Freddie was 45 years old when he died. Nov. 24, 1991. Freddie was such a beautiful soul. 💞 a bright light. The world got alot dimmer when he died. Great reaction, sweetie.
I can't believe no one has mentioned where this song came from. Queen did the five songs from the movie "Highlander " in the mid 80s. It was about a man who was immortal, he suffered watching the woman he loved die of old age in his arms. It's a beautiful song, very powerful! 😊
1986 film. Watched it AGAIN yesterday. Adam Lambert now sings with Queen to these songs. It's weird how millions of people know the songs, but don't know Queen produced them..... We Are The Champions, We Will rock you, Crazy Little Thing Called Love (who everyone thinks is an Elvis cover) etc.
Deaky on the white double bass. Awesome! Check out Queen live at the Rainbow (1974) "In the Lap of the Gods" You will be amazed at Roger's extremely high voice!
Queen must be the best band that has ever existed, who even comes up with songs like this or is able to sing like this. Unbelievable how good they where. Rip Freddie and wishing good health and long life for Brian, Roger and John.
The movie hit it spot on. The bad thing about being immortal is that everyone else dies and you have to go on. Tolkien covered it with his immortal elves, too.
I've only just discovered your channel, so you may not see this post. I've subscribed because you seem like a normal bloke, like. Me. This was played at my father in-laws funeral, along with Those Were 'The Days Of My Life'. He was a massive Queen fan. I'm in my 50's, and lucky to see Queen at Live Aid. In my opinion the best 20 minutes in music history. And don't be ashamed of getting emotional at this song. I'm wiping tears away now. This is one of the most requested songs at UK funerals. So millions of people get emotional about it. I even do at work, if it comes on the radio. No one bats an eyelid at me. Because my colleagues are a similar age group, and most have had the same experience with family funerals etc. Just subscribed, hope there's more Queen to come.
Id have a listen to Freddie Mercury solo vs the 1995 album by Queen called Made in Heaven (which was originally a solo by Freddie from 1985). He left alot of material so the band took his voice and created Queen songs. Like "i was born to love you ". Too much love will kill you is ...devastating! Btw this song WWTLF was written for the soundtrack of the Highlander movie. He used 5 octaves in this song which is almost impossible and thats why you should listen to the live version. Its SO different, so heartbreaking. So astonishing, especially the Budapest version.
I am 70 and I believe that I should still go on for a good while. The thought of that only being perhaps another dozen years is crazy. It will be impossible to do all I want and need to do in that amount of time. We spend our lives to around 65-70 working then when we finally retire, we are left with a whole list of things we never had time to do before and realize that we don't have time to do them all now, either. In the end, the show must go on, with or without us. Bands? Led Zeppelin, The Who, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers, Santana, Deep Purple, Foo Fighters, Chicago, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Derrick and the Dominos, Heart, Leonard Cohen, Credence Clearwater Revival, ZZ Top, Joni MItchell, Traffic, Steely Dan...that should do for starters.
Noooooo!! There’s so many gems by Queen! Let me mention a few of them then you can react to them on your own time - IT’S LATE, DEAD ON TIME, LIAR, SEE WHAT A FOOL I’VE BEEN, SOUL BROTHER .... Thanks for the shout RADIO GA GA written by Queen specifically by Roger Taylor (drummer). WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER was written by Brian for the Highlander movie!! Queen wrote the soundtrack which is absolutely amazing!! GIMME THE PRIZE is a banger from same movie! RIP Freddie & Sean Connery 🥺🌸🌼🌸🌼 Freddie was 45 yrs old when he passed away on Nov. 24, 1991. 😭 Okay see artists below! Prince LITTLE RED CORVETTE & PURPLE RAIN. It doesn't really matter what day of the week it is, nothing can really change who it is that you are. If you are the type of person who gets emotional to certain things then that's what you'll do.
Live at Budapest is amazing. Freddie’s charisma level is stratospheric! Yes I would love you to keep reacting to Queen, but if you want suggestions for other bands, Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven live at Madison Square Garden, and Pink Floyd, Echoes live at Pompeii
Hi there, I just came across your videos. I looked through your play list and didn't find one of my favorite Queen songs. It's Freddy Mercury's hate letter to their first manager who basically stole a LOT of money from the new up and coming band. The name of the song is Death on Two Legs. I recommend seeing the original video because all the lyrics are listed in the video.
It was so satisfying to see you go from "I'm not really a Queen fan" to the reaction to this video. They grow on you in such a short amount of time, don't they?
Please listen to the live version of this - Wembly 1985- Freddie does an all time heart stopping performance. Even if you don’t do a reaction- please watch it on your own- this is powerful live like you cannot imagine!
Don't beat yourself up too much, many great individuals have got misty eyed at this song including Seal (who actually performed this song at Wembley in 1992, at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert). Even when I hear it on the film Highlander starring Christopher Lambert I start to well up.😭😬🤝👍
Have you heard Bob Seger & the silver bullet band, the song " turn the page" or how about Lynyrd Skynyrd " free bird" you wouldn't be disappointed with them.
No one will ever sing like Freddie with Queen. Try Hyde Park 1976 You take my breath away. Other bands of the era: Journey, Heart, Bob Marley and the Whalers, Depeche Mode, Cure, Scorpion, Guns and Roses, Boston, Dire Straits. We were spoiled for music back then- actual talented bands.
More Queen ..White Queen don't stop please! Fredie Mercury, Brian May lead guitar Roger Taylor on drums, John Deacon on bass pleases, play Live Aid Consert and White Queen thank you. Patricia
If you want something different then check out 'Meatloaf' some of the more powerful songs include ' Life is a Lemon ' ' A Kiss is a Terrible Thing to Waste ' & ' Not a Dry Eye in the House '
I don't know how long I'll hang in here if you really only do 7 Queen/Freddie songs then abandon them, which is like dying of thirst, taking one tiny sip of water then throwing the rest out but... The Righteous Bros, Dusty Springfield, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Electric Light Orchestra, David Bowie, Elton John, The Animals, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nirvana (whose lead singer, Kurt Cobain, mentions Freddie Mercury in his suicide note-- every great singer & frontman knows Freddie was the best), Heart, Celine Dion, Mott the Hoople, Prince, Aerosmith, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon & Garfunkel, The Grassroots, the Dave Clark Five (which NOBODY has done and who had one of the best rock voices ever, despite his baby face, RIP Mike Smith), the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, Pat Benetar, Juice Newton, The Carpenters, Bon Jovi, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Neil Young. Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, the Beach Boys, Yazoo, the B-52s, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Buddy Holly, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Smokey Robinson, the Supremes, Ike & Tina Turner, Tina Turner solo after she ditched Ike... Oh, Lord, the list is so long and the music of the 50's/60s/70s/80s/90s was SO fucking great my fingers are getting sore. Still... seriously, bro, you can NOT not revisit Freddie/Queen. Seriously. Thanks.
You know we were trying to help you. Get a clue. QUEEN IS WHAT YOUR AUDIENCE WANTS AND YOUR PUSHING ALL OF US AWAY. SO ... GOOD LUCK WITH YOU AS A HOST.

