My tribute to the amazing life of Mr Fox. Didier Martini : Piano Solo Composer : Alan Silvestri Please Donate to the Michael J. Fox Fondation : www.michaeljfox...
thanks i appreciate your comment but i must admit that I never liked what i recorded here, and always wanted to re record it again, but couldn't, i can't play piano anymore since 2017 and before, each recording was very difficult. it has been recorded under horrible circonstance, i want to remove it from youtube since a long time.. I can and could do it much better than that, but it's now too late and can't do it anymore. I'll release soon an orchestral rock arrangement of the whole back to the future trilogy in a 22mn medley (tunes will be released each by each first), featuring the 3 movies, including The power of Love, Johnny B Goode, Skateboard and Hoverboard chase, the Back to the future Main Titles, the end of BTTF1 (when doc returns), and the whole Back to the future 3 end credits suite ! it will sound much better than this, but it's not a piano solo version unfortunatly.
Hi, thanks ! I transcribed the whole end credits (27 pages) myself 20 years ago... but this recording / Arrangement above is fully improvised on the transcription ! The transcription i did is not written for "Piano". It's more a Small "Full Orchestra" sketches (if you know what it is) with melodies, counter part, Bass, percussion, rythm and harmonies / chords written, nothing else. I must re record this tribute anyway, the tempo is not right and too "smooth", and i cut the end of it in my recording. It was one of my first video, recorded in january 2011. Since then, i improved a lot my video editing skill, so when i'll have some times, i'll re record it, and this version will disappear.
Didier Martini wow... hopefully I could get my hands on or even buy your piano transcript. The full orchestra scores must be comprehensive and detailed. Sadly I only read piano scores. Not familiar with chords. Since a teenager, I've always dreamt of playing that particular part where doc brown says:"...the future hasn't been written...nobody has... so make a good one." It has a melody that resembles Disney's concoction which sounds like a ride. A ride in life. Hahaha... anyway, hope to hear your creation soon. I am just a hobbyist posting my piano playing so that I could practice more pieces and move on. Thanks pal.
I'll re-record this medley one of this day at a "better tempo". I used this tempo while recording it (it's an improvision mainly) for several different reasons. i'll not erase this version, i still think the result is interesting, it's an "another version".. it was completly improvised on the 27 pages transcriptions of the tune i did in the past (i did it in 1996) but i recorded it in 2011, and i didn't played the full transcription since 1996. so it was a mix of sight reading, improvisation, and ninja ability to turn the 27 pages as i completly forget the whole tune with the time. It will much different next time, and closer to how i approach today my piano solo recording that you see here on my channel. thanks !
I forgot to add that this version is the short version of my original recording / video. the tune was much much longer. i took the decision to shorten it by receiving some comments about it.
Thanks for your comment ! yes, it's a medley i did of almost all different themes from Back To the future I, II and III but it's the short version of my video. the longer version featuress Back to the Future I themes from the end of the first movie, but i didn't published it. In the future this medley will be re-recorded. It has been done using mainly improvisation and in one take, so it's not played in the same way than in the movie or in a songbook.
we can do a Tribute / hommage to someone even if he's still alive ! that's what i wanted to do (i'm not happy wih this recording / video, one of the first i did when i started to do them, and plan to redo it in the future). it's about his fight for his illness, and his fondation as well, and his dedication to help others ! that's what the message in the end what for... it's dedicated to him !
@@DidierMartini Yes I made my own trilogy trailer and I'm sending it to universal. It's on my channel if you want to check it out and give me feedback. You may have already seen it if your part of the back to the future forever Facebook group, it got 64 shares.
very nice to hear this music on the piano and I like how you arranged the medley! it came together nicely!
