If you think back, you can probably remember those lazy summer afternoons that dragged on, no matter what you did to pass the time. Your only respite was a trip to the corner store where you found delight in the plethora of candies available. These days, it would be nice to enjoy some of those same treats, but the passage of time has disposed of many them … or so it seems. Behold 10 candies that you forgot still existed.

SUMMARIES:
- There were, of course, those days where all you wanted was a refreshing bottle of soda, and sometimes, no matter the flavor, it would always do the trick … as long as it was sweet, fresh and bubbly.
- This one can be compared to the Milky Way and the Three Musketeers Bar in many ways, as Charleston Chews were quite similar, in that it was chocolate-coated nougat.
- Back in the day, before tablets, iPhones and the listening of digital recordings of your favorite songs, there were many options of candies, specifically jelly candies, then there seem to be today.
- The Black Licorice flavor is often the candy that seems to get neglected by one and all, many deciding to leave them out of their course of attack when faced with a large and colorful bowl of candies, whether it be JuJubes or Jelly Beans of course.
- Sometimes, it’s the simpler candies that are remembered most fondly, the ones that were eaten by one’s parents and grandparents, no matter how hard it is to imagine one’s grandparents as children.
- The exclamation mark in the name really says it all. And for those of you who remember the flavors available in one single miniature bite, will indeed remember this one fondly. But as it turns out, you won’t have to rely on the memory of the impactful taste alone.
- And yes … if we dig deep enough into the recesses of our youth, these too will stand out. They were first introduced in 1936 and that means that it won’t be long until this candy to turns 100 years old!
- And speaking of trips taken to the past, this candy here was made quite popular again in the film 13 Going On 30 starring Jennifer Garner, a film that has achieved cult status over the long years since its release.
- The candy in which the moniker was just as “cute” as its shape. These candies were indeed much smaller than other variants of caramel candies, essentially the size of Jelly Beans. And don’t knock it either.
- There sure are a lot of chewy brands of candy still available these days. And when we look back, there were actually even more out there. The earliest candies were, of course, the hard candy sorts, and there were even more of those, but the chewy candies gained favor later.

As a type 1 diabetic who was diagnosed at 23 I don't get to enjoy sweets like I used to but when I get low blood sugar and fellow type 1s can relate the overwhelming urge to consume sugar is crazy, for me mind goes straight to bottle caps, nerds and fun-dips.

I can find Cow Tales even in literal Arts and Crafts store.

I never forget the old fashioned candy that I grew up with at all.
I do have some favorites though back from those days.
Like chick-o-sticks, dots, redfish, cow tales, sour patch kids, fireballs, nerds,
Root beer barrels, gummy bears, the butterscotch little candies, Tootsie rolls, jawbreakers, the ice cream cone candies. I just had a name a few.
Oh wow I've completely forgot about the ice cream cone candies. The ones with the marshmallow in them. I might have to look online and order some. Lol

I’ve seen every single one of these in a store called “Rocket Fizz” they have a lot of locations in the USA.

Ahoyhoy There, Fellow RUclipsrino! There's a Rocket Fizz in my area , I love it. In my Rocket Fizz, there's a huge Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan from Monsters Incorporated, and a real live VW Bug with A large Bartholomew JoJo Simpson and Lisa Marie Simpson riding in the car. There's also things like Moxy cola, Duff energy drink, and, during the holidays, they sometimes give out free Rocket Fizz decals.

Bottle caps used to be the size of actual bottle caps. Wacky wafers were about 1.25" diameter. You used to be able to get sweet tarts that were about 2" in diameter and 3/8ths " think.
I saw bottle caps candy in my local dollar tree and Charleston chews too cowtales too at dollar tree
my all time childhood favorite was "chick-o-stick", which is still being made, but is hard to find.

I still see them in a few stores and even found some sugar free ones. They tasted the same to me, but I like most sugar free stuff.

does anyone remember the candy bar with seven segments all with different fillings? I think it called the 7-up bar, but I'm not sure...it was one of my all time favorites. I don't know if they make them anymore, I haven't been able to find any even online.

It isn't a penny of course, but you can fill a little bag with blasts from your past. I get the Cow Tails for the cream inside lol. Sugar Mama was the best! TFS 😊
Cow tails used to be sold at some football games (I know this since I use to be a cheerleader) and also at a store called runnings is the u.s that had it to and a lot of old-schook candys.
I totally forgot about bottle caps. I loved them in the 70's. Ate them all the time. I also loved sugar daddy too. One of my favorites.

I’m not even lying, when Warheads came out I was in Elementary school. They literally couldn’t be found anywhere at our local grocery stores bc we, as kids, would buy them all up, take them to school, and sell them off to each other. It was like a black market. The most expensive ones were (of course) the lemon which would run us 25 cents each LOL

Bottle Caps and Warheads. I’m not much a chocolate person. But as someone mentioned, a lot of these can be found in Dollar General or Dollar Tree stores still. Good video regardless!

I had a Oreo Flavored CowTail last weekend and it was amazing.But Bottle Caps are still my go too when i want candy. It also brings me back to my childhood.

I just bought a box of Bottle Caps today! They are a guilty pleasure and my local Dollar General has the for 1.00! Look on the very bottom rack in the candy aisle! 🌻
anyone recall Cadbury's Whispa bar? those were so good, melted in your mouth. also, NECCO wafers, Boston baked beans, and candy buttons, to name a few
I remember when War Heads first came out. Everyone was daring each other to put one in their mouth and not pull a face. The first to lost. The lemon and black cherry had the most bite. I don't know if my taste got worse over time because I got some super sour ones a few years back and they weren't as sour as I remember.

I remember when I was 12 and sitting on the garage roof with a friend in the 70's that we came up with a jingle for Razzles. It went, "Razzles, Razzles, Razzles get them at the store. Razzles, Razzles, Razzles get them at the store. Is it a gum or a candy? Whatever it is, it is dandy."
I think we had a closing line too, but I don't remember what is was. I can still remember the tune we created as well. We thought we could sell this to whomever made Razzles and make some money. Ah, the mind of a 12 year old.
