    Some of our astute followers have noticed me slurring my words. I am not drunk but working with Brad, it would be justifiable. I had 6 infected cysts removed from my mouth (noncancerous) & I have residual scar tissue and numbness. I will try to do better. Thanks, Bob.

      They're "great?" They steal video content and thumbnail ideas from more small channels than you could possibly imagine, and they block and ignore said small channels when an inquiry is made. It's some pretty dishonest money.

    Good stuff from our favourite Bob and Brad. It is very important to note that knee pain does not always correlate with X-Ray findings. For example, You may have two equally active people of the same age and weight with the same X-Ray findings of moderate wear and tear knee osteoarthritis but one might experience severe pain while the other experiences little to no pain. Many other factors involved. Diet, strength training, mental stress, etc.

    • @dpstrial
      @dpstrial 3 года назад

      Osteoarthritis is the inability of the cartilage to repair rather than just simple wear and tear. It may be due to failed apoptosis leading to secondary necrosis, which is more an autoimmune condition.

    • @Better_Call_Raul
      @Better_Call_Raul 3 года назад

      @@dpstrial Simple wear and tear due to aging and repeated use is certainly ONE of the causes, and a very common cause -- probably the most common cause -- , which is why I specifically mentioned wear and tear and not autoimmune disorders.
      Not clear what your point is.
      Mayo Clinic:
      Osteoarthritis has often been referred to as a wear and tear disease. But besides the breakdown of cartilage, osteoarthritis affects the entire joint. It causes changes in the bone and deterioration of the connective tissues that hold the joint together and attach muscle to bone. It also causes inflammation of the joint lining.
      Risk factors
      Factors that can increase your risk of osteoarthritis include:
      Older age. The risk of osteoarthritis increases with age.
      Repeated stress on the joint. If your job or a sport you play places repetitive stress on a joint, that joint might eventually develop osteoarthritis.

    • @dpstrial
      @dpstrial 3 года назад

      @@Better_Call_Raul Of course osteoarthritis increases with age, the same as everything else; and athletes who put a lot of stress on their joints (or unequal stresses) and injure them can have joint issues later on in life because of the damage.
      Wear and tear does not explain why some people are riddled with arthritis in nearly every joint and can barely move, whereas others (like my late uncle, who died at 89) had none at all. This is why many scientists are questioning this simple and illogical explanation.

    I'm so excited to hear this because I'm 51 years old and I've never done any kind of exercise or practice any kind of sports in my entire life not even when I was in primary school. My knees hurt a lot and they make a noise like if I'm crushing eggshells when I'm walk up the stairs. Embarrassing and painful. A couple of orthopedic surgeons have told me that I need knee replacement. I hope I can find a different and better solution. I'm 107 lbs and I'd love to start exercising but I'm affraid to hurt them even further.

      What is the cause? Were you injured in an accident?

    • @jamesianv
      @jamesianv 3 года назад

      i suggest you do Starting Strength, I started at 67 no regents and a few good surprises one of which is less knee pain. the weights force synovial fluid into the joint. The joint has no blood flow so the fluid is needed for existence. also weights are safer than sports because the movements are controlled. also get a home gym you may feel too self conscious in a public gym. I think your a good example of how lack a movement is as bad as over doing it. start with the bob and brad McKenzie method. in 3 years you should be at least 120lbs and 140 if your male.

      @@Better_Call_Raul no I wasn't injured or anything like that. I never liked sports because I was very shy. As I got older my knees started to hurt more and more. I was told that the cartilage of my both knees is completely gone.

    You guys are extremely informative and so very helpful. I'll be subscribing and using your videos to help with my chronic pain, as well sharing them to those around me.
    That being said, I would like to suggest possibly modifying the intro slightly.
    As famous as you may be, it doesn't sound/ look good to call yourselves "the most famous", even if you do specify it's only in your opinion.
    I know you already have so many subscribers, but I feel like you could reach even more people if you made a slight adjustment to your intro.
    Instead of addressing your status, you guys should give a quick: why you do this. 😊
    From what little I've seen, it seems like you just want to help people who may not be able to reach a physical therapist not have to live their lives in constant pain.
    If that is the case, might I suggest something along the lines of: "Hi, we're Bob and Brad, 2 professional physical therapists who enjoy sharing the knowledge we've gained to help those suffering with pain. "
    I believe that simply subtracting the comment of fame will help your viewer count increase.
    Leave your status out, and put your motive in its place.
    I know there's a habit of using the first couple seconds of the video to determine whether you're going to watch the rest of it. I want your first couple seconds to keep people watching, they need to see the rest.
    Being completely honest, I almost backed out myself due to the intro because it kind of... annoyed me? The way it comes across in the intro almost sounds like fame would be the goal, when after watching the rest, I don't think that's true...
    Mentioning fame can seem vain or egotistical, and that's typically frowned upon, especially if you're someone in the public eye. When you're in the healing business, if you mention things having to do with your status, it makes the viewer/ patient feel like they're just another tally to you.
    You want your viewers to know you're genuinely here to help them feel better with methods that have been proven, and again tested by you.
    You have to introduce yourselves as people who aren't just saying things that will be accepted to get yourselves more views, but as people who are trying to get this information out to as many people as who may need it, regardless if your name becomes known or not.
    People want people who just want to see others succeed, without selfish gain.
    I know if I almost left for that reason, then there are people who DID leave for that reason.
    I want you guys to have nothing standing in your way from reaching as many people as possible, so you need to know that this may be something...
    Again, I very much appreciated and enjoyed the content I've seen so far, and am looking forward to more to come.
    You guys are slightly awkward and quirky, which is now understood and appreciated.
    Also, I love the dad jokes, it fits the teacher vibe.
    I know I'm lame for this, but one of the previous videos regarding migraines had some "prescription glasses" on a skeleton.... I shouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did.
    You guys have content people will enjoy, just get out of your bubbles and help show people why they wanna keep watching!! Let your jokes and any cynical comments come out, it's Okay, most people in pain appreciate it. 😅
    If you ended up reading this, especially this far, thank you for taking the time. I really hope that you consider some of what I said, and that it might help you guys in some way.
    You deserve help for putting yourselves out there to help everyone else, despite how hard that can sometimes be.
