Tarja adapting the singing in a metal setting is much harder, so very difficult to compare them. I don't know how Sessil would sound in a metal stage constantly moving. A gorgeous voice nonetheless.
The thing about Sissel is that she sings so effortlessly and natural (no showing off or theatrical mimics). She barely opens her mouth and it doesnt look like she uses any strengh at all...and the crystal clear tones just flows out. I am no expert on singing technique, but Sissel’s voice is definately more pleasant to listen to. Tarja sounds more sceeechy and forced on her high notes.
Tarja opens her mouth that wide because she is classically trained and if you look at other videos of her singing, you’ll notice that she can go up to these high notes with no effort as well and even higher You also have to consider that Tarja is a metal vocalist and her voice has to be a bit „heavier“
@@lilith7867 Yeah, she has an amazing voice, no doubt. Sissel is a soprano. My point was that Sissel sings so effortlessly, it doesnt even look like she use any strength when she sings those high clear notes. It just flows out. She has always sang this naturally. No mimmicks as a lot of other singers does when they are reaching the high notes. They are both amazing, and they are totally different type of singers, so they shouldnt even be compared in a «battle».
Can not compare, different genre, just the same style of singing. Tarja's voice is heavier in tone to match the metal sound while SIssel is light. Both are amazing singer.
I don't understand this comparison. Tarja adapted her voice to fit singing rock music. If she never joined Nightwish, she might have gotten to the same level. She had to tone her voice down to fir the music, and people still complain that she"s too operatic.
Exactly! She had to sing over distorted guitars and hard drum beats and still to be heard. And when she started to combine in time classical concerts with rock gigs she is accused to be too operatic or no many lows on her compositions. It is insane. What she has achieved is unique and amazing. Do both styles at that level is very difficult on my opinion. Nevertheless Sissel is extraordinary singer, and deserves all compliments you can imagine. Great video!

Tarja ❤️🤘
As good as Tarja is, Sissel is probably the best soprano in the world - and has been for last three decades.
To beautiful voices
Do you mean TWO beautiful voices, or To beautiful voices, like you're toasting.
Two, was a typo
You can hear Sissel’s voice much better and more clear because her voice is the main instrument on the scene
Tarjaaaaa 😍❤️

Sissel is easier to listen to.

Tarja has much better projection and technique to her voice.
