Here is an elderly gentle man who worked his entire life in the masonry trade, built things that made people's lives good or better. Now that he has given all his body can, he needs assistance, and you show up. Not only do you give him a helping hand, you listen to his story. A true treasure you are. You helped him and made him feel valuable again. I hope you get all the blessings you have earned.

That old man's like a whole bunch of old Dads the world over. My Dad, my mates Dad. They're upset that their yard looks like that, it never would have happened for them years ago. We may well all be on our way to be that guy. I'm so happy that you helped him out. It's like helping all of our Dads out. Thank you.

I recently turned 80. I love watching these yard work clips. The best thing about this clip, was you taking time to talk to the guy. Didn't matter what you discussed; only that you sat and listened. Those of us who are nearing the end, truly enjoy and appreciate young folks like yourself, who make an effort to communicate with us. Bless your soul, young man. Oh, and you did a great job on a difficult project. You might consider using your cowboy hat and Texas, burnt orange shirt in your advertising. Txs for sharing.

He reminds me a little of my step-grandfather who passed almost 8 years ago. Vietnam veteran. A lot of health issues from the war. But, did not want to feel sorry for himself. He was working and doing things up until the moment he passed. This guy had me tearing up 🥺❤️

Truebeing on the younger end, but in a bad accident,I know personally the neighbor, "men" know I was in the accident. They Coe out get on their riders, cut their grass, and go back in. I was surprised. I used to living where people help each other. Not here. They are gossipers, liars and thieves. After tge crash. I was unable to do anything for 6 months. They stole my, hundreds of dollars in plants, right out of my yard. I also, thst single lady. (A guy told me it is jealousy?)
It takes me 4 days to cut my grass. I can only do a quarter if it at a time. Then wait till I can do the next part.by the time I fet done, the first part is getting longer. I did get a new blade, that helped a lot.
I didn't realize the type around here until too late. And due to the ongoing medical and accident related bs, I am stuck here. But I am worse than this guy. Slowly able to do less and less.
Definitely no AL's here. Just Perverts. So I have to cut it myself

The amount of people you inspire to go out and help others is the true gift. Yes your hard work helps a homeowner no doubt. You inspired me last year to go around my neighborhood and knock on the doors of those homes with overgrown lawns. I cut about 6 last year and 7 already this season. Only cut the same lawn one time. That’s about 12 neighbors.
I never ask or care why the yard looks like it does. Most are older folks who struggle financially.
I just wanted you to know how you have inspired men like me to step up and reach out to people who may be greatly impacted by helping with a little effort.

And it’s so clear how much he cares and how genuine he is. Sometimes all we need is to have help, and it gives us just enough energy and motivation to pitch in and be productive. I’m sure he felt like he couldn’t just sit inside while people helped him, but I bet by the end of this, he was plum wore out yet his heart full and a huge weight off his shoulders. Seriously love this so much. Another comment said what you do is ministry, and I couldn’t agree more!
