Of course you could check your phone. Pff. But then why watch this video? I think its really great. Its one of those things i know existed but never know how to do or build.
I really appreciate your video. Your tone articulation and overall production is very high-quality. What a pleasant viewing experience. I just got a raspberry pie and I’m looking forward to trying to see how a magic mirror works for me. I’ve watched your video using the dal board and now we’ll see what I can do with a magic mirror to avoid the cost. Thanks for your inspiration.
Nice mirror, I need to build one for my 1/2 bath, no steam there...but I need it bigger 30x24, and would love if I could embed an LED frame inside the mirror, so it would look more upscale and replace the light fixture...
Instead of a computer monitor, would it be possible to strip the screen from a flat screen you would find at a thrift store (mid 2000-2010 styles)? For a larger body mirror
Another option to inlay the hardware, clamps and add a rabbet cut to flush-mount the glass and monitor is... a router, with a straight-cut (flute) bit. Would be nice and clean.
Great video. When repurposing a monitor or tv, do you relocate or bypass the original power button? Or how do you configure the screen to power on - say - after a power outage?
FWIW : that monitor was possibly fine from the rain... common misconception. Wet isn't always bad for electronics unless it is powered on during the wetting or before drying, as long as you don't let it sit and corrode and/or don't clean the mineral deposits left behind. The true issues are the water/minerals causing a short or corrosion breaking traces or component legs/pins. It's not like feeding a Gremlin... ;-) Could have even made for a good video :-) P.S. Take my sub + like
Noone that builds these mirrors talk about energy usage. The worst kind could be turned on 24/7 all year which with a 100W energy demand is more than 800kWh a year. When people waste energy the country you live in needs unnessecary powerplants and it takes longer to convert to renewable energy sources. You need to talk about energy saving modes.
great vid and how to! Love the mirror clips THANKS!!!
Thanks for watching!
You inspired me big time! Gonna put those all over my house now, thanks i gues hahaha

Do you have any thoughts on using two way film on a clear glass surface?

in the other video, he said that he can ask alexa to power on/off + it stop with schedule
Any chance you'd be able to let us know another source for the mirror? Its unavailable on amazon sadly. Thank you!
Would a super old 1080p lcd tv work or go with an led?
Which mirror did you use? the link you provided has three options, MirroView, Glass and MirroPane.
Can you put a camera there? Please answer
Really cool! Nice work!
Hey, it is possible to make this mirror touchable? I mean this two way mirror layer can pass our touch to screen?
Hey did you find any solution to this ?
@@shivanshmywhoosh Unfortunetly nope, i had to use a mouse. Layers did not pass touch to screen
Thank you for explaining and great job 👏
Have you done a video on combining an old tv and "screen busted" laptop? 👍✌🖖🥃
Thanks alot for the great vid...do you think pi3 can do the job or do i have to buy the pi4?

yep I once dragged home this tube tv that got rained on and let it sit for a while and it was fine after a week or so
Just needed some rice and some time 😉
Cool, but if you cut excuses about commenters it would be cooler )
do you build for others?
What Logo Module did you use?
"my panel" almost like my wife, and were have we heard that from? Hmmm Ned is back but he is making magic mirrors.
Very nice. I'm making one with a Jetson nano and a framed mirror from amazon.
Great work bro very nice
Wants to cut down on screen time = build more and larger screens in mirrors Lol
Stop using AMAZON, buy direct and support the suppliers.
Good video thanks
