Brenda have you come across the pattern that you chain one in the miter Stitch I have a pattern that's asking for this and it is really confusing compared to this other mitered Stitch
THANK YOU! For simplifying this :) Not my first rodeo at crochet, but following a new pattern I couldn't make heads or tails of the beginning, you made quick work of breaking it down in a super easy way!
Thank You for this video, it is just what I was looking for, I am going to make some dishclothes like this. You make everything so easy to understand. Thanks Again
This looks super easy to do I will be trying this for a bigger project. I love the concept to connecting a bunch of squares together with to create a blanket.
Thank you for this! I saw a tv show on Annie's where they showed making this in decreasing rows and it was very confusing to me. Showing it as an increase makes more sense to my mind. Thanks again!
Thank you, now l see & understand the miter st. Although the pattern l have calls for a ch 1 then 3sc in one st. So l am still a little confused about this pattern. l have searched You Tub
I also have the sugar and cream book and am confused about the direction " sc3tog made", I found out that the sc3tog means "single crochet 3 together" does that mean I sc 3 in the last loop? I am not sure I am even saying that correctly. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
+Connie Graff Yes, every time you reach the "point" of the corner, you sc 3 in the same loop. That is what gives you the increase count in the rows as you continue on.
Ok I see what you are doing. But I have the lily sugar and cream book, and I'm doing mitered dishcloth and I can't seem to line up the lines correctly, can you please help me. Thank you.
There are several ways! You can look up joining squares to find your favorite. On these, I would likely use a similar color yarn and whip stitch them. Here is some videos on different joining techniques. the flat braid join is pretty too! ruclips.net/p/PL4C2D00AD9E17B034
I am making a picture frame. It starts with 12 sc then single in 3rd from hook and across 9 and 5 in one stitch. Then work on other side. Making 8 sc and 4 sc in one sc. I think I got this. But my stitches don’t come out the same count. Do I always make my three sc at the corner in the center sc? I understand your method and think maybe I’m doing my pattern wrong. I think I will follow your method and try again.
I seem to be having problems actually making a square, I count each line and make sure the numbers are right and im using the same brand yarn and the same thickness but yet it doesnt end up looking like a square. More like a very crooket square/triangle thing
Alexandra Yates You may have to block it. If you watch the video again, you will notice I tug and push the square as I go to shape it better. That is called finger blocking. You can also wet it, and pin it into shape and apply steam.

Thank you, Beth

I love this pattern, I'm going to use it to make some Preemie blankets. Thank-you so much Beth, I love your videos.
Cool.
This brings back memories of my first crochet project in school (when I was 6 yo - which is more decades back than I care to admit. LOL).
Awesome

You must have happened upon this either my editing it or during a You Tube update. Try again.

+Alexandra Yates Yes, block it as you go. I was having the same issue and once I started blocking it the shape came out square.
Beth do you have a Twitter account or Facebook page we can follow?
