I work at a large hardware store.
I had a coworker who was conceited, arrogant, and just acted as though he could do what he wanted. He often got away with doing shit he shouldn't.
He would very unprofessionally walk around with AirPods in his ears. I warned him that they fire people for that. Especially if you can't hear what a customer is saying and they get pissed and complain.
He claimed that'll never happen to him because he's too smart to get caught.
Low and behold, a customer comes up to him asking for help on something, he doesn't even look the other way because he couldn't hear them. The customer is pissed and comes up to me demanding to speak to a manger about him. I go get my boss. An hour later he was walked out. Meaning he was fired.

Used to work with juvenile delinquents. There was this woman that was CLEARLY a groomer. No matter how often we reported her, she would just be moved to different areas, but still working with the kids. She would act inappropriate even in front of the higher-ups. It took MONTHS before they finally fired her.

    • @Cocoa.Tresbelle

What did she do or say b the made her a groomer and why cant u report it to protect the kids?

    • @JC-lq3md

@@Cocoa.Tresbelle We reported her EVERY DAY! But the managers ignored us. The most that they did was move her to a different group of kids when SHE KISSED ONE GIRL ON THE CHEEK! They moved her to "work" with a group of boys. There was one boy in particular that she kept trying to speak secretly with. It was obvious she was trying to get him alone with her, (we didn't take our eyes off her, but she still kept trying). She'd try to whisper stuff to him. It wasn't till it was discovered that she stole the kids journal that they finally fired her and got the cops involved. This place was beyond fucked up. I heard they have better management now, but I still don't trust the place. This was about 5-6 years ago. (Watkin's Mill Park Camp in Lawson, Missouri if you're interested).

Fired my old supervisor when I got a promotion to the HR department. I knew she would regularly receive a direct call from her friend and act like she was on a customer call to avoid doing work and handling genuine elevated/complaint calls. Knowing she'd try to make it seem like I had a petty vendetta, I forwarded a copy of one of her calls to the HR director. When he realized she was on a personal call for 4 hours and didn't take a single work call, he authorized me to fire her.

Pathological liar, constantly disappears for 20 minutes at a time, then asks to take smoke breaks, flirts with management (except not the female members), overshares about her life, and constantly comes in late and calls in. My theory is that she’s only still working there because she’s sleeping with management

The worst worker I dealt with was one from Taco Bell. She would complain that everyone sucked at their job and would get pretty angry if I wasn't smiling ( for whatever reason). But the icing on the cake was when she somehow found out that I was getting a raise. She basically flipped her lid and reported me to HR and told them all the reasons why I shouldn't receive a 50 cent raise.

“It’s the last resort of a man with no skills. Pull the race card.”
My husband is a training manager with a 98% pass rating, meaning almost all of the people he trains make no/little mistakes after he’s done with them. He’s only had to retrain maybe 5 people in the 9 years he’s been there and they send other ppls trainees to him to retrain. He’s never had a complaint.. until this asshole trainee he had pre-lockdown.
We live in the south, we’re white, a majority of the people he works with and trains are black. It’s a call center type job so they have very strict break rules and clock in/clock out policy, but they get multiple 5 minute breaks a day instead of the normal two 15 minutes and as long as you don’t abuse it managers are chill if you’re a little late getting back. Well this one guy he was training was constantly late clocking in and would take longer and longer breaks till one day he went on break an hour before close and didn’t come back.
My husband gave him a few verbal warnings and tried to work with him in case this was medical or something, but finally had to write him up. Trainee went to HR and accused my husband of racism and said hubs called him the N word while writing him up. He wants my husband fired or he’ll sue. My husband calls my office (I wasn’t allowed to have phones on the work floor) to talk to me and is near tears cuz he’s terrified the company will let him go to avoid a lawsuit and us being younger (mid 20’s) we were very aware of companies allowing employees to burn to save face.
Well, HR and other managers don’t let that happen. They review other trainees who say they’ve never had an issue with my husband, pull security and audio of when the write up happened and hear no mention of the N word, pull up this trainees disapline record showing he has reason to falsely accuse my husband, and finally called the guy in with all the evidence and tell him they won’t be firing my husband but they can reassign him to another trainer in another store.
Guy blows up, calls the HR lady a racist (she’s black, I’ve met her when I drop things off for hubs), and storms out still threatening to sue. They never heard from him again and he was fired for job abandonment. I hope he could only find fast food work after what he put my husmand through.

Had a co-worker at my last job who decided she was in charge of several department functions including training all new department employees. Management let her get away with since it made their jobs easier. Problem is co-worker took miniscule amount of authority and tried to push her considerable weight around. When the actual assistant manager position opened up boss and bosses boss were told by no less than the entire department of she was allowed to get the job everyone would be quitting soon after. She was not promoted.

I worked in a kitchen at a nursing home and this new dishwasher wouldn't wash the dishes right. I'm a dietary aide so I can't even start my job of preparing side dishes until bowls are clean. He would put bowls with smears of cake from lunch on the rack with clean dishes. He was also caught throwing silverware and plates into the garbage. He must've been high as hell.

