Dude, 3 years that's amazing! I deleted my socials and ditched the smart phone for a simple flip phone. It's only been about a week but I feel a tremendous foggy cloud is lifting away from my life. :)
That's awesome - how are you managing not having useful app? Like maps etc? Feel like phones are so integral now, even my gym requires an app to enter 😩
@@JoeMambrodi I bought the new Nokia flip phone and it comes with maps! For everything else I use my laptop at home. And I see what you mean with the gym. I used to have a gym like that too, but I switched to a workout app called "down dog" and I play that off of my laptop as well. But working out at home is better for me.
I still have an Instagram account but I deleted the app from my phone in January. Had to. It was getting to the point where I was sick of looking at other peoples lives. It was making me so anxious and jealous. But not I’ve been off it for a while it makes me realise how stupid it all is. Comparison is the thief of joy!
@@bronsonkatz8307 Yeah, love a podcast while communicating or working out. I'm not against technology or media by any stretch, I just think most people's use of social media is actually way more of an addiction and is stealing hours away from them.
Hi Mark, i only deactivated my accounts as I didn't want to lose photos etc. not sure if after all this time I would still be able to log back in to be honest as I'm guessing it might be a bit unfair to people wanting the username handles?? But it's a nice idea at least that my old memories are still there. With Facebook in particular you can deactivate your account but still keep your messenger account on the messenger app. This was super important to me as it was my main way of communicating with people so being able to keep that was ideal. Thanks for watching 💪
Life with no social media you have so much time on your hands
