A short introduction to ITS
• Introduction to ITS
Windows users:

The programs need to run some files in Linux so the first step is to download:
Cygwin (similar to a Linux distribution on Windows)

You can download it here:
www.cygwin.com/ try setup-x86_64.exe
________________
and when installing, don´t forget to mark these files:
for C compiler install gcc. You will also need a program called "expect". and Probably also the SDL library, or "libsdl" and "MAKE" the newer versión.
with cygwin installed you can clone the Git hub repository found here:
ITS GitHub repository: github.com/PDP-10/its
(ITS is like the Operating system and we need to mount in the emulator)

Now open the Cygwin console:

you can clone a repository by selecting the green button "code" in github, and the copy the URL provided, then go to the cygwin console and use the command clone and paste the url.

Note that cygwin directory Will be like this
C:\cygwin\home
________________
*[In cygwin and in CMD, you can reach the directory by tipping CD in the console and then grabbing the folder in the file explorer and moving the folder directly to the console] + Enter

with the repository of ITS now, you´ll need to use “Make” in cygwin to build the repository.
like this:

make EMULATOR=pdp10-ka

(the repository includes a Makefile (file) that contains the instructions to build the disk image and leaves built files in the "out" directory, one of which is a disk image with ITS installed.
(With cygwin)
go to "its" directory

crono@Krono /cygdrive/c/cygwin/home/crono/its

(being crono replaced by your username)
and then write
./start (Enter)
After that, you Will see a
DSKDMP prompt
Now Write:
Its (Enter)
ESC G (Enter) (note: when you press “ESC” a “$” symbol Will appear, then press "g" without space)
you will get a screen like this

Open CMD in Windows
Now go to the directory of the emulator
(for example on my PC)

(note: then write "simlac.exe script" like this)

this will open ¨[imlac PDS-1] window:
now in this new window, write:

[note: the input in "its" is very weird, all the keys are changed
for example in my keyboard to obtain the two points symbol " : " I have to press Alt + - ]
^K = Ctrl + K
now you should be able to run maze, because the game is included in "its"

es irónico que el shooter mas antiguo del mundo no pueda ser jugado de ninguna manera, un juego tan sencillo y no tiene software de instalación ni manera de bajarlo ni nada, hay que hacer un follón de programación para poder jugarlo, irónicamente le esta pasando igual a juegos antiguos de principios de los 2000s cuyos softwares tienen dificultades de compatibilidad con los programas de compatibilidad de los windows modernos. dice mucho del camino que sigue la tecnología esto es como lo de los juegos sin bots que ya no se pueden jugar

es correcto y la mayoría de la información acerca de estos juegos, estaban en paginas cuyos dominios ya se extinguieron, lo que hace más difícil encontrar información, tristemente.

@@mmestari it's called 3D Monster Maze for the ZX81. You can also play it on a ZX Spectrum through its included ZX81 emulator.

@@KR0NO I already founded it, the next improvement of this game dated 1974 has white screen and walls and yes, it depicts a sort of missiles departing from the player perspective

Is this movement considered fps? If so I don't get why early dungeon crawler games would not also be considered fps and there was always a clear distinction between those and fps and I suppose now there is not.

i´ts a multiplayer game, you shoot other players, but it´s difficult to find somo players online for a 1974 game, let me check with a friend, to se if i can record a VS battle.

ahh i supposed i need to stop procrastinating, and make that tutorial for this game. there are a lot of problems with the directory structure. so i need to check on that.
The first error message means the IMLOAD program isn't there on your system. Maybe you have the wrong disk image for ITS.
The TS MAZE error could be for the same reason, or if you forgot to type :cwd games
