNF games in that 8 year stretch.

You're the BEST Sir! Go Vikes!
I WAS AT THAT GAME - ONE OF THE BEST EVER! THANK YOU!!!

Boy moon threw the most prettiest deep ball!

RIP Denny Green! Amazing coach and person! 🙏
Just came across your channel....Subbed.
Ahhh, nostalgia.
Skol.
The NFL 75th anniversary logo was beautiful
Yes, in direct contrast to the 100-year logo. From a diamond to dirt.
Back when Thursday night NFL games were a rare treat and not a weekly annoyance
Major facts 👍🏾💯
Denny had his faults, but he built the most exciting teams. If 98 would have went the right way. There would be statues of him at the new stadium !
0:30 "He just wins football games"

Losing to them in the playoffs. That’s when Denny really started to face criticism. 3 years, 3 playoff births, 2 division titles, no playoff wins.
“All he does is catch touchdowns.” - Buddy Ryan
awesome. thanks for this upload miss those years.
I was 15 years old I remember this game
I love these videos because even though it's tense the Vikings always win.
This may have been the tightest season in the history of the NFC Central - Vikings 10-6, Packers Lions and Bears all 9-7
All four played in the wild card round against each other.
0:55 HOFer over matching homeboy Walsh. Recall the way that Charger Guard went down. That pick 6 was a personal favorite!
Of course the first player they show after Carter s TD is Kevin Butler Bears kicker
The ultimate upshot - the Carter score, that was obviously just intended to get a first down and suddenly the seas parted.

Do you have 1994 packers at vikings Week 8? That game was also on a Thursday. It was on TNT, instead of ESPN
Hell of a game!
Awesome. I remember watching this game at home with my dad. Would you or anyone else have the '94-'95 playoff game between the Bears and the Vikings?
Why do you want that?
notice that jack del rio comment, these vikes were clutch.
Lovin these Vikings videos man! Do you have 1994 Dolphins @ Vikings? (Moon vs. Marino) I remember that being a pretty damn good game, maybe worth a highlight vid. Skol!
Sadly no. My collection of Moon games is sorely lacking. Hopefully it'll find its way into the light of day sometime.

Whoever was the Vikings Special Teams coach should've been fired immediately after the game! Lol. Smh.

A linebacker can't cover Chris Carter.
Great upload. Thanks a lot.
Never miss a FG in OT
The 7-5 Vikings host the 8-4 Bears in a shoot out for the lead in the NFC Central division.
At 3:44 ref on the ground because the punt return was so epic 😎
I remember watching this as a teen, My guy Carter 80 for the win!
Moon-carter connection❤
This game was played the day after the PlayStation was first released in Japan.
Any chance you’d have footage from a Jets at Vikings (November 1994) game around? The Vikings lost, but it was my first football game I attended when I was 7 years old. Would be cool to see it again.
Haven't ever come across that one.
It’s a beautiful thing!
Cris Carter breaking hearts. He gone!
9:11 DIGGS! SIDELINE! TOUCHDO- Oh wait, wrong game...
Great game.
9:07 Keenum steps in to it pass is caught diggs sideline touchdown unbelievable Vikings win it ...color anylayst be like da fauq you talking about...play by play commentator be like oh this is awkward what do I say now I'm a time travler?
The year the Vikings played four overtime games.
by today's rules, had Butler made that kick in OT, The Vikings still would have won the game. only it would have been by 3 instead of 6.
Great game although they got us in the playoffs. Either way it didnt matter, no one was beating Niners or Cowboys in those years.
The Bears starting QB Steve Walsh, wasn't he considered arguably better than Troy Aikman once upon a time before this?
Great win lost to bears that year in playoffs sad ending to another year
Millennials you've got to recall this epic game.
SKOL. LMAO 3:45 Referee fall
End Thursday Night Games.
Pahleez!!

Was this a Sunday night game?
I believe it was Thursday Night on TNT.
ESPN actually. From 1990-1997, TNT would show Sunday Night games for the first half of the season, and ESPN would have them for the second half. Occasionally each networks had Thursday nighters. There were 15 TNF games in that 8 year stretch.
Wow. Cool! That is interesting. I never knew that SNF was originally on TNT or ESPN. Thanks guys!
Minny Paul no this was a Saturday night game on ESPN
funkydunkleman I don't remember Sunday night games on tnt, I only remember espn Sunday night football.
Cris Carter, all he does is catch touchdowns
