This is such a lovely way to promote unity, not the silly propaganda they put out to divide us. we generally love ourselves so much without realizing it but with videos like this, some people will realize how much they love other tribes.

The funny thing is I tend to see Yorubas and Hausas as a collection of distinct-enough individual subgroups than conglomerate, composite ethnic groups but for the sake of simplicity they are what they are on the census (kinda) and listing them like-that only heightens ethnic diversity-awareness in Nigeria, which is good. I’m sure it’s a similar story in Ghana between Fontes (I think), Twis, Akans and the rest.

To all the Yoruba brothers and sisters reading this comment. I want to say a big thank you for showing much love to us the igbos. I have been saying this, if Yoruba and Igbo would join hands together, we would make Nigeria a better place. As an Igbo, I want to use this platform to say # Free Sowore Now!!) Why is our government holding Sowore? They don’t want the country to move forward and that is the reason they are stopping any young man / woman with a better vision on how to make our country great. #Free Sowore!!

Solu Chukwu All I am saying is that ethnic bashing and rivalry are immature attributes of any normal human being. There is no basis for dissemination of innuendos and falsehood based on perceived observations of a few disingenuous individuals. All human beings have the good, the bad and the ugly attributes. It is illogical and ignorant for any people group to claim to have the copyright of morality, intelligence or superiority over their fellow beings. This is the usual erroneous belief of the proponents of white supremacy and ethnic cleansing movements

To me,concerning sowore, the youth should intimidate the FG with protest. The same thing was done during namdi kanu arrest.
Presently protest is going on in Hong Kong and in Iran which have turn violent. The government of Iran increased the pump price by 200% and was greeted with violent protest. The problem with Nigeria is peacefu protest has been criminalised.

Adebisi Adeleke...thank you but how can you accommodate and give me (igbo Nigerian) a political post in my own country? Well pardon me, I thought as a nigerian I was entitled to live anywhere in Nigeria and hold political posts anywhere in Nigeria. Anyways thanks for the love. I will say that ignorance and tribalism are the biggest problem/ obstacle to Nigeria's success.
Afterall, Nigerians live and are involved in politics all over the world with no one claiming to be accommodating or giving them political posts in those countries. I was a councillor under the Labour party in the UK for 9 yrs! I won the election in my Ward 5 yrs after I migrated to England to join my husband ... and no, I was not a concillor in Peckam (where there are a lot of Nigerians) - my Ward is located in a part of London that consists mainly of white, jewish & asians - blacks are the minority. At no point did anyone tell me that I was a Nigerian immigrant or black. Instead, my constituents who voted for me looked at my credentials and my vision for them! And guess what I was in my mid 20s (the youngest councilor was 19yrs old and a Nigerian too!) when I became a councillor and held that post for 9rs until I resigned for family reasons. At no point was I told that I could not run because I was not 70 yrs old or that I did not originally come from UK and I did not have to make sacrifices to a shrine or give money to any so called 'king maker'. Please, please, let us kick tribalism out of Nigeria and politics as until we do so Nigeria will not make the type of progress that will propel it and its citizens into the 21st Century. Thanks

I am an Igbo. What I love about Yorubas:
    (1) Yorubas love and maintain their culture.
    (2) Yorubas love their language. A Yoruba who has PhD. will speak Yoruba language so well and deeply such that you will never know he/she had been to school. That is a very good thing. A Yoruba will have a conversation with another Yoruba ONLY in Yoruba language ( NEVER in English). That is a very good thing. We Igbos talk to our fellow Igbos in English and that is very bad.

Irresponsible politics and politicians on both side tells us to hate each other because of vote and money, meanwhile on the ground, we go to the same church, do business together , marry each other, same nightclub and play together. As a Yoruba man, let's get something straight. Education is not only about going to a 4 walled school. The igbos maintain a very versalitie and traditionally indoctrinated educational system of early introduction to business thereby eliminating high risks before they are ready for their on individual tasks. Hence they are always successful in most.
By the way, the igbos who chose the 4 walled education go all the way.
I fear a very educated business igbo man. He will sell you your own poo and you will thank him for the discount he offered you.
Culturally, I really wish they can do something about the ommission and relegation of women in property sharing.
Food. Hmmm. Can't even remember the last time I ate white garri. And ofeisalla and I are like twins. I gathered my Michelin tummy in Onitsha. Just after spending 8 months. Oha soup and co did the work to disfigure me and I no mind. From 6 packs to an AUNSEMENT PARK.
