Wow, the SunStar’s are ( thanks to you) my biggest B O L O models. I currently own maybe 4 of them and the level of detail and the paint work make the brand truly collectible. They’re right up there with early Ertl. I admit that assembly was a bit lacking ( nothing that I couldn’t correct) Thanks again for sharing.

@@wiltorino1 I have the 54 Chevy convertible and the outside rear view mirror (as on all of that model) just wasn’t correct and it really bugged me. I’ve replaced it with a more appropriate period correct and had to adjust the drivers side A Pilar those are some of the flaws I’ve encountered. I also have the hardtop convertible Ford that required a few tweaks as well, otherwise I simply chalk it up to my OCD and otherwise they’re really nice die cast cars.

@@ronmccants1513 ah sorry that you had some problem with certain models, for the moment I have never had this problem and especially never with the Platinum editions which are really very good quality!

@@wiltorino1 No problem, I just consider it part of the maintenance on my collection. They’re purchased for display and it kinda reminds me of the tweaks I made on my real cars. I’ve also purchased some high end Kyosho, Minichamp, and Autoart needing minor repairs and hunt for suitable replacement parts ( being retired) it just gives me something to do. Some of the repairs are to models north of $600 and there’s a real sense of accomplishment being able to add them to my collection. Not planning on starting a RUclips channel but one day I’ll figure a way to share some of my prized collection.

@@ronmccants1513 Yes I understand you for the improvements on your Die Cast! I happened to do it once on my Ford Torino 1969 Talladega it didn't have the tire brand on its side so I added them, I think it looks sportier and today I took a closer look at my collection and its true over time sometimes little things fall off cars like I just saw that on Chevy Impala from 1961 the interior rearview mirror fell off and it's very very hard to put it back it's very hot so for the moment I don't know how to do it
