Worked in the Canadian Film industry for the past 7 years, I’ve worked with some freaking monsters (Cast and Producers) but the sexual harassment and bullying are what lead me to finally leave the industry. This happened when I was 22, very new to the industry and didn’t have the experience to understand how fucked up the situation was. I was walking to set costumes in the cast trailers that morning and a producer pulled me aside. He gave me a rundown on the lead actor and told me to never be alone with him in his trailer because, and I quote “you’re his type, a hot little piece of ass.” I was completely creeped out and disgusted by the producers comments. More than once while clearing the actor would come onto the Wardrobe truck to “see how I was doing” and if I was alone in his trailer clearing costumes he’d attempt to come back in “to see if he missed anything”. I was VERY thankful the Transport captain gave me the scariest guy to standby whenever I needed to go in a month into shooting. Edit: NEVER will I work for Disney again. I did 2 separate movies and a TV show, left the TV show because of how many child labor laws they broke and reported it. Was never used and abused more than while working on Disney movies, only actor to EVER make me cry while on set was a Disney channel star. She was the worst and it grosses me out to see young girls still idolizing such a bully.

my BF has a masters in music producing from berklee - realized in the first 2 years he couldn't work in the industry, taking advantage of a young person's dreams, milling out whatever $ the production/recording co. could without caring where the artists ended up in the long run. he quit when he reported a higher up for basically seggual asslt against more than one intern, and was essentially told to keep quiet or get fired. I worked with kids' programs and one fellow went to Hollywood after finishing college. That one with the guy from Minnesota pitching his kids movie idea pissed me off so much for some reason. Not even giving the person a chance to explain their premise is already bad enough; why can’t these producers say “no thank you, we’re not interested” like a polite person, instead of being a smug asshole about it and making some idiotic pun like they think they’re clever and funny for it? But I guess I shouldn’t expect common human decency from Hollywood.

@mrconfusion87 He was quite aware of the fact that without an audience/tans, he’d never have gotten to where he was and all that he’d achieved. When I waited on him the first time, I was the new employee. He requested to my manager that he meet every new employee. He was a peer when I met him and didn’t shake hands but greeted you with a smile. A genuine smile. Not his on-screen smile that was more of a smirk. A *real* smile. Expressive eyebrows and wide eyed. I worked briefly in non union film production (mostly indie, low budget and ads) and the most appalling thing that still persists in that industry is just how little people sleep between production days. Im mostly referring to the crew like PAs, grips and electricians. There’s something called a “double dip” which means a day player will work two production day shift back to back. That’s usually a 12-18 hour day. Sometimes more. PAs, G and E’s are on set from first call time to wrap. Ass busters. Not going to sit here and say drugs weren’t involved.

Just wanted to emphasize just how good people are at writing very detailed and intricate stories that sound real but are completely made up, never underestimate a person's ability to craft a very believable and convincing lie usually using things that are true and really happened to back up other parts that are completely made up
Not saying that they're all lies just assume that anything you see written by an anonymous person that can't be verified is made up. Just take it as entertaining stories and that if they happen to be true that's great but never assume that something is true without it being verifiable.
But movies are completely made up, if a movie says based on a true story it is all but a guarantee it is almost entirely fabricated and they shouldn't have to say it is based on a true story if a biopic etc

So here my fucked up story. I was a bit of a drug addict in my mid 20 and basically went from hook up to hook in the gay community to get my fix and mess around. One time I went to a nice place in Korea town south of Hollywood. Dude lived high up in the fancy places there. By the time I got there I was high strung and ready to do the deeds. Instead we just did drugs and talked, allot. Turns out this guy works for some gay media thing and basically runs it along side a few others. Showed me a music video he produced. Idk where and why but he ended up telling me that the reason why the gays when promoted is always a thin muscular white boy. It’s cuz we, the gays, find it the most appealing. In my head I’m like yeah kinda obv but then he goes further saying that people like him prevent the growth of curtain types of gays getting popular in the music industry and media. That they want to promote the sex selling ones and have the heart felt ones more stay indie on their own in LA which can’t work out often. That they convince gays with sex and drugs to just sign papers and do what they are told basically close to being hookers. On a side note if your gay and got money all the gogo dancer in the West Hollywood area are actually hookers so just find out how to rent one for awhile. They closed down one place a few times with one time being that they got found out that they were pimping out the dancers and pushing drug sales in the bathroom.

