Goma At Home: Filipino Style Picadillo

- Picadillo comes in different versions. Spain, Mexico and Philippines all have different ways of cooking this dish. And here in Goma At Home, we will make my version of Picadillo Soup.
This recipe is budget-friendly, comes together quickly, is hearty, and tasty. And it’s definitely comforting.
The ingredients for this are:
Doña Elena Pomace
Onion
Ground Pork
Garlic
Tomato
Water
Potatoes
Salt
Pepper
Don’t forget to use Doña Elena Olive Oil in your recipes!

I love this dish! I've made it with bone broth (instead of just water). When I sautee the pork, I add a little white wine to help get rid of the gaminess of the ground pork. I also add oregano for added flavor.
Wonderful! Very similar to my Lola's and Mom's picadillo. Imagining the hint of thyme in your Lola's version. Patis is also a good flavoring while sauteeing the meat. Thanks for this feature!

Yummy, I don’t know a lot of families that cook picadillo soup. Even restaurants don’t offer it.
But it’s our everyday dish as well in our family in Paranaque.
Our version is with the fruit Kamias! For making it sour.. but now I’m here in Australia. No kamias, so i use sinigang sampaloc mix . Just 2 tbsp

cong gawa ka naman ng spicy kalderetang kambing.. yan ang masarap cong hahaha..
Samin po kapag sinabing picadillo, labanos po un sahog na gulay. Parang ang sarap pong tumira sa bahay nyo, kahit cook lang ako, dami pwede lutuin hehehe. happy sunday po

My mÖm is an expert in PicadiLLo. This is one of our comfort food. ALso, arroz caLdo, pumpkin soup, moLo soup, soranghon soup, and arroz aLa cubana.
We onLy use white onion in PicadiLLo and never purpLe onion. Patis to taste Like Tentay or Thai fish sauce instead of sea saLt.
