    I believe TTL is very useful for 'run n gun' situations such as shooting events where people don't have time for you to manually adjust your exposure esp. while changing location or with ambient light changes. Also having HSS capability on shoe means you can shoot outdoors with minimal budget i.e. only a reflector is needed. No need for a trigger, softbox etc

    • @umar_withra
      @umar_withra  4 года назад +2

      I completely agree with your first point because i myself use the TTL when i just have one shot opportunity because i might not be able to take a second shot but for outdoor shoot using a hot shoe mounted flash is a big no for me. i have tried using a direct flash and trust me the results awful. in terms of percentage i use manual flash 90% of the time. There is nothing right or wrong associated with TTL flashes its just about what do you want. no one is better than the other its just about when you need one.

      yes it can be used in HSS mode while using it OFF camera. I have TT600 and i do use it if required but keep in mind if Flash is in HSS mode its Power will be exponentially reduced to you might have to use the setup in Low Ambient light or use 2 speedlights together.

      depend on alot of factors battery mah, working temmperature,power you are using,manual or ittl model, batteries age etc. i usually got about 350-400 shots while using 2500 mah batteries using them about 1/8 to 1/4 power. no idea about full power. i guess they will be around 100-150 at max still its just my guess.
