- Wondering how easy the Avid Pre-Runner Instal is. Well you definitely came to the right place. If there are any questions I didn’t cover in the video please don’t hesitate to ask. The instal was fairly simple being my first one took a few hours to do being I get in no hurry having to also record for you guys 😉. Hope y’all enjoy.

Thats awesome! Keep us updated on how the additional weight affects the front end sagging. Also real mpg numbers on your current setup. Love how avid has changed the game with all their BU products
Will do and so far my front is .25” sorter than the rear. MPG well has stayed the same for my set up at about 17.8. Always been like that for me though.
Do you know of any company that still makes aftermarket bumpers for he renegade? It looks like avid and motorcity aftermarket are out of stock on all jeep renegade parts.
awesome video! i did the Avid Radius bumper and took me about the same amount of time...i never did figure out what some of those parts were for either...i also have the same licence plate bracket...makes things so much easier!
One is a winch relocation bracket I’ll be doing when I install my winch again

I know for sure the Valkyrie skid plates will work on your compass
At the beginning there were a few parts that you didn’t know what they were for. Did you ever figure out what those parts were for?

Hey! Is that front skid plate the original on the TH? I'm in Colombia and getting the AVID's here is a pain in the wallet so I went with custom made one but I ripped the plastic skid plate that came with the car. I'm thinking about having one custom made as well.
No the front isn’t but the one under it is the oil pan one
Does the Limited version have a crash bar as well?

Hi I recently bought a jeep renegade with those bumper guards attached. Just curious how much do they cost and any idea what kind of metal it's made of?
Did this install put the radiator support on before taking off the crash bar then you avoid it moving on you.
I love your channel and mods to your Renegade. I plan on putting some 225/70r16s on my sport. I am stock height for now but plan to get either the daystar 1.5 or the AVID 2.5 lift. What size spacers did you use on yours?
I used 2”. But you’ll have to do the pinch seam mod if you go spacers with a tire that big for rubbing issues. It’s my newest video released go have a look. It will help a lot to get you spacer ready.
What brand and size tires do you have? I love the tread pattern and just lifted my jeep!
Any idea what the total net weight gain was after the install. Avid has the bumpers weight on their website, but not how much weight it actually adds to the renegade.
The weight of the product will be the weight it adds in the end
@@ChimichangaTv Damn. I was really hoping the 150 pounds on the website was the gross weight of the parts, not the net weight gain. Not sure I feel comfortable adding that much weight to my Renegade.
@@ChimichangaTv Your response regarding the Net Weight Gain is patently absurd, considering you literally made a video in which you removed the factory-installed front bumper in order to install the Avid Pre-Runner Front Bumper. Although made of plastic and other lighter materials than the Avid piece, I am certain that the factory bumper does in fact have mass, and therefore weight.
So, the Net Weight Gain is 150 lbs MINUS the weight of factory bumper.
In the future, simply admitting that you failed to weigh the factory bumper would be preferable to spreading disinformation.

Hey the opt7 headlight you had installed, how did you manage to keep your stock DRL ro light while the opt7 DRL lighted up at the same time. I thought only the opt7 x will light up since they replace the stock drl.
It’s a special wire harness they send with the lights

Have you had any problems with that radiator fan? Gone out? Any of your other friends as well? Just wondering. And how is the reliability on your renegade so far?
Yes it was an issue 2015 to some 2016 had. But overall it’s rock solid I’d say.
My radiator fan also went out at 44k miles on it. This also blew the 50amp fuse. I replaced it with same OEM fan. Now Jeep Renegade limited 2016 is fine. Its apparently a known issue.
Mine went out also at 30k miles a little stick broke it so watch what you run over in the road !
Can you help me out and let me know if the X bull 13000 winch will fit?
That winch is way overkill for the renegade. I believe the bumper can only hold up too 12,000lb

How much would you estimate I shop would charge to install this? Sadly I am not car savvy.
It honestly ranges. I personally charge $300 but I’ve seen shops go all the way up too $600 or more. Shop around is all I can recommend and find a good shop

It’s just an 1.5” lift and 225/65r17 wheels
would a dremel work for cutting the fender and bumper? I dont have a die grinder. but got a dremel!
Yes that will work fine

A jigsaw with a really fine blade will give you a better end result.
Do you have an install video for the opt7 headlights? Also would you recomend them?
Unfortunately I don’t but I have one over the Valkyrie light brackets. Which is basically the same. I’d personally go with the Valkyrie ones being the light options are endless with that bracket

Will the avid products fit the newer 2019 models?
Not sure. Since the trail hawk looks similar to the older design I’d think it should but I can’t say for certain
what size are your tire and wheels
Wheels are the factory 17” and the tires are 225/65r17 it’s the size I recommend most but you can go up too a 265/70r17 with heavy modifications. Such as a big lift, and 2” wheel spacers. But your suspension will start to fail sooner than intended if you go that route.

Did you upgrade your headlights?
Yes I did I was running the Opt7 ones. But Valkyrie Offroad has an adapter to install any wrangler headlight. I have a video on the channel.
Does the PreRunner work on the 1.4t?

Mopar Morphin Time Generally they are just for cosmetic appearance, but some, like my Renny, have it to symbolize the ToasterJeep online forum
Good stuff but that will make the Renegade very heavy. That will not make more than 15mpg. And with 11 gallons, you won't get far. I can't go more than 220 miles on my Trailhawk.
Those Europeans didn't design this jeep to be hill billy'd up. Lol

What wheel set up do you have? and do you have a lift kit on this as well?
I ran 225/65r17 personally with a 1.5” lift. But you can run 235/65r17 but there might be a slight rub. I did what’s called a pinch seam mod where you remove the inner fender and you’ll see the pinch seam and I cut that out which helped eliminate the rub.
