PS: Oh yeah! You saw the new DR version as evidenced by the new cityscape that made it a unique city rather than a reused mat painting.
I wouldn't have aimed for her face! But this time, we clearly see that the slow beam faded out of existence rather than cause damage to the bridge! Hence, there is no crew reaction to that moment! 😅

...while she combs her hair. Talk about blatant!

Too,I think,it’s good that Captain Kirk doesn’t go down to Scalos, and get’s killed.I think, too,it would’ve been nice 👍 if the Federation could’ve helped the alien 👽 insects?🐞 But,Mr.Spock wanted them to devote their entire problems of scalos on their people,so as not to get help(or,interference)from these alien 👽 species. So,in a way, their problem never get’s solved.😮

Wondered why they couldn't beam down the cure McCoy made. If it didn't work for them. It might have put them on track to a cure of their own

Great video! Great commentary and great beauty from you. 😍 My biggest objection to this episode is that it's one of those where the inhabitants of a distant planet look human without explanation. Hand waving that (along with FTL travel and comms, gravity floors etc), it's great science fiction. 🙂

Compton's willingness to show the complete inner workings of the ship to an alien for presumably sex goes against all Star Fleet training. Unconscionable!

So, when Kirk finally encounters Spock, sped up to his level and defending himself with a phaser, why does Kirk not tell him his phaser will be useless against them? He kind of left Spock vulnerable without his knowledge.

indeed he should have brought that up. An oversight. Although Kirk had one of their weapons. 🙂

It never occurred to me all the times I have watched this episode Kirk aims his phaser right at Deelahs head. He was going to shoot her in the face. 😂😂😂

Super speed is no joke. Imagine if the Klingons found this planet first😐 They would surely weaponize the super speed in time.

    30:05 Mark! I'm Viewer #488! 🎉 Thumb Up #80! 👍 Alexxa, you're welcome, and thanks! 😊
Notes: I took a break from "RUclips" to catch up on "DC" content over at "Tubi" while recovering from my cold. I guess it may be? 🤷‍♂️
Hmm. The post-coital scene? It isn't "infamous" to me, as I don't object to it. Nor is it "blatant" to me. I was a teenager before I had seen enough of other movies, usually Westerns, in which men rapidly dress after sex was depicted, for me to get the hint or clue about how television series would do something similar. 😉
That sexy blonde! This is my favorite character of hers. Her figure in that dress made the what looks like a floral "pattern" tolerable to me. I don't know what it supposed to be. But it reminds me of grades 2 & 3. I would see girls who had plastic notebooks apply "Elmer's Glue" to them and swirl their felt-tip pens or markers around in the glue, to make colorful abstract artwork. Sometimes their efforts were deemed worthy, other times wasteful. As a boy I was teases for emulating what the girls did. Ugh. It was the early 1970s.
Hmm. If her species wasn't compatible with Kirk's species, they wouldn't have bothered with trying to catch the starship and crew. Some species unknown to us would have been baited and we wouldn't have this story episode!
If I recall right she was a femme fatale in "The Wild Wild West" and that "Jim" got to have fun with her too! She may be two different characters in "The Andy Griffith Show" as was Susan Oliver. 🤔
Heh! Susan Oliver got to play variations of the same character in her one episode of "Star Trek"! No doppelgangers, clones, or holograms! No gynoids!
James Tiberius Kirk, being alluring to the femmes, just give him a shared trait with, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, James Bond, and Bruce Wayne, to name a few, so he isn't alone! 😂
Oh! That's what sets "Gilligan's Island" apart from other shows! Sure, the Howells were a married couple. But there were the two hotties, Ginger Grant and Mary Ann Summers, that the Professor, the Skipper, and Gilligan, were very attracted to, but the girls didn't see the men the same way, except for the Professor at times. Male guest stars got the attention of the girls! 😅
Bye-bye for now and namaste! 🙏

Cellular damage, even a scratch. could cause death in human who had been accelerated to their markedly faster level of existence. Perhaps the bodies of those human so unfortunate to befall this fate were getting burned out, and could not function fully at that level.

This is easily in my top 10. Be truthful, if you were a 10-year-old this wouldn't freak you out.
Just between you, me and anybody else here, Deela's buddy/Compton's squeeze, is hotter.
