In my humble opinion, a song reach masterpiece status when it becomes the conductor of emotions. You will have plenty of time to enjoy those song musically. But the way those song/video got us through a journey, is something that I rarely experience and I am totally amaze by it. Great video ! thank you and ill be waiting for Sun Eater
Hey Jeremy! A man a word, so I just binged your Pain Remains reaction just now. Glad you enjoyed it, and I get you when you say the lyrics and emotions take away from the music but... if you just 'spotify' it, you'll be more focused on what you hear, instead of the devastating video. It's just an awesome production that should have been awarded in some way if you ask me. So yeah, new subscriber here, haha! Myself, I'm a big Nightwish fan, discovered them in '03 and has been my favourite band up till now. Not to mention how I felt when in '13 Floor Jansen joined them, she had been the leadsinger of After Forever for way more than a decade before she joined NW. Floor grew up in a little village called Beegden, no more than 6 miles from where I live. So with a small metal community in the south east of the Netherlands everybody knew eachother somewhat or somehow. So yeah, I'm proud to tell you I enjoyed a few brewsky's with her (really) back in the day. I'm talking at least 25 or 26 years ago on a local metal event not far from here. So yeah, I really hope you keep exploring Nightwish, they just never dissapoint man. It's the first track of the Pain Remains album called 'Welcome back, o' Sleeping Dreamer', and it kicks ffing ass I tell you! I'll leave a link below.