"Most tend to be so conceited that you can take a long-butt elevator ride to the top of their ego, jump off it while singing a full Eminem album before you reach the bottom."
THIS wins Reddit today!

my BF has a masters in music producing from berklee - realized in the first 2 years he couldn't work in the industry, taking advantage of a young person's dreams, milling out whatever $ the production/recording co. could without caring where the artists ended up in the long run. he quit when he reported a higher up for basically seggual asslt against more than one intern, and was essentially told to keep quiet or get fired. The interns were generally there as a program toward becoming artists. He now ghost writes, mentors and produces independently but is still under an NDA so, can't say much more than that. It's not Hollywood, but it's adjacent enough to mention.
The devil was a musician that got kicked out of heaven and ever since with the illuminati and freemasons they have been taking advantage on this earth and in this realm for evil to compromise the after life in the spirit one.
What he loved from a purist standpoint towards the complacency of a composition and all the people involved is thus corrupted and infiltrated by evil. Usually it is people with no morals so they become myopic and only think of money, not everything that makes someone great, they are all those that failed that just wanna make money at the expense of those greater than that.
It’s really gross how these ppl are involved in illegal actions just by watching but will put it off on others. You are ALL responsible.
I’m surprised no one mentions the controversy around Brooke Shields.
You’re the first I’ve heard of it. What happened?
@@QuartuvLarry WOW you don't know? Google is your friend. Too long to tell.
@@QuartuvLarry she was in playboy at a young age like 11. If im not mistaking she also did adult movies when that young too
@@realamericannegro977 Adult films... Brooke Shields? In a couple of words No Way. Her mother may have been the ultimate stage mother (and yes Brooke had the one nude photo shoot at age 11 or 12) but you don't groom your kid to be a star by doing porn. Shields herself is highly intelligent (alumni of Princeton) and has done well for herself as an author and actress.
iv heard others mention this as rumors,i knew she was a model and highly prized by hollywood, but adult movies iv not heard of and ,there was no bashlash for it ?
So much of what was said here helps us "outsiders" understand why Alec Baldwin's stupidity occurred with firearms. I worked with kids' programs and one fellow went to Hollywood after finishing college. He was writing scripts as I understand it, and he was such a nice, quiet fellow (as are his parents and sister) that I wonder how Hollywood will treat him and what he'll be like as a result. Sounds like the entire industry is like a human tree chipper.
My nephew has the music gene like I stopped after I'm sure he figured it out himself, he has a feminist gf who identifies as non binary that wants to be a screenwriter, he's already been sexually harassed by a male predator i feel for him and pray nothing happens.
So basically…no positive or redeeming qualities of anyone or anything in Hollywood
I figured as much
Plus the Lies, murderers, big Mafia, names: Rudolph Valentino death, Cielo Drive, and much more.
yea i hate hollywood and everything about it as well as the music industry...
Worked on a B sci-fi film years ago, nice crew but I realized from that experience I never want to work in film again. It wasn't a bad experience but I realized during the process it was not a field for me.
Film, TV, media is NOT for everyone. There are many scumbags & 2 faced a holes. Many people raise funds 💲 for low budget or direct to video, streaming then take a cut of the funds. They don't give 2 💩 about the series or films. They just want $. Be ready to deal with rejection and some brash, d%=÷ holes.
I worked with a actor from MN who did work on a Asylum-SyFy film, 2013 era. He told me the prodco had 17, 17 😳 1ADs(asst director). I've seen crazy sets, mania.
so its not the crew or cast that are the problem? is it the producers and directors?
So you're just.... telling a personal story? It doesn't have anything to do with the video, just "not a fan of film" 😂 ok, main character
They want everyone to care about fabricated bullshit as much as there inflated egos do so they can have power and stay in it
I believe the one about Adi Shankar…. I looked him up bc I saw him in a documentary on Netflix bc I have never heard of him. He is listed as producer but he just seemed to have appeared out of thin air.
Then city of fallen angels. The occult is deep in the industry.
Lived and worked in the service industry in the resort town Palm Springs, California. I met some horrible people, but also kind ones. The most famous I met was Bob Hope. He was one of the kind ones. If want details, I’ll ask. (I don’t want to post a mini essay if no one is interested.)
How did Bob Hope stand out as "one of the kind ones" if I may ask? Thanks.
Sorry if I wrote too much.
Hollywood is overrated any way.
If you think it’s not possible, in Hollywood, it is.
When art becomes business only, no wonder the movies are beyond dull.
The Girl from Poltergeist, what happened to her, the way she's go on.

