I bought a cobalt that I believe has this kit. However, it suddenly stopped working completely. The buttons don’t do anything and the windows are currently all the way down. Is there a fuse location I should know about to see if I just need to replace a fuse?
Hey Alex, it’ll depend on how they wired up the windows. It’s possible they tapped into a circuit like the radio circuit, but it would be clear if the radio didn’t work. The better approach would be using a piggy back fuse tap, so if you open up the fuse box and see a fuse with a red wire coming off of it, it could be that. The wiring goes through the center of the car from door to door (there is a small hole with rubber gasket in each door for the wires to go through). Worst case you would need to remove the doors to check if the wiring got pinched or was damaged anywhere. Removing the door is pretty straight forward and just requires removing the screws along the bottom, one or two in the door arm rest slot, and one behind where the door handle is, behind a plastic cover. Then remove the window adjustment piece and pull up on the inside of the door (being careful with the window lock pole, since it has to come up and over top of it). Let me know if you need any more help. Luckily these cars are pretty easy to work on inside of the dash area. My other car is a BMW 328 and it’s quite frustrating to do anything inside the dash by comparison.
@@ZVSMedia yeah radio works fine. I noticed the front speakers don’t work at all though. But then again they didn’t when the windows worked so yeah idk. I gotta do some digging.
I wonder if I can use a power window door card and wire this up to it.

Will this work the same way on my sedan
It should be a similar process for the sedan, but you will need the 4 window pack.
Where did you run them to?
Hello, I ran them to the radio circuit. Probably better to fuse them separately, but I still have them running today and no issues.