SO mad and sad you're not reacting to Queen anymore. You're will miss so much great music. I only listen to Queen or Freddy Mercury reactions so I'm unsubscribing.
This was written for a movie. The protagonist is immortal and his lover is getting older and is mortal
Freddie was 45 years old when he died. Nov. 24, 1991. Freddie was such a beautiful soul. 💞 a bright light. The world got alot dimmer when he died. Great reaction, sweetie.
And because of his legacy, he has lived forever… just a thought. I agree with your statement though
😢 Our world is still dark.. Freddie was taken from us way too soon 🌹♥️🌠
I can't believe no one has mentioned where this song came from. Queen did the five songs from the movie "Highlander " in the mid 80s. It was about a man who was immortal, he suffered watching the woman he loved die of old age in his arms. It's a beautiful song, very powerful! 😊

Yes, emotional...and this song LIVE at Budapest takes it the next level.
Deaky on the white double bass. Awesome! Check out Queen live at the Rainbow (1974) "In the Lap of the Gods" You will be amazed at Roger's extremely high voice!
Only dogs can hear him.🔥😀 I was listening to that over and over again AAAAAAAAHHHHHH 🔥🔥🔥
Freddie's unique voice reaches my soul. There are no words to describe the greatness of this unforgettable artist.
Queen must be the best band that has ever existed, who even comes up with songs like this or is able to sing like this. Unbelievable how good they where. Rip Freddie and wishing good health and long life for Brian, Roger and John.
Would some of Freddie's solo work be different? Barcelona - fusion of Freddie and opera, The Great Pretender, so many more!
Possibly for the near future! Reacting to jimi hendrix atm!! So you can leave a suggestion for the current artists x
👏👏👏 Make it live at Wembley or Budapest
This live at Wembley Sat night will make you cry. Brian doesnt do this live and Freddie rips this apart!!! That voice THAT FRICKIN VOICE! Insane!
The movie hit it spot on. The bad thing about being immortal is that everyone else dies and you have to go on. Tolkien covered it with his immortal elves, too.
It's not the same without Angelic Brian singing the first verse, in my opinion.
I agree I love when Brian sings on this song too. He had a beautiful voice too even if not the same power as Freddie but not many do.

How right you are about Freddie’s voice being iconic! There will never be another Freddie or anyone that can compare to him! He is truly a LEGEND!
This song really hits you hard if you've ever lost someone you've loved.
We love Queen!!!!
Thank God you watched the Official Video of Queen, it was just sensational!! RIP Freddie
Great reaction! The live version at Wembley is excellent. So emotional and what he says before the song is wonderful.