If I ever become a moviemaker, I would specialize in movies on obscure WW2 stories plus some semi-famous ones that deserve a movie, like corporal Wojtek the bear, Elephant company in Burma, and more
what about "Operation dumdo drop" i felt that was all the elephants in war I ever want to see
Just wanted to emphasize just how good people are at writing very detailed and intricate stories that sound real but are completely made up, never underestimate a person's ability to craft a very believable and convincing lie usually using things that are true and really happened to back up other parts that are completely made up
Not saying that they're all lies just assume that anything you see written by an anonymous person that can't be verified is made up.
My uncle was in charge of making sure props for tv shows were kept on set apparently people would steal the tv show furniture and props and a bunch of random things. Apparently they still almost a million dollars of equipment from the studio . Apparently the producers were mean and most of them are sexist ,racist and pretty much crude people.he said it was to stressful he decided to retire early because Hollywood and production company are tiring and he rather be retired now .
20:45 sounds like the star was Jenni Rivera - she was an absolute doll of a person

Ugh, so many of these are infuriating.
These fake computer voice narrators are almost as bad as these Hollywood deviants.
Regarding the accidental stabbing with an actual knife instead of a pro: it sounds like the incident on the Rust set, and the death of Brandon Lee. There was also the time Kurt Russell smashed a priceless antique guitar on the set of Hateful Eight, thinking it was a prop.
Love the AD going "not my problem" after his incompetence halted production.
This is why I rarely go to the movies anymore. Everyone involved in filmmaking is sleazy as hell.
The stabbing scene was one of the worst.
Well all of these people are gonna be found and suddenly disappear
The dry cleaner one was wild. He offered him money, drugs then a beegee to remove blood from his suit 😳
The Bentley twins are now pleasantly plump and seem much happier.

I watched George Cloony force an intern to drink a 2 gallon bucket of hot bloody spicy infectious diarrhea
when?
@@stella-vu8vh I was a production assistant on the set of oceans 11 in 2000. Him and his friends were sick from eating tainted Chinese food so they all defecated into a recycling bucket then cornered some set lighting intern and forced him to drink it. They forced him to get naked first and put on a woman's wig and lipstick. They all gave him their autographs after he did it so that was pretty cool of them.

He played “Animal Mother” in full metal jacket. He’s not related to the other Baldwins

If anyone needs an example of this watch the original Mad Max. They had no permits to do anything, no real professional stuntmen or crew. The big finale crash involving a big rig... is just done by some long-haul truck driver that had a rig. Theres a part where an extra gets hit with a motorcycle in the head.. it was not planned and it's in the final movie 😂
Unions might not stop these abhorrent practices outright, but it sure would put a serious dent in anyone trying to illegally exploit people for their insane selfish gains.
Almost everything in Hollywood is unionized
Im sure this is gonna be a Trainwreck
Been an assistant editor for 7 years. Worked on something like 25 shows. Never had a bad experience or saw anything shady.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure you could find horror stories about ANY line of work, and the people involved in it. For example, I'm a teacher....wanna hear some crazy shit about creepy janitors, tyrannical principals, INSANE parents, and overly emotional 13 year old?!?! Well oh boy, have I got some good news for you!!!!
Really? 🤔 I've done set security, extra work, some PA-set work. I've seen well run shows, productions. I've seen scumbags, unsafe sets, actors who were dirty 🤦🏻♂️, drunk. Producers who stole $$$ lied about budgets.
I guess like all things in life, is that you get lucky and things are always 50/50. Try living in the ghetto, speaking from experience it wasnt that bad but to friends it sucked and was also not that bad.