He was in the special forces, he was a karate master and that his hands were registered weapons, he beat up Bruce Lee at a tournament once and also Chuck Norris, he was so good at basketball in highschool that other teams would forefit just because he was playing, he was a 3 time national champion in bowling. I've had many, but two were champions.
One has a thief, made copies of the lockers' keys and stole money and lipstick and stuff from our bags. Whatever was in the fridge was game too. When I realized that, she had already stolen around $300 from me. I never confronted her, talked to my supervisor tactfully and she talked to the boss. He paid me back the 300, but he made it clear that he thought I was lying to get an extra that month. I was appalled. She had thrown a fit denying everything and she was the boss' "trusted employee" (he had just bought the business and had brought her along, I was the old employee that came along with the company). I got so angry at being considered dishonest that I ended up leaving soon after. Years later, she got caught embezzling money from the business. I don't pity my boss, the writing was on the wall.
Still work with the other one, even though not in the same unit, thank God. Crazy envious bitch, sabotages and stalks everyone who stands out minimally instead of her (which is not very difficult, as she is unqualified and dumb). Turned a work trip into a complete hell, I was a nervous wreck by the end of it, trying to make me quit the job. I was resilient, but she stalked and tried everything she could for months to get me fired or to quit. Only stopped when I threatened to sue her and the company for protecting her (one of the bosses was "very friendly" with her). Nowadays that boss doesn't work there anymore and she has calmed down towards me. Still crazy, though, tries to be sweet and nice to me, but I avoid her at all costs.

A young guy at a deli activity told people that he was better than them but initially thought we were two of a kind. He screamed at one customer for speaking Spanish. He was sent home for insulting some lesbian customers. He punched the wall in the manager’s office, stormed into the parking lot and started screaming. Customers said there was a crazy person outside. Management told us twice to call the police if he came back. After he left he called the department multiple times making huge fried chicken orders. People were actually afraid of him.

Re: Gay guy who complained to HR for every normal task anyone at any job is expected to do. I once had to go to a meeting with the head of a TV network Legal and HR and out myself to save two producers whom I had known and worked for for years. I had NEVER heard either of them make a homophobic comment or any of the other crap this lying little screw up had accused them of. I simply walked into the room where this meeting was going on, they looked shocked and I said, "I'm terribly sorry to interrupt this meeting, but this is a drumhead court martial. I AM Gay and I've known both these men for over 10 years. Little Screw Up, screwed up this entire job, lied to all of us regarding the material we had license to use, has been rightly terminated for never doing his job and I ASSURE you he is lying about these two gentlemen. And yes, here I have already written a statement and will do anything else necessary to shut down this situation. Thank you." NEITHER of them, both of them my immediate bosses had NEVER known I was gay and I never advertised it. But I outted myself gladly to help them. My BFF boss was stunned, and it just made us closer friends. One day flowers showed up for me from our Executive producer, with a simple 'Thank You!" And yes, I did have to go to the main office, repeat myself while Screw Up sat there also looking shocked, wearing my high heels and my best lipstick. I have known my partner/spouse for 40 years.

But after I'd organise time for her to go out of the room and do said paperwork she would always refuse saying but it was her turn for nappy changing which I know isnt the worst thing in the world but even when i said dont worry about it we'll sort it out she would go ahead and do it -then she would panic and moan that she had no time to her paperwork 🙄 afterwards even when I would change rotas around for paper work she would panic and say but she had to this or that wasting time 😅😅. Not the worst but bloomin annoying lol
Another coworker I have worked with undermines me with the children it's so frustrating after I've told a child off for not doing as they're told she would go over and cuddle them if theyve started crying when I would tell her why they're crying she would make excuses for them like they're tired/hungry/thirsty etc... 😅 xx

I was training with her so I went into my bosses office and asked her how to look something up in the system my manager turns around with a straight face and says I don’t know how to use it. I couldn’t believe it my coworker has been doing all of her work which was a total violation of multiple government contracts it was crazy about a week later she literally lost her mind still up on the table and started ranting and raving I won’t go into a lot of details but she was carried out and she was sent to work in our online store which is where the company sent people who they technically could fire but had to get rid of. Fortunately I ended up working under her years later she was still nuts. I had a very untidy office desk but I at least kept all my stuff on it and nowhere else. “John” is assigned next to me and our desks are very close. He’s 10 times more untidy than me and his &#€§ing work simply flowed from his desk onto mine. I literally built a wall between us to stop his paperwork burying mine. Problem solved? Well, no. If he couldn’t find something on his desk, he’d search mine for it because ... wait for it ... because my desk was neater and if the paperwork existed it was easier to search my desk first. I’m very territorial about my desk and threatened to kill him if he at least didn’t search his desk first.
Management had a plan to save space with “hot desking” i.e. no one had an official desk. I killed off this stupid idea by suggesting John’s work would end up on everyone’s desks ... Management then decided that perhaps it was better to localise the problem. I was told to “take one for the team” ... and the idea of “hot desking” quietly got shelved.
I almost forgot ... in an office that was supposed to be computerised and paperless “John” was addicted to voluminous printed paper reports on the most obscure topics as in “... Is my 700 page report code 616A on your desk?” Me: “It’s where you last left it, under reports 98D, 106, and 213A to D.” Etc. Etc. and PTSS or whatever the stress syndrome caused by workmates is.

My best guess would be people that are either annoyed by the voice, the repetition of stories across several channels, the jarring refusal to stick to a coherent way to present the stories, sometimes being single lines of text, other times being multiple paragraphs at once, but it's anyones' guess really.

The ableist one where they’re mad she has allergies and celiac is ridiculous. Y’all cry when disabled people “sit home all day” and you want us to “DO SOMETHING!” so we work then y’all mad we are not 100% at work because we are DISABLED.
So pick a lane, do you want us to do something and have a job, or do you want us to not take the job if we can’t do it 100%?
Seems like a lot of y’all just want to be mean to disabled people
