I love that you went with the weirdness and funnies, the fun of music-- and also at the same time, gave a terrific and useful vocal workout! All you need is a piano!

Another winner-winner warm-up, Kathleen. Really appreciate how you explain the purpose of each exercise and cues to sense when doing each one. I could literally hear and feel my break smoothing out during the course of doing these. Thanks!

I LOVE you and your sense of humour. My late singing partner would have loved you too. We were known to do some slightly outrageous things by times. I haven't cackled so loud in a very very long time. The exercises were great too!

This is helping me a great deal with a song we are currently working on where I really struggle with the vocal breaks!

Here I am, back again for the Choir season. A bit better than last year, I think.

Hi Kathleen, Hello form Edinburgh. Please could you do a warm up to help with singing very high notes without tensing up the throat muscles. Thank you.

I saw another video where a woman had us go into our “vocal fry” and have that raspy throat sound be a part of the warm up. I’m wondering if you have any thoughts on that- she said that it makes the vocal cords vibrate subtly- giving them strength (I’m paraphrasing) I notice you don’t seem to do that in your videos (haven’t watched them all yet) I’m really fighting the dryness and raspiness due to perimenopause- and I’m just wondering your thoughts on this. I don’t want to make it worse

I find vocal fry to be relaxing when used briefly. It think the trouble comes in when people use it habitually while speaking. It's not harmful when done once in a while. Keep at it! Oh also... Have you seen this one yet?
