- The Amazing Spider-Man 2 coul have been an amazing movie no pun intended. There was a solid foundation to build on the darker Spider-man world from the first movie. A chance to build on relationships which I feel it does but not to the extent it could have if we didn't have to have all these set ups for movies that never happened. Anyways hope you all enjoy this video.

I always liked this movie.
I didn't really listen to the theme until two years ago now, but now this Hanz Zimmer theme is one of my favorite Spidey themes.
That ending to me is still one of the best.
I love Gwen and Peter's relationship in this movie. The scene where Peter tries to upgrade his webbing to fight Electric is one of my all time favorite superhero scenes because you see him trying to adapt.
Flaws in all I really enjoy this movie. Andrew is my favorite live action Spider-Man.
Both amazing Spider-Man movies got 2 things down perfectly. The swinging and the fighting. God I still remember when Spider-Man starts crawling around the lizard, webbing him up. Beautiful shit
I feel like Andrew Garfield gets way too much hate as Spiderman I thought he did a good job in roll especially in some the more emotional scenes in the movies.
I really appreciate this video. You point out its flaws, but you don't bash it like the internet for the past decade when, like you said, it really doesn't add much to do so. And TASM Gwen is my favorite love interest in any Spidey media because she just works in every way she was intended to and it helps Andrew's Spidey is the perfect adaptation of his personality, and she is able to get involved in the plot with it making perfect sense while also having consequences instead of forced or through being just a damsel in distress.

This movie is definitely a mess but it's still a guilty pleasure of mine and honestly Im not entirely ashamed to say that. Andrew Garfield is still my favourite live action Spiderman even though I love all three of them.
Andrew had better romantic scenes than Toby did.

Best Spider-Man movie and TASM 1 is the best Spider-Man movie it has the best Peter Parker
Peter was trying not to fumble Gwen so bad in this movie😂, side note excellent video which helps puts this movie into a curtain perspective that others and me couldn’t see, this series is the only one where I wanted Peter to get a good ending with Gwen and the movie amazingly portrayes the consequences to being spider man.
I don't like the Gwen and Peter romance in these movies personally, and I felt that the way they depicted Spider-Man's quippy nature came off as more annoying to the audience because they make his quips interfere with him stopping crime.
Like he does quip while taking out bad guys to distract them and get the upper hand, hanging off the side of the truck and letting the driver still cause chaos when he can very easily stop it is genuinely pretty bad characterization for him.
Spider-Man disarms those kind of situations while making jokes, he shouldn't be letting it go on or intentionally escalate it by goofing off.
It makes him come off as more of an unlikeable jackass than someone being a smart ass to people we don't like.
Still like the movie. And harry should never have become the goblin in the movie. Just set it up for movie 3.
I was at least believing they were friends and it would be nice if the movie was just them being friends with some fallout near the end.

Ya know what I'll never understand? How a guy named Webb managed to mess up a Spiderman movie...
Also, is it just me or does Garfield always look like he's zoned out or high in these movies?
Blame Sony for screwing everything, if you look at the cut scenes from TASM 1 they really fleshed out characters like Connors and him a lot more interesting and sympathetic. Sony just wanted to jump-start their own Spider-Man cinematic universe but fucked up by shoving all these messy plot lines into TASM 2 and ruined the movie as well by taking away a lot of its darker moments. Screw Sony. Ruined something that had a great potential to be the best Spider-Man stuff ever put to screen. One little thing to add, even Kevin Feige himself gave a ton of criticism to the overall script and movie before its release and gave Sony pointers on how to fix those problems and they didn't listen. They did all of this to themselves.

I definitely agree with your points here. It definitely is not the best, but enjoyable? For a Spiderman movie and a Hero movie, it is for its strengths.
The romance aspect between those two is what actually got me to watch the movie twice after my first watch few days prior. Followed by the bizarre Harry and Electro being somewhat interesting. It just didn't as well when compared to Pete's and Gwen's relationship.
Especially that death scene. My little boi head was coping hard back then that she's just unconscious. But yeah, it's a Spiderman film, so he got his canon event real hard after all that development between them.

Bashing the Raimi films to make the TASM films look better isn't smart. Also the Rami films are objectively better in nearly every way vs TASM, and that comes from someone who does like TASM a good amount.

@@thegreatacolyt1277 You should re-watch the scenes of Tobey talking to Aunt May in her house telling her the truth of Uncle Ben's death and also when he visits her when she's moving out of her house because of her eviction, also what about Spider-Man 2 is bloated? That would go to Spider-Man 3.

I loved this movie and still do. Does it have it flaws yes major ones, but I still absolutely love this movie. The cast acting, the soundtrack and the action are great.
