Happy Halloween everyone!
Here's the MAP that we've all been working hard on for a few months, and we were able to finish it for Halloween so that's always positive :^)
The idea of this MAP is to address the creepiness of Ashfur, how he remained in the dark, antagonizing everyone Squirrelflight loves; an unknown threat that Squirrelflight could sense long ago, but never knew who or what it was.

The idea of Squirrelflight being kinda haunted by Ashfur is such a cool concept. The palette is sooo pretty! Everyone did such a good job!

I just absolutely love, how they actually don’t put “aShFuR VrS bRamBlEcLaW” because its not ashfur vrs brambleclaw. They take notice of the line from ashfur, “my fuss was never with brambleclaw, it was with you, squirrelflight.” So thanks for that.

I think I screamed when I opened discord today and found out that the final part was done!! This is seriously my favourite Halloween map from you thanks to the awesome concept and parts who helped with the aestethic (if that’s how you spell it)

The fact this map will be 4 years old this October is crazy to me, I've loved this map since the day it came out, all the animators did a fantastic job!
Im so excited! Having seen the process from beginning to end on the server, everyone worked so hard to get it done in time ^^ Gonna look so good set together

The emotions in this MAP feels very raw and spooky, which is excellent for a Halloween MAP! Particularly the fire scene and the literal symbolism with the heart, all those parts were Wild! and the aftermath with Squirrelflight being surrounded by her hurt loved one’s felt like a somber quiet moment after all the action before beforehand. I think having this be from her POV along with the nightmare feel made this whole MAP, along with everyone’s hard work

He helped Hawkfrost in an attempt to overthrow his clan leader because he was rejected. Please note that Firestar actually lost a life a day after the fox trap incident from wounds.
Trapped three young cats in a fire in an attempt to have Squirrelflight for himself.
I'm sooo happy to see it done, can't wait to watch it! It's been amazing to get to know all the great artists who took part in this. You're all such wonderful people ^^

IT TURNED OUT INCREDIBLE, EVERYONE!! Your script for this was so unique and fun to work with; everyone really brought out the atmosphere and emotion so well and I love how this particular map brings out just how creepy he was and the extent of the harm he caused to Squirrelflight and her family!!!! It was an honor to be able to participate in this, Thank you so much for letting me participate; it looks absolutely gorgeous!!

the song being just so chill while ashfur almost murders some people and the fact that he's smiling just gives it all a very eerie vibe and I *love it*
this is one of the best MAPs I've seen in a while, like it is AMAZING. seriously, the atmosphere, music and everyone's style go perfectly together. i LOVE the concept of ashfur haunting squirrelflight up until the fire scene, and i LOVE the scene with hollyleaf at the end where the blood puddle forms around her paws. their emotions are conveyed sooo well

You're like the only one that creates MAP's that actually freak me out. Watched this when it came out and I still can't get over it, it's so cool. Something interesting to think about is that Ashfur did not torture Holyleaf throughout the map at all. We have the grief from Bramblestar (1:22) and the almost death scene from Lionblaze (2:00) however Holyleaf only showed her appearance at 4:21, with blood everywhere indicating she was going to stop the torture everyone else was feeling and kill Ashfur.
I find it impressive how much depth the animators can pack into just a few seconds of their artwork
The mood in this is fanamininal. You really feel squirrel flights tension as this all goes down. The fox trap scene especially is spine chilling
The transitions, the expressions, the story, and style; it's all so well done! I can't believe I didn't find this sooner! If there was a heart button, I'd click it.

I come back to this occasionally. I watched this when it first came out, kind of nostalgic lol.
This is really brutal, but I love it! Everybody did a great job! It really had that disturbing feel! Which is perfect for a map for this, i could go on forever about the things I loved, I’ll do some of my absolute favourites! I love the details and the animation, It’s really smooth and the transitions don’t clash, I love the general idea and the pallete! I love the idea of ashFur haunting and I must say I love the FireStar part, that is really in key to the games I watch and enjoy.
I don’t usually get creeped out by these types of things but, wow.
That sent chills down my spine, thank you for this beautiful and terrifying map.

Ashfur is such a dangerous creep. Legit scary map. Waves of real fight or flight feelings washed right over me. This was a beautiful map and I'm glad to sub to new people.

I like how Hollyleaf was the only one not psychically damaged by Ashfur (other than Squilf, of course, but I'm talking about Ashfur's targets, and Squilf wasn't one of them) yet she was damaged the most mentally. Not only did she discover that her existence went against the very code she borderline worshipped, but she also murdered Ashfur, which only made her mental state deteriorate worse. It's interesting.
Also, I love how a M.A.P. around Ashfur focuses more on Squirrelflight, and how Ashfur isn't even properly shown until the fire scene. It's like he was a threat at the edge of Squilf's mind, something she knew was there but wasn't quite sure what it was until he revealed himself. I just love how something that features Squirrelflight's identity more than Ashfur's meant for Ashfur feels like it is based around Ashfur if that makes any sense. Great job to everyone involved! (Even if I am a year late...haha 😅)
