    Thanks to Bryan, I was brave enough to change my own coils and other engine DIYs on my f30 years ago. Such a legend and saved hundreds

      Yup I did the ps2 on my f30 myself thanks to Bryan's videos

    if you put the engine cover down into the left side grommets first, then the right, its almost always a exact fit without any clipping on the oil fill cap.

    I recommend getting Precision Raceworks Coils over the OEM coils. I got mine installed on my N55 F30 👍🏼

      I’ve considered them for a couple years but can’t see the benefit for me since I’m running a stock turbo and don’t have any plans to upgrade my turbo. Do you have a stock turbo? If so, did you see any improvement over Bosch/Delphi coils?

    Good catch, I highly recommend doing plugs and coils at the same time. Avoid troubleshooting headaches down the road. Unrelated but can confirm its the exact same process for the F22 M235i.

    • @aihampaul9590
      @aihampaul9590 3 года назад

      It’s recommended at 50k miles if stock. So 72k km is about time.

    🙏Very useful video!!!!
    I just want to ask about DINAN IGNITION COIL (N SERIES STYLE), cuz some technicians says DINAN IGNITION COIL (N SERIES STYLE) is way too good to use on stock cars, the reason why is DINAN IGNITION COIL has less resistance inside, so it has more 10% more energy output than stock, and also may damage some electronic parts. Or it has less resistance, so electric power will come back to ECU, and damage it.
    And Im looking for daily and safe driving, but now I'm hesitate to place an order. I'm not sure what they said is truth or not, did you get any feedbacks like this? Damaged ECU? Damaged spark plugs? Or something like that?
    What do you think about Dinan ignition coil? Would you change it??
    Thank you

    Hey Brian. Any reason as to why you don’t put dielectric grease in the coil pack rubber insulator? Just curious if you know of any reason not to. It just a normal thing I’ve done on my motorcycles and American cars. I now have a F32 N55. Wanted to know if there’s preference or functionality issues with said grease? Thanks

      Not necessary anymore, and it can actually stop the coil from getting fully secured on the plug. With grease the boot just pops right off. BMW doesn’t use it either.

      I’ve used dielectric grease on my tuned n55 and it never saw any problems. After watching this and reading what Axis 527 said, you’re probably fine either way, as long as you don’t go overboard with the grease, I used very little.
