- The Battle of Arkology was a massive confrontation between the World Ship and the crew of the Andromeda Ascendant defending the pacificist orbital colony, Arkology.

That's one of the immersion breaking things in this show:
They are on a warship - even the flagship.
They had thousands of androids.
They have a advanced A.I. Co trolling the entire ship.
And none of them showed up with a blaster to repel invaders?
Or even better - 3m tall, specialized war robots like in Perry Rhodan. 😅
Yeah, it really annoyed me that every single time they were boarded, it's as if the crew and all the androids themselves never bothered putting up much of a fight, especially considering that every single hallway on this ship was fitted with defensive weaponry. Sure, the Magog will eventually overwhelm the crew and all it's defences through sheer numbers but with how fortified such a ship would be, they would be climbing over mountains of their own dead to do so.
It would take hours for them to overwhelm a ship like that, probably longer since they would have to cut through multiple bulkheads that were closed to shut off areas of the ship.
this is problem with many shows. Sometimes only few members of cew is fighting

if they had left things at that (without a fifth season) it would've closed the circle where Hewitt Wolfe wrote his CODA - a reset that gave the lucifers (suns like Trance) their next shot at getting things right

Having never watched Andromeda I must say this is extremely confusing. A few cool concepts mixed with what appears to be quite...Questionable...Writing.
Is that the end of the show? They seem pretty casual with the idea of everyone dying except for Sorbo's character.
The show got quite confusing at times tbh. They often introduced concepts that were never really explained clearly or in detail. They did another season after this one so it wasn't the end of the show.
You really have to watch the series from the beginning to understand what you've just seen. Just what's so special about this huge structure, who the evil soldiers are, what the woman with the tree actually is, etc. It's not even certain that everyone will die. The whole series plays with the concept of time and reality. I didn't think it was bad, but you really have to stick with it.
@percebob it was the end of Season 4 and the lead in to Season 5.
Magog? Something tells me renowned Bible Thumper Kevin Sorbo had a hand in the naming...
