    Yoruba people.
    1. Like that man said "They are liberal" they have the capacity to unite Nigeria if they want.
    2. They have so many educated people in terms of numbers. Most Yoruba people go abroad to study while most ... go abroad to trade.
    3. They value life.
    4. Many Yoruba are people of content. Although this is not good because it makes people settle for less
    5. Their culture is one of the best. it respects women and they have 100% equal rights with their male siblings.
    6. They respect people
    7. They are smart in making decisions. I have heard people say that Yoruba are hypocrites but they are not. They are good at politics.
    8. well cultured.
    9. You can find them in most big corporations in Nigeria at the top offices - these guys are very industrious.
    10. lastly: The PARTY ... Me I love their party o. Yoruba people are happy for nothing a time and can party for NIGERIA
    11. Yoruba people are the most prideful and appreciative of their culture, They do not copy anybody's culture in West Africa. Most tribes in Nigeria have appropriated Yoruba tradition and culture into theirs: for example, dressings AGBADA, GELE & FILA. also Money spraying.
Yoruba has well structured religious pantheon which explains how the world was created plus its spirituality and so many ancestors that help them preserve their culture.
I will love to see a video about Efik + Ibibio & Bini also. Nigerian media love to talk about 3 tribes and ignore the rest as if they don't matter.

I think the singing aspect depends on taste. The singing style tends to be somewhat loud, not as melodic, but more shaky or arabic sounding (like Fuji), or more like a monotonous call and response African pattern. I mainly like the dundun (talking drum). Most Yoruba church choruses are translated from Igbo. I don't think the singing is the main strength, but instead the drumming/instrument and partying.

1: they are not stingee in food at parties & their meat is always very big with enough rice and Amala unlike our own than can pass through your nose to mouth.
2: they don't have the mind to hurt you while angry, they will only shout and rant at the end they will say, afi omo Calabar le, cus they no that we don't have respect like them.
3: their women are hardworking, they don't depend on their men unlike our own that want to kill us before our time.
4: nah dis one sweet me pass; their female children have right to their fathers properties which it doesn't happen in my place....

I'm Yoruba AND I looooove the Igbos. My first 2 neighbors were Igbo. Papa Nonso & Mama Nonso's love for each other made a strong impression on me! I love how they come together at least once in a year to celebrate. I love the Enterprising spirit! I love the igbo language, music and food. I love the sense of responsibility/loyalty to family. You know that family first thingy. And of course the worldwide acclaimed Apprenticeship system, developed and practiced by the Igbos deserves to be studied and passed from generation to generation and to the uttermost part of the world.
Big ups to Genius TV for this wonderful initiative. I wish we can upscale it. God bless Nigeria.

There were urging him on. And i also on social media platforms, the way some of these folks speak ill of Yorubas is out of this world. And i am not saying some Yorubas don't dislike Ndi-Igbo because they do. But the tribal slurs that some of these scumbags often use on Yorubas, are out of this world. Especially on RUclips. Igbos didn't participate in the slave trades however, because Igbos practised a "democratic" but independent style of communal living with no central government, power or unifying elements where all the tribes within the Igbo race fought for a common course "Lack of Igbo nationhood", the Igbos at the peripheral were victims of kidnappers from foreign places. Also, within AlaIgbo, a sect of priestly tribe fell to corruption with monetary enticements from European slave traders, they took Igbos who came to their courts through dubious judgements and rituals and were sold. However, most were victims of kidnapping.

Also Yoruba weddings are very colourful and interesting - full of story telling. Respect wise, they are very good at kneeling down, laying down to greet etc. but can be quarrelsome and insulting when they want to be. Also I think they tend to be politically correct unlike some other people groups who tend to say things as they are and act according to their conviction no matter whose ox is gored. However, on a personal level, I have met several lovely Yoruba people who have been very kind and considerate. I wish them well xx
